In this chapter, the Apostle Paul writes about the supremacy of Love over all the Gifts of the Spirit. From verse 8, he says that one day all those gifts will fade away & disappear, but NOT Love. So, while our knowledge in all things is very deficient compared to what God knows, one day all that will change when "that which is perfect comes".
There are differing views on what "that" is. Some say, the Word of God, so that we may know much more now, than Christians in those days. Others feel that it is when Christ comes (but then, why refer to Him as "that" or not "Christ"?), or maybe when we reach full maturity in Christ, as individuals & as a Church, most likely when we're in God's Presence. When this happens our knowledge will be complete. But for now, (v 12) we 'look at a mirror that is not well made or polished, therefore not with clarity (as in those days with silver or brass & not glass), but one day we will see all things clearly. Now our knowledge is only partial, but in the future we will know all things, even knowing ourselves as how God knows & sees us'.
