Two places this is used , in ex. 3:5 and he said, draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. and in act 7:33 then said the lord to him, put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground. both places i think your shoes are symbles of dirt or sin in your walk, spiritually put off the sin in you when you come before god. we do this by confession and repentance. by faith our sin is removed by christ. if you confess your sin he is faithful to forgive and cleanse
There are only two commands given to the church: Lords Supper, and Baptism. Anything other than that falls into the matra of Legalism. Further, by mine own thoughts. All of our nerve ending are in our feet, figuratively we are to walk accordingly.
In my understanding there are only a few times that was commanded
Exodus 3:5
Joshua 5:15
I have witnessed some women singing worship barefoot.
However the Bible says there's also a time commanded to put shoes on.
Exodus 12:11
Ezekiel 24:15-17
