It is by the Faith of Christ Jesus that we have no sin, it has nothing to do with us. Christ work is finished, and He has taken "sin" away from the world. Therefore, sin does not exist in this Universe you cannot sin and Science proves it.
Hi Kennneth, I've been hearing this opinion more and more recently and I've read the Bible, prayed about it and feel convicted that this is only a deception by satan. The holy spirit has confirmed that while Jesus has washed our sin away through his grace that we are to make a full effort to avoid sin. Matt 5:48, John 14:15- if not then you don't love Jesus according to the Bible.
Matt 5:48 does not say to make a full effort to avoid sin, it is about loving those who hate you, read the pasage. However, Ephesians 2:8 tells us that we are saved through faith, Christ faith, and that not of yourselves.
People often make the assumption that because you are saved by grace that a Christian doesn't need to do anything- Can just do evil and worldly things just like anyone else. But if you carefully read the Bible across all its scriptures you will see that's untrue. You can literally Google search and come up with countless verses that say Christians those already saved must proactively avoid sin.
Your personal behavior only affects YOU, according to our one and only new commandment "love one another as Christ have loved you, that ye also love one another," John 13:43. Your time in the hereafter will be judged according to this new commandment, so love one another as Christ has loved you and that's all you can do. Love.
People's behavior affects others very much, not just oneself. If someone murdered one of your family members I'm sure you would agree that it would affect not just the dead family member, but you and the rest of your family, friends, their community. Love is an umbrella command in order to simplify. People don't murder others in love, for example, which is why that's a sin.
As a matter of fact, our faith, personally has absolutely nothing to do with it. After an estimated one quintillion occurences of the seven days of creation. the Universe is perfect and there can be no sin!
When someone is in the habit of studying the Bible every day, over time after one has read it through a few times you begin to make more connections and see common themes throughout. One is obedience. No where does the Bible says once you accept Christ you just 'do whatever sin you want', because it 'doesn't matter'. Quite the opposite. The book of James explains this commonly misunderstood topic.
That sounds good, but you are going to have to give me specifics, as I have done, in order to support your argument. We cannot sin, sin no longer exist!
Hi Kenneth, actually I did provide verses and said you can Google search for the whole list. Type in 'Bible Verses About Avoiding Sin' and you'll find a list on this site of 13 verses on avoiding sin, if you type in and 'Bible verses on obedience' you will see a list of 60 verses. The Bible is full of examples of being obedient and avoiding sin. What verses do you have that say sinning is ok?
But all your posts are from the beginning, or the third day of the creation. We, of the fourth day of the creation, have the blood of Christ to save us.That is the difference.
The, "whosoever," in Mark 8:35 does not refer to you, it is a reference for Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can save you, you can't save yourself. Remember, you don't haver the faith of a mustard seed... Matthew 17:20.
Being obedient to God doesn't mean you're saving yourself. It means you're being a Christian. Romans 6 and James 2 already explained this concept in detail. Do you believe that Romans 6 and James 2 in the inspired word of God?
I believe the KJV Bible is a record of the six days of the creation. From Genesis to Psalms is from the beginning: the everlasting first day, Psalms and part of Proverbs is from the second day and from Proverbs 8:22 through to the end of the KJV Bible is from the third day.
Yes of course, Romans 6 and James 2 are the the Word of God, but only in the KJV Bible. Christ saved you when he died and was resurrected from the grave, 2000 years ago. His work is finished and you now have everlasting life. There is nothing you can do about that. How you comply with our new commandment, you know the one about love, is what will establish your position in the hereafter.
Yes but all that applies to the third day of creation, we of the fourth day have the blood of Christ and don't have to do anything to have eternal life. However one's position in the hereafter will be influenced by a new commandment, John 13:34KJV.
