The power of baptism is that the baptisee repents of their sins and accepts Jesus Christ as their savior - not who actually does the baptizing. In the case of Jesus, he had no sins to repent of, but rather to acknowledge his righteousness and dedication to doing the will of God which was signified by the Holy Spirit descending on him.
