Hi Simpson. The Book of Ecclesiastes that you see in the Bible is understood to have been written by King Solomon ( Ecclesiastes 1:1). Ecclesiasticus is an Old Testament Apocryphal Book (you can find it on this Site by going to the top bar on the Main Page, under "More"). This book, alongwith several others, was not canonized (i.e. not regarded as authoritative when certain tests were applied to them). "Canon" comes from the Greek, kanon, which means 'measuring stick or rule'. As much as there is good value in those books, the dubious authorship & errors found within them, forces one to do a careful reading. So, we don't have these apocryphal books included in the KJV, though some other Bible versions, particularly the Catholic Edition, include them. I understand that Orthodox Churches refer to them as well.

Thanks.
