Discuss Psalms 122

    Hi Rjgil4769.

Genesis 12:2-3 is probably closest and the most popular.

Some try to associate these two verses with the Church along with all the promises and blessings prophesied to Israel. and all the cursings to the Nation Israel.

Antisemitism began in the early Church, as soon as Paul brought the Gospel to the Gentiles.

Some saw the Jews as the Christ killers, even though for this cause he come into the world.

ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD and God blessed him!

God blesses the Nation Israel because he is faithful and remembers the Abrahamic covenant that is associated with the Davidic covenant.

A chosen people and a land here on earth is tied to those promises.

When we bless Israel we enlists ourselves as one who believes God also.

God brought Israel alive from a valley of dry bones and yet some say God is done with Israel.

Here's just a few of many verses similar to the answer of your question.

    Zechariah 2:8-9.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

    Zechariah 12:1-9.

    Zechariah 14:12.

    Psalms 122:6.

The Lord also punished Nations that relished when Israel was being punished by God. Obadiah 1:8-14.

Israel exists today because of promise not faithfulness to God.

They being brought back to the land because of prophetic promises not obedience.

    2 Samuel 7:23-24.

    God bless.

Good day, Amos 5:26 identifies the use of a star with a tabernacle. (not accusing, only identifying what is in the Word) It is most peculiar that the star would have 6 points, 6 sides, and 6 triangles. Most peculiar indeed. When you read of the tribes of Israel in Genesis, did you catch what changed in the book of revelation concerning them? Something is different here and it has to do with a serpent. This may seem brash and way off base but consider this:

America loves tradition and a symbol of our strength and a representation of America is the statue of liberty and the Washington monument. Did you know the Washington monument is 55.5 feet wide and 555 feet tall? This is 666 inches wide and 6660 inches tall and also is the same proportionally to the golden statue of Nebuchadnezzar from the book of Daniel? Hidden right in front of us, the devil's vessels are very skilled at deception and causing others to error.

Certainly not all Jewish peoples are of this sort, only a portion. Again this is laid out in Revelation, those who practice kabbalah are those who worship a snake in a tree. This is what Jesus spoke of replacing in John 3:14. The wicked shall do wickedly but the wise shall understand.

    Respectfully

There is no indication that Israel of Old Testament times used flags. In Numbers 2:1,2 we read: "And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father's house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch", we see the use of Standards/Ensigns, probably with markings denoting a special significance to each of the twelve tribes. As well, the use of a banner where the lead warrior would raise it up while the army comes behind him in readiness to fight, might also be understood.

But the Star of David (Magen David) was first seen as a flag of Israel in 1948, though the Star was accepted as a symbol by various groups, in particular the Zionist Congress in 1897. As well, the Jewish communities of Eastern Europe (in the 19th Century) used the symbol, but it was only official from 1948.

Last night I thought about how Samuel cryed over Saul, & I wondered if that is why Saul kept the power of the kingdom so long? 1Samuel 16:1 1Samuel 15:35, 1Samuel 28:5-20, 1Samuel 31, it was not GOD's Will for Saul to disobey HIM in multiple ways. Saul's kingdom was "ripped" from him, but was it because Samuel wept for him, mourned & sought GOD on Saul's behalf?

I remembered how Moses intercedede for all the Israelites that GOD was going to destroy & they are a nation today. Exodus 32:9-14,

    Psalms 122:6, John 17, Ezekiel 22:23-31, John 14:14, John 16:24,

Hopefully these are helpful too, even though this is on the other spectrum of this discussion, yet fit within question I hope

(vs 26) Even the MYSTERY which hath been HID from the ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

(vs 27) To whom (the saints) God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this MYSTERY among the gentiles; which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory:

(vs 28) Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Revelation 2:26-27 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my (CHRIST IN YOU) works unto the end, to him will I give him power over the nations:

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when ALL (creation) thing shall be subdued unto him (CHRIST), then shall the SON also himself be subject to him (FATHER) that put All (creation) things under him, that God (CHRIST) may be ALL (CHRIST IN YOU) in ALL (CHRIST IN YOU).

Romans 8:19-21 For the earnest expectation of the creature (creation) waiteth for the MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS OF GOD.

(vs 21) Because the creature (creation) itself shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption (the grave) into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

I understand that Jerusalem in that Scripture speaks about the city itself. It's meaning is generally understood to be "Foundation of Peace". Jerusalem has had a long history but in biblical days, it was occupied by the Jebusites until the time of King David who managed to capture the city by stealth (see 2 Samuel chapter 5).

Does the word Jerusalem in Ps.122:6 has a different meaning, which does not reflect the country of Jerusalem directly...?

    Psalms

    Chapter 91

1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

    9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Yes, I ask for prayers to cease the evildoing by my landlord who is forcing me and other tenants into wearing a face mask. I and some other tenants are Christians and this requirement violates our religious believe where God says "We are to appear to him in unveiled faces (2 Corinthians)." Furthermore, we have a medical condition that prevents us from wearing a face mask.

Lastly, prayers for God's help against the unsafe mold and Sick Building Syndrome environment within our apartment complex. I and other tenants have experienced illness and increased breathing problems in relation to this unsafe setting. I have filed complaints with local government; who have failed to address the issue being their is collusion with the property manager. Pray for us to find an attorney who will stand up for justice and expose this illegal as well as life threatening condition. Thank you and God bless you all.

Hi, my name is Gabby, I'm 15 years old, and i currently live near myrtle beach, SC. Today, i would very much appreciate it if you please pray for my father, Charles, because he is very sick in mind, spirit, and physically. Also pray from my Nana because she's getting older and I'm getting worried about her being lonely all the time, but I'm only 15 and i live 3 and a half hours away from her so i cant do anything about it. Pray for my uncle Jonathan; he has diabetes, kidney problems, pancreas problem and a lot of other health issues. my Auntie has liver and kidney failure, so please pray for her. my other uncle, Adam, just got out of prison after being there for 5 years, so please pray that he stays sober now that he's out. Pray for me because i am in foster care and my emotional health isn't in the best shape. Pray for the government. Pray for the people who cant pray for themselves, and finally, pray that i make it out of foster care safe and healthy. Thank you for your time, and i pray that y'all have a blessed Thanksgiving.

PLEASE ALL Christians pray for my understanding of the bible, I have always believed in God our holy Father, however, due to life constant failures within two previous adulterous and cruel abusive marriages, my stolen family childhood due to serious chronic illness And living in loveless children's long term convalescent homes, one being in a silent order of a nunnery from the age of two until I was six; I have always felt unloved, betrayal, worthless, embittered, anger, untrusting and constant self blaming, In every walk of life I have experienced through my 70 years. I have tried so hard to be a good person, honest person, helping others who I often saw less fortunate than my self, especially after going through hard times myself, only to be treated like a door mat and feeling Betrayal and anger. I had stopped believing in Jesus Christ up until recently that is. However, I have always believed in God, and I have really started to pray day and night, asking Jesus to forgive my wrong doings and cleanse my soul, so I ask all you Christians to pray for me and my family, who were not bought up with Christianity, as I felt they should make their own choices, when they became adults. I do find it hard to ease my own conscience from self blame and dislike of myself as a person. Please pray for me. As I am posting this, I feel Satan is blasting my words with profanity of others from those on Parlar, popping up above this page. Please pray for me, my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and my staunch belief in THE FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT. AMEN, PEACE, TRANQUILITY, AND LOVE TO ALL HUMANITY AND GODS ANIMALS, AND OTHER FORMS OF LIFE, HE CREATED.

I humbly request a prayer for my son Thomas on his final Flight exam tomorrow, that he'll be able to pass it with flying colors with the grace of God. He's a good young man, a good Christian and he loves God most of all. I'm sure he's a little nervous right now but I'm hoping with prayers and faith that he'd overcome that and he'll remember everything he studied and learned before the exam. Thank you and I appreciate your assistance in prayer. Sincerely, Marilyn
