Reguard..cherish..once we sin we need to repent and move on this is a two fold situation.1.cherishing.desireing .pursueing.meditating on it.cradleing it.but also once weve made repentence and moved on we need not reguard it but put our guard up against it.some times we repent and move on but later reguard it some more if were truly repentent its not necessary to keep bringing it up..

S Edwards, the psalmist was praising God for His great terrible works in the awesomeness of God 's majestic power. God is All powerful, even opposition submit to Him. I take assurance in the fact that God tries us and in the end show us His glory

I believe our hearts must be clean for the Lord to hear us.So before we make a petition of any kind, we must first ask the Lord to cleanse our heats then our petition will also be worthy presentation to Him.

The Word of God quickens me. This psalm or verse is full of comfort, knowing that God will never leave us or forsake us and that he is always there to hear our prayers is more than anyone can ask. What a God like that?

Dear Mike My heart goes out to you for you have and are being sorely tried Think ofJob who lost everything only because God knew he could prove to Satan that this man s trust in him was real and what did Job say when he was at the end of his tether Though He slay me yet will I trust Him Job13 v 15 and how could he say this He knew that his redeemer was alive Job 19 v 25 see verses 26 27 28 As a believer I have experienced awful tragedies one being death of a daughter and suicidal death of my sister my trials are nothing compared to what my Saviour went through when He bore the wrath of God for me on Calvary s cross All things do work together for good to them that love God Romans 8 v28 We may not see the good down here but believe it for God says it and it is impossible for Him to lie Hebrews 6 v 18 I am so sorry your wife is terminally I ll but Mike remember this if your are both saved by God s grace then down here is not your home You will be united for all eternity in Christ your Redeemer s presence Read John 14 I go to prepare a place for you The Lord bless you

Mike I can t comprehend what you are feeling or fully understand what God is doing in your life I can only tell you how God brought me through my darkest times When I was nine years old and spending a summer vacation at my Grandparents house we received a phone call that changed my life forever My sister had been in a motorcycle accident I spent the whole day sobbing and crying while begging God to let her live or allow me to trade places with her I loved her so very much Later that afternoon the phone rang again telling us she had passed on I was so devastated from those words that I spent the next seven years of my life in a deep dark depression I was afraid someone else in my family might suddenly be taken I was afraid of telephones and the news they could bring at any moment I was afraid of God It was the bleakest time of my life Then one day my dark tunnel finally came to an end A bright beacon at the end of a seven year period of God working on my broken heart Jesus pulled me out of the abyss He was there all along and waiting on me to realize that I could have never taken her place He had already done that long before she had died I didn t see then that God will never burden us with more than we can bare I suddenly understood I was flawed and broken and couldn t see from God s awesome perspective It just took that little boy seven years to understand that he didn t have too Jesus has it for me

I enjoy reading the bible, but I find it hard to believe in a God that has taken both my parents at a young age and now he is taking my wife from me, she has ALS and has 3 to 5 years to live according to the Doctors. How can I worship and love a God that has taken all my family from me? What have I done to earn his wrath and what can I do about it? I prayed constantly when my mom was dying from cancer and it did no good, same with my dad. The pain of watching my wife slowly dying each day is more than I can bear and no amount of praying has lightened the load.

  • Dr. Tom Stanton on Psalms 66 - 11 years ago
As Christians desiring a daily walk with and relationship to Him, we can not and must not allow any known sin to hinder our fellowship with God and with others. We must never believe that God will ignore our own selfish desires and sinful attitudes when we pray. God will not violate His own Divine nature and character to bless us and grant our requests while we continue to harbor anger in our heart.

It a nice thing to praise God, through it we will have many benefit, giving thanks to God. In the book of Acts 16:20-21, when Paul and Silas praise God, God delivered them. In Joshua 6:20, the children of Israel praised God, and the wall of Jericho fell down, we should praise God all the time. GOD BLESS US ALL.

@ Benjamin. You are blessed above most. The scriptures are given to teach, guide, and renew. God requires a broken heart and a contrite spirit. He will only correct those he loves as a father does his son. He who comes last will come first. All fall short of the Glory...you are blessed because he is showing you your sin. The Holy spirit is convicting your heart. God inhibits his Praises. Sing the words of psalms loud. sing songs of thanksgiving. God will come down and change your heart. Its not easy and your flesh will fight against your soirit. God will have the victoru. He is nota man that He would lie.
  • Benjamin on Psalms 66 - 12 years ago
I wish to become a better Christian but struggle with sin. When I read the scriptures they only serve to remind me of the emptyness in my heart and the shrotcomings that have separated me from God.I am lost and do not know where to turn

  • Mary Ann on Psalms 66:18 - 13 years ago
I really like this verse, and on December 24 of 2010 I asked the Lord to remove all the anger that I had in my heart, which has been there for years. When I opened my mouth about that sin the Lord stepped in and removed all the anger from my heart. I can truely say that I HAVE THE VICTORY ON TODAY.
