    I hate that animals had to be killed and sacrificed for sin. But I love that Jesus ended that practice when He offered up himself for all sin and sacrifice of animals were done away with.

    Frank, The reason we had to sacrifice animals is because WE sinned. It's not like God just wanted us to kill animals for his pleasure. Before Adam and Eve got us started on this journey Man cared for and had dominion over the animals and did not kill and eat them. It's called a sacrifice because you have to give up something. You have to feel the pain of giving up something to truly understand what sacrifice means. Imagine how God felt giving up his son to pain and suffering for a people who didn't even understand what he was doing for us all.
