Fasting actually has many health benefits. Your body will enter into ketosis that will in a way purify your body and rid it of toxins and will also burn away fat. It also sharpens the mind. People forget this when they're used to having food in their stomach all the time, but when you go without for a couple days you will find extra mental clarity and sharpness. Conventional wisdom only a decade or more ago claimed the opposite, but experts have recently realized the many benefits.
