Hello, does this mean you do not believe all scripture like Luke 12:10? Since it clearly says those who blaspheme won't be forgiven, are you saying blasphemers are forgiven? opposite of what it says . Christians need to continually report and ask forgiveness of sin and try to not conform to the world: Romans 2:2. Matthew 7:21-23 is how Jesus will respond to Christians who deny Him. Rom 6:1-2.

Cheryl, Romans 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

there is nothing hidden from God, we are all sinners and until we receive Christ, we then see openly our sinful ways, and how much we hate those things we fell into by our own self, you cannot preach to another if you don't follow what you preach, that is dishonoring the word of God, never say your entitled because God said so, did he? He gave his only son for us all, stay humble, Pray daily GB

I love how Paul clearly states that all men are equal, that circumcision of the flesh means nothing because no man is righteous "no not one." A true Jew, which means true Israel is only those circumcised of the heart through and by the Holy Spirit.

Marlo: Not Sure what You're Saying. Jews Today Don't Believe in Jesus as The Savior. They're Still Waiting for Elijah to Show-Up. We Know that was John The Baptist. All that have Been Circumcised in Their Heart are Now Jews( Romans 2:28- 29) I Think that's what You're Saying.

It seems that law. man's law is flawed in many ways. unless God be in it. I know God's law is perfect. I'm still trying to make sense of it all. I know I can sin without trying. it looks like too judge is as sinful as the sinner. I'll stay in his word it gives me peace. shine's a light on it. better to come out of the darkness than a closet.

Verse 29~Paul was saying they are all of the anointed so they are all Jews. They were all spiritual Israelites. Paul was completely breaking down the barriers. Unity is the theme of Romans.

Kieran88; "For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written." I think you got it right. More broadly; Jesus said in Matthew 5:3-12, that we who are called to be His Blessed Elect, that show forth the nature of our Father in heaven through the contradictions and temptations of this evil world, are His light in the world and the salt which keeps it from rotting.

2:24 is this saying that the Jews wasn't sometimes following the law being hypocrites so the gentiles sometimes was not taking God or the Jews seriously. like in the ten commandments do not use Lords name in vain. or am i missing the point?

Verses 14,15~People in the world have a conscience. That is why everywhere you go it is wrong to kill, steal, lie, and etc. Everyone has a conscience, but some choose to ignore their conscience.

Howdy all. Regarding Rom. 2:13 and contemporary interpretations of that statement. The law Paul is referencing is not the OT written code. The law has been changed Heb. 7:12, and it is the change he is referencing. Therefore any soteriological allegation which proposes that it is unnecessary to obey a law in order to be declared righteous by God is a falsehood.

"For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified." Love is not 'lip-service' and faith is not 'stage playing' or 'misrepresenting one's true nature, behavior or motives.' Keeping the Word does not mean forgetting it, and whatever it showed you about yourself, as soon as you put down your Bible and get busy with other things! Obedience ABIDES in Him!

In Romans 2:12, 13 Apostle Paul, referring to the moral laws, says: For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but THE DOERS OF THE LAW SHALL BE JUSTIFIED. Comment: The 10 Commandments were never nailed to the cross, or abolished, they must be obeyed.

Romans 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself for thou that judgest doest the same things. This is proof that Christians do sin and need cleansing by the Word.

This chapter does not say that we are all arrogant hypocrites; but it does most effectively penetrate to the innermost thoughts and intents of our hearts, that we work so hard to hide from others, but God knows. Resting in one's being a Jew, or belonging to such and such Church, or anything whereby we might think we're better than our neighbor doesn't release us, but makes us the more accountable.
