    The Gospel of Nicodemus, identifies her as Claudia Procula, and a granddaughter of the Emperor Augustus.

    While the Bible does not tell us who the wife of Pilate the governor was, the Apocryphal book, The Gospel of Nicodemus, identifies her as Claudia Procula, and a granddaughter of the Emperor Augustus.
