  • Lorrie Bensky Smith on Proverbs 8 - 9 years ago
The commentary is helpful, but God and Christ in the "he's, his etc., should be capitalized, as He is ALWAYS a proper noun.
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Word,The Earth was NOT created millions of years ago. Proverbs 8:1-21 tells us that Proverbs 8:22-30 is talking about Jesus. Jesus is from the foundation of the earth. Not "man in the stars" as you claim. Not one verse you gave says man was in the stars. You are adding to God's word. Read Pro.30:6

Shelly, The 1611 King James translation, which took 7 years to translate is the tried Word of God. It may be profitable for you to diligently study Proverbs 1 again and Ecclesiasticus Chapter 30 in the Apocrypha. I pray God you receive His Spirit to the fullest and may He bless you richly in His instruction, His Word! Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Ecclesiastes 8:4 Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou? Proverbs 8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
  • Norm on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 9 years ago
It is written... John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ and shall deceive many. 2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Proverbs 22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. Isaiah 57:1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. Proverbs 10:18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. Matthew 24: 48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Blessed be the name of The Lord for these words: 'Those who offend Christ deceive themselves sin is a wrong to the soul. Sinners die because they will die, which justifies God when he judges'.

Thank you for all the KJV versions, answers, dictionaries, comments. Very enlightening for The Lord 's Bible Study, every Th 2-4pm. Adds to the words written down already, for a clearer understanding for persons in the Bible Study for which several are Spanish speaking, and the others haven 't a clue. May God richly Bless your endeavors....5 27 2015

  • Charles C Dicus III on Proverbs 8 - 9 years ago
I believe that every Christian needs to read Proverbs everyday. One chapter per day every day of the month and when there are less than 31 day in a month you read all remaining chapter the last day of the month. I can say from personal experience it is definitely the Bible book that tells you how to live your life. Our marriage was saved by us reading and sharing Proverbs daily and we have now been doing it for now for 11 years and we could not have a better marriage. God 's word is the answer to all life 's problems, trials and tribulations.

God said wisdom is a better choice than that of gold. Above all things seek wisdom and good health. Trust God and all that we desire will be given unto us. For he says seek he first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Let us seek God in all his wisdom and receive life. God bless us all.
  • Scott on Proverbs 8:17 - 9 years ago
God loves those who diligently seek after Him and He will reward them by giving them the desires of their heart.
  • Michael Oballa on Proverbs 8 - 9 years ago
I am a believer who agrees that once you walk with Christ, then you get wisdom for the rest of your life. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom , in the 21st century we are in, the devil has control the earth and so we need wisdom from God to live a righteous life.
  • RNM 8-25 PROV on Proverbs 8 - 9 years ago
PROV 8-25...God made it clear that to follow and seek after and Love him was to find life, but to sin or act in contrary to God is something that will not stand with our Heavenly Creator. PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME, ABOVE ANY NAME WRITTEN. PRAISE THE LORD GOD AND HIS HOLY SON YESHUA. AMEN!!

Answer to Word 's comment 01 01 2015 10:46 pm The book of Genesis is about the creation, how the earth was formed and how life begun here, its not about rejuvenating, the earth we know now will be perished it will not rejuvenate, because we Christians are waiting for the new earth that comes from God Revelation 21:1 . And you have provided wrong bible verses to support your idea: Isaiah 45: 18 take note the word TO BE INHABITED, meaning no one yet living there when it was created, Proverbs 8:22-31 - it tells about the Wisdom of God its not about the sons of men, verse 31 its not the sons of men rejoicing here, the one rejoicing here is the Wisdom of God Jesus Christ . Job 38:7- it speak about the angels of God, not of the sons of men, please refer to Job 1:6 and Genesis 6:2,4. Rev 12- the stars here relates to Israel, it does not relate to all inhabitants of the earth. Jeremiah 4: 23 to 27 - it 's about the destruction of the land of Israel, its not about creation, please read from the beginning of chapter 4. What ever we do, the earth we know now is heading to destruction 2Peter 3:10, and will be replace with a new one from God Rev 21:1 , thanks be to God who given us hope.

  • R. D. Simpson on Proverbs 8 - 10 years ago
Jesus Christ has always lived, he had no beggining. To say he was made is to say God the Father was made because he possessed him in the beginning of is own way, He was in him and with him possesed by the Father, part of his being makeup. Prov 8 22 The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.23 I was set vp from euerlasting, from the beginning, or euer the earth was.
  • Gin Sancianco on Proverbs 8 - 10 years ago
" " "Wisdom is personified in Jesus Christ. " " " There is wisdom in all of creation before the birth of Jesus Christ in the revolution of every proton around the nucleus as the earth and the other planets around the sun, in the alternation of the night and the day, in the cycles in nature. John 1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ALL THINGS CAME FROM GOD, as His Plan, His Word, His Command. Everyone of us is His Word, every grain of sand nothing comes to being except as He wills. Jesus was His Word, and while the Word remained with God, the Word is God, but when the word WAS MADE FLESH, the Word WAS God. When God said "Let there be light ", those words, that Command, while it remain with God, is God, but NOT when the word became light in whatever form.
