This verse is an incredible quote: One of many that when a believer quotes the verse out loud, a rush of the Holy Spirit can be felt. It holds true in the most trying of times. "O Lord how majestic is your name in all the earth"

Psalm 8 is what a friend told me to learn whenever I need to talk to Father God. I sum Psalm 8 up as "Great Jehovah is everything. And we are to Praise Him because we're nothing(Man has no meaning without the Holy One)! And we are to Love Him by Caring for one another! A friend told me to read Psalm 8. I'm one of the Savannah, Georgia resident who evacuated because of hurricane Irma!

The words of God is a light unto my feet and a lamp to path. Growing up in Christian home and now with the age of reason and better understanding I now wished that I had never strayed from one word of the bible. As age brings reason; I thank God for giving us Jesus.

"Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger." Babes in malice, but men in understanding! Prudent as serpents, but innocent and harmless as doves! Except we humble ourselves; (not just a single action when we remember, but a Spirit-trained and real natural tendency); and become as little children..

This Psalm isn't about man, this psalm is about The Lord Jesus Christ! It is prophetic in nature, It is about the revelation of God to man, through Christ Jesus, for he has declared him! What is man? And the Son of man? These are About Jesus! As said Paul in Heb 2:7, and 2:9, This is Jesus! The Heavens are made wonderfully, but nothing is as wonderful as The Lord!
  • David on Psalms 8 - 7 years ago
David, the apple of God's eye, his place in the pantheon of prophets and Kings who love the Lord of Heaven and earth is secure. He rebuked his wife Mishal when she scorned his wild devotion before the Ark of the Covenant.."I will praise the Lord as it pleases God. He is in the lineage of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, whose Father was God in that she was with no man. She was worthy for she

Psalms 8, is so eloquent as a reminder of the redemption of man at the cross, we have been restored by Our Big brother Lord Jesus. Being a small re-creation of GOD, is priceless. I ask all of you to represent Lord Jesus, is Love, and renounce the barbaric behavior of Satan. Our GOD is spectacular and he wants all of heaven to see his magnificent handy work!

"What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?" Like the way that the verses about God and His greatness and glory surround the mentioning of man; we find ourselves, a being created to be replications of God, standing now at a distance wondering what we are at all. The Word of God in the Scriptures ALONE has the true record of why we are in this case.

When we consider how grand the universe is and how small we are in comparison with it we may be moved to express the words found in verses 3 and 4.

To Amberly on Ps. 8 - about 'reminding yourself not to worry. Our pastor's wife, at the yearly women's retreat, spoke and among other things she brought out that - worry is a lack of faith. That just opened my spiritual eyes and now when worry comes at me - I repeat , "worry is a lack of faith" and over just a very short period of time I have quit worrying. I just give it to God in prayer.

If I did not know God I would be in so much pain, not sure of anything, lost, not able to plan for tomorrow, for today or or just live in peace. God altered my life in such a way that what man use to say would mean everything to me,but now my life is all God! I find ways to get closer I work hard In the community, work hard In my life to change who I am. I often cry because he is so good. Pray for me

When I read these words I am reminded of how much GOD loves me and cares for me and how blessed I am. Just imagine....GOD thinks about me, he considers me. GOD IS INCREDIBLE. My Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST laid down His life for me and, Praise GOD HE had the power to pick it up again. Thank you JESUS.
