Sister GiGi, here are more scriptures that say we are going to be gods. In the Hebrew text the words were never capitalised.

Exodus 7:1 And the Lord SAID unto Moses, See, I HAVE MADE thee a god unto Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

Joshua 22:22 The LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods ......

Psalms 82:6 I have SAID ye are gods, children of the most high.

Psalms 86:8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord, neither are there any works like unto thy works.

Psalms 95:3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great king above all gods.

Psalms 97:7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boost themselves of idols, worship him, all ye gods.

Psalms 97:9 For thou, Lord, art high above the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

Psalms 136:2 Give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth forever.

Psalms 138:1 I will praise the with my whole heart; before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.

Zechariah 12:7 The Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

Zechariah 12:8 In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the HOUSE OF DAVID shall be as God, as (the image of) the angel of the lord (that is) before them (the gods).

    Hello Janoyce,

Just to expand a little more to the truth S Spencer shared with you. As recently someone had a question similar to yours. The Love of God, Jesus Christ, is beyond what we can imagine. What I perceive as more important to ask is "do I love Jesus Christ"?

God is Holy and hates sin. To repent from the sins of this world, giving your life to Him, and live to do His Will is very important. I will just leave a couple Scriptures for you showing how important it is for us to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind. Our love for Him shall not be forgotten.

    Deuteronomy 7:9, Deuteronomy 10:12-13, Psalms 31:23, Psalms 97:10, Psalms 145:20, Proverbs 8:17, John 14:21,

    James 1:12, James 2:5,

    God Bless.

    Hello Brooke,

I like your question because it is the same thing I used to think. In my belief. Once you are saved by the Lord Jesus Christ and have a personal relationship with God there is no more need to fear Him. As pure love, for Him, will take over and your entire life with everything you do surrounds Him. In living your life after the foot steps of Christ. Living a life that makes God happy. After repentance from things of this world and living a life of Holiness, grace, and truth. Actually doing our best seriously to stay away from the sins of this world because that is what makes God happy.

Another way to look at it is the Hebrew word "yirah" for "fear" can also mean "respect, reverence, or piety". Hopefully people won't take this the wrong way and that I don't think there should be fear of God. As one of the verses states, that Adam posted, how God is Almighty and can destroy the body and soul of the evil and wicked. Sometimes fear is what may drive people toward God. Of coarse you have to believe in Him first which is a big problem in this world today.

So if you truly have an intimate relationship with God. There is no need to fear Him as love overcomes fear. Of coarse your respect and reverence for Him will be through your love. Living your life for Him. Your true love will shine to Him. Here's a couple verses you may like. God Bless you sister.

    Psalms 31:23

    Psalms 91

    Psalms 97:10

    Psalms 145:20

    Proverbs 8:7

    2 Timothy 1:7

    2 Corinthians 7:1

1 John 4:7-19. All of, 1 John is a good book on the love of God.

We Can see even David knew Jesus was coming way after his death. His writing's indicate that

he knew Jesus and God were one!! The battle is won we only have to stay focused on Christ either until we are call home or he coming back to rain.

If only those that say they love God and His Word would truly hate the evil, I firmly believe we could see the lost saved, & the land healed...He said that He would do both...

The last verse says give thanks at the remembrance of His Holiness. Unless we know holiness,we can’t give thanks for it. The Word says be ye Holy as He is Holy. It’s not something we do but what He does in us by His Spirit. He makes us Holy after the purging of the carnal nature we were born with, by the Holy Ghost. Hebrews 12 says without Holiness no one shall see God. Thank you Lord for Holiness

Verse 10 tells us to hate what is evil or bad from God's standpoint. This takes effort because bad things may appeal to our fallen flesh.

I love and notice the many parts of the Bible that speak of creation, nature, and or God sovereign hand and rule in it! It 's just one more evidence that Jah is the one true God over all the earth and the Bible is His Word. No other religious book speaks so much about nature and creation from the Creators stand point. Or

pictorial expresessions present here. Where God 's kingdom 's authority presides, we encounter happiness in many places. As a lofty mountaintop will tend to be ringed by mists and clouds, so the place where righteousness and justice are given permanence is lofty, exalted. We see fire, lightnings, hills softening and eroding, something visible of the divine righteousness and its glory kids displaying joy when God 's judgments govern...

This is simply and beautifully said. I find the verse "Clouds and darkness are round about Him; righteousness and judgement are the habitation of His throne." It helps us to realize that we, as Christians, should realize the darkness around us, should understand that there is indeed a fog, or shadow, about our hearts, and that if we follow our God, who has the same clouds around Himself, we will find light and illumination in our own lives. Sinners, which we all are, represent that darkness, but by following God, we can leave the darkness of sin and chaos and enter the world of light and truth.
