They lie, cheat , buy and sell drugs to make money for their habit. I have tried for 6+ years to get help for her....... my husband passed a year ago, I am 79 only income is SS. Please help me...... where can I get the help she needs???

You can't I know but all you can do now is hope that these prayers will help her and if they don't that's ok cause you are looking out for her and you will always be there for her so that should count as something and the thing is you tried. My grandma tried to get my mom off of drugs and it wouldn't work she tried everything and it still wouldn't work but it's ok I know it can be scary to see a loved one go down this path but if you got god by your side you shouldn't be scared cause he will do what is right and it might not be what you want but it is what has to happen.

    Hello Kay,

First I am truly sorry to hear about your husband's passing and the issues with your daughter. I can only imagine how hopeless and violated you must feel at times.

    Keep your faith. Unceasing prayer.

Sometimes, tough love is beneficial. Maybe if she spends quality time in jail she will be able to sober up. Theft on a "small scale" won't keep her there long though.

Try making a few calls in your city or county. Job and Family Services, addiction clinic, even homeless shelters will be able to provide other contacts. A simple call to the police or sheriff may also get you numbers of organizations to call. The problem is that we can very rarely force anyone to change, as I'm sure you are well aware. Not only are we speaking about her but also her husband which creates more depth of difficulty.

Keep praying. Make a few calls. Pray more.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter.

May God bless you and bring his healing hands into your family.

    Oh Kay!

I am so sorry for you! Just reading through your story made me really sad your daughter did that! Why did she do that? How old is she? What church do you go to?

You are DEFINITELY in my prayers and prayer list.

    Praying for you!

    Sarah J.
