Not by works of Righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Gost; Titus 3:5 Jesus did it all, all we have to do is believe 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and take Paul's Gospel that Jesus gave him through a revelation. Jesus has chosen Paul for Salvation today, Romans through Philemon explain all this. God bless you ....

This ONE true GOD exists as three persons: GOD the FATHER ( Acts 4:4); GOD the SON ( John 1-1:3); GOD the HOLY SPIRIT ( Ps 104:30)
God exists in three persons who are equal in their attributes and yet individual and distinct in their offices and ministries. Matt 3:16-17; Eph 1:3-14; 2Thess 2:13-14; Titus 3:4-6

We are saved by both God's mercy ( Titus 3:5, which prevents us from going to Hell) and His grace ( Ephesians 2:8, which allows us to go to Heaven instead). Since God's saving mercy endureth forever, it becomes impossible for someone who gets saved to ever experience Hell! Psalm 136 is a wonderful reminder (26 times) of God's forever-enduring mercy. We have been hit over the head with this truth!

To MPHATSO - the 'more' you need is - ACTS 2:37-38. If you need more than this - then you're out of luck.
Acts chapter 2 is where the of Jesus Christ began; chapter 2 is the very 1st message preached in the church. All the books hat follow are to ALREADY established churches; they are instructions on what GOD (not man) expects of His people. There is an ORDER to God's word; it's not hit or miss.

Yes we should have works in our lives as Christians, but we must be careful that our works are the result of the fruit of the Holy Spirit and not based on human effort. All of the striving in the world does not impress God.A Christian artist once wrote,"striving for perfection when the only perfect thing I had was weakness" Think about it! He is the source of fruit and Christian works! Trust Him!

Titus lets me know that I was apart of a world that spoke evil of all men whether saved or unsaved, where people brawl against one another did foolish things, served as diver lust and pleasures for men, people lived in malice and envy being hateful and hating one another, but when they accepted the Lord as their savior according to his grace and mercy they were washed and regenerated and renewed of the holy Ghost, they began to take on the spirit of meekness and gentleness toward all men and walk in obedience of the word of God. They had to take off the old man and walk in the newness of Christ. Being justified by grace we are heirs according to the hope of eternal life. We are to maintain good works unto all men, works that can be justified as fruitful until Christ himself return to rapture us.

The kindness and love of the Father our Savior appeared to all people and appeared to us. It 's not through our own work of righteousness, but according to His mercy He saved us. With washing Spiritual cleansing to cause a complete moral reformation in us, and to renew us in the Holy Spirit. And to strongly built us through Jesus Christ our Savior. We are justified by his grace, and made heirs to the hope of eternal life. Believers must be careful to continue in good works. These things are good and profit all people. As God 's people we are to be ready to every good work, submissive, tame, patient, and humble. Running the race to the end.

Over and over again David declares his love for God 's law. It wasn 't enough for David just to know the law but to walk towards perfection in it. A simple reading of this Psalm alone shows this. The second part of this verse is key though. Quicken me in your righteousness. David knew God had a righteousness unattainable by human effort so he prayed, quicken me, bring me to life, revive me, for that 's the only way God 's righteousness will be mine. Titus 3:5n Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration. There it is, to make alive.

verse two says speaks evil of no man whether those in the govt that are not performing well or the boss that is like pharaoh or the friend, brethen or church leaders that have disappointed us. and also says we should show meekness unto all men even our employees, officers that are lower in rank, our children or dependants- all men even if they are unbelievers while we remain pure in the will of GOD. Ipray that the sanctifying power in the blood of Jesus enable us to obey HIS word with all meekness, purity and gladness of heart. It takes only HIS grace .

Thus shows how we want to be reasonable and display mildness toward everyone. We want to strive to be gentle when dealing with others, be willing to listen to others.

It relates to me abusive relatives in many instances. If someone in your family is being difficult, wont listen, try to gain them as a friend... If they cant, then flush them out of your life.

That stuborn man and woman who have refuse to comply with the doctrine of truth as practice by God 's children in a congregation, after the first and second warning and they refuse to change, rather than polluting others 1Cor 5:6 they should be rejected and cast out. My idea

Chapter 3 5 "He Saved Us " what an adoring thought it is. Ruined sinners to reclaim Hallelujah what a Saviour. Sealed my pardon with His Blood.... Full atonement can it be ..Hallelujah what a saviour.... "He saved us "
  • William Fulghum on Titus 3:10 - 10 years ago
I think that if you preach the word from the Bible you are doing your part you were just giving them a choice of studying themselves and research and I don 't think you are dividing the congregation up.
  • Abel Syubramony on Titus 3 - 10 years ago
Chapter 3 tells us that we were once lost to this world and when we accepted JESUS CHRIST we were saved by his blood and his grace. When we see other people that are sinning we must not talk bad about them realising that we was in the same situation in our own lives.we must rather pray for them and tell them the love of GOD and tell them what GOD has done for you. When we were sinners we did not know the love of CHRIST but after we was washed in the blood we know the love of CHRIST and the old life that you used to lead are know dead and you become a new creation.

There are doctrines of devils, man need to repent to be excepted by the Holy Ghost into the body of Christ . The friction comes only when this is interfered with by the devils advocate.

I think the reference of genealogies is very interesting There are certain people of good Stock or privilege that feel they have the right to step on people they feel are beneath them or in certain religious circles Make you to feel guilty But in the kingdom of heaven those of the lowest perceived stature will hold the highest position at the right hand of Jesus Christ

Matthew 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

They are them that believe in Jesus and have mot followed other gods

The foolish took their lamps (souls), and took no oil (Holy Sprit) with them.

    Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

Mark 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

Verse 38 says,"But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant." A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. ( Titus 3:10-11). The Holy Spirit will bear witness to the truth. You saw in the verses that God used the deceiver to decieve those who wouldn't receive the love of the truth. I don't have to conform to this world and use "good words and fair speeches to DECEIVE the hearts of the simple."( Rom 16:18). This modern world is all about love, love, love, and don't see both sides of God. They aren't serving the God of the Bible. A lopsided God is who they are serving today. God is a God of love, but also of wrath. When the Church is caught out (Cor ch 15 and 1 Thess 4) the world will see God's wrath ( Rev 6:17). Have a nice day! That was positive :)
