    Pride deceives he who says, You said this life is vanity and that all things are done. Nay: for your err it is written, God requires that which is past. and, God NOW commands all men every where to repent: and again, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness: but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
