One of the most needed verses of our times is Proverbs 16:24. Encouraging words to others are especially needed in these days which are full of worries.
Proverbs 16:3- Brings out the fact that God is the overall authority. He is the final control in everything so by commiting to Him, is more like trusting Him or acknowledging Him as the final authority . And like the Good Book says when we trust Him we are radiant- we are sure our plans will suceed- we shall not be put to shame.
i love this sight also, and with God all things are possible.to preach the gospel of God, God has encouraged me to make tracks hand designed and hand written. To God be the Glory,For He is Worthy....
I often tell my daughters that verse 18 should be chiseled on my tombstone, as it sums up my life. Often times I think I have accomplished a deed myself and am quite proud of it. This is always followed by a "fall" and I realize I did NOTHING without the help of God
I think that Jeremiah 10:23 is an important verse that reveals the truth that the freewill of man is not a bible based teaching. This verse, along with many others proves that God's sovereign will alone is free and that man's will is subservient to His will. We are responsible to God not because we are free, but because God has decreed to hold us responsible for the actions which He has so decreed that we would perform from all eternity. Proverbs 20:24: Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way? (KJV). Proverbs 16:1, The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD (KJV). Psalms 37:23, The steps of a man are established by the LORD; and He delights in his way (NAS). Proverbs 16:9 9, The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps (NAS) Isaiah 46:10, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure (KJV). Dan 4:35, "And all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, but He does according to His will in the host of heaven and (among) the inhabitants of earth; and no one can ward off His hand or say to Him, 'What hast Thou done?' (NAS). Rom 9:19 19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? (KJV). Genesis 45:7-8, (7) And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. (8) So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt (KJV). Acts 4:27-28 (27) For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, (28) For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done (KJV).
Proverbs 16:6a. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged, having God seen that men was unable to deliver himself from iniquity, He gave us His only son Jesus Christ to purge our iniquities through His pure blood. All that was by God's mercies and truth.
Although we are living in the days that the monarchy is of little use, but the kings of the past can be compared with the president in our days. Even if the earthly justice fails we can trust the justice of the king of kings that never fails.
How much does our attitudes weigh, and our thoughts? We must be conscientious that everything we do will be weighted in the balance of the Lord, lets pray so that our works never be found in fault.
Better is little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice, because great revenues obtained in unrighteous are good for nothing, and they can stand the test of time, to say everything gain in unrighteous for sure will be lost.
The righteous differs in his culture [way of life] because he watches in everything he does. Since every deeds and actions have eternal consequences, which can be death or life. The way he prospers and gets good success is to tread the NARROW paths of WATCHING. He can't do just anything on that road. He must have road sense. If not, he runs into people or they bump at him. He isn't a Jaywalker. He is figuring out how to reach home safely, so the rustle and bustle of road life shouldn't distract him. May the almighty Elohim help us to have spiritual road sense as we run on the way! Amen!
What does the word perfect mean in scripture? But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does.( James 1:25). Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." ( Matthew 19:21) Does the perfect here means something different than the perfect used in 1st Corinthians 13:10? What is the perfect law of liberty? What was Jesus referencing when he told the rich young ruler if thou would be perfect go sell all that you have and come follow me. Could perfect mean complete? I'm just saying! Sometimes we make things more difficult than they should be! My feeling or my opinion is fruitless when it comes to the word of God. Solomon said in Proverbs 16:25 "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." In Matthew 7:24 Jesus said these words "Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock." The Hebrew writer said in Hebrews 5:8-9 Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,
Hear ( Mt 7:24), believe ( Jn 8:24) repent ( Lk 13:3,5) confess ( Acts 8:37) and be baptized for the remission of your sins, ( Acts 2:38, 8:12, acts 22:16)
THERE IS A MIGHTY deceptive enemy out there that knows our weaknesses.,and utilizes them against us ...THIS "enemy" though is only a puppet in JESUS`S master plan...I must keep seeking JESUS in my thought processing(TAKE EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE)TO BE WARY OF THE ENEMIES WEAPONS AGAINST ME,WHICH WONT PROSPER,"in JESUS NAME"..
The words of our mouth, being the venue for applying wisdom flows tru-out Proverbs. Ch 16;vs1- is a prolific word from God, that takes away any boasting of man, in his education, talents, or any works. For as in vs. 1, if we from our heart think right and speak right, they are both from the Lord! Not of us! We only yeild to His preparations of our heart and the answer of our tongue are both of Him.
From here we see in vs.7, " then He makes even our enemies to be at peace with us". And in vs.32 He purges us from impulsive anger- "He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty", And he protects us from the error of zealots, who decree, "Lets take this city for God!" Right here wisdom speaks, " it is better to rule your own spirit than to take a city"! Nothing less than His wisdom will deliver one from this intense hype, of continual "Sowing Seeds" and ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, from such turn away! 2 Tim 3;5&7.
PROVERBS CHAPTER 16: GIVE YOUR PROBLEMS TO THE LORD AND HE WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO WORK THEM OUT. STUDYING THE WORD GOD WILL MAKE YOUR ENEMIES BE AT PEACE WITH YOU. BETTER TO BE OF HUMBLE SPIRIT THAN TO LET A PROUD PERSON HAVE THEIR WAY.THE HEART OF THE WISE TEACH HIMSELF AND TEACH OTHERS. WHEN YOU STUDY THE WORD YOU STUDY FOR YOURSELF BUT YOU WANT TO TELL OTHERS WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED.
