    'daughter of babylon' hopefully is a symbolic generalization of any person that is wrapped up entirely in carnality and is a warning about the temporal nature of material things. What is sad is that people will use passages like this to justify their callousness to the suffering of others...'they deserve what they got, they are infidels, heathen, etc. etc'.

    Biblefan: Babylon is Rome and her daughters are all the churches christian that are in apostasy and are following Romes RCC ways.
