This chapter is a series of prophecies about Israel forgetting the Lord God in walking away from his word and how Israel would consequently suffer oppression from its foes. But ultimately, the Lord Jehovah would repay Israel�s oppressors and redeem Israel.
Most of such prophecies were fulfilled in the course of time and have been written to our learning, so that we may place our faith not in ourselves, but in God.
Just like Israel�s prosperity and freedom were conditioned on their relationship with Jehovah, so are ours today too as Christians, our prosperity and freedom are conditioned on our good is relationship with Jehovah God, through Christ Jesus, Romans 15:4-7.
