Mathew 6:33 "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all things shall be added unto you and 3 John 1:2 "Beloved I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in good health even as your soul prosoers" are some of the scriptures relating to the True long lasting Prosperity that comes from the Lord Jesus along. Worldly prosperity/richness do not last if there is no God in it. Sad but TRUE

The blessings of God will indeed result I riches. However being rich does not necessarily mean one has the blessings from God. As Christians, we shold be carefull not to fall in the temptation of doing everything we can in order to get riches. The bible says many have fallen into sin because of the love of money. Let the riches be part and parcel of 'seek ye first the kingdom and its righteousness, and all these other things (including riches, health, obedient children, happy marriage, favor etc) shall be added unto you".

The blessings of God maketh rich: I see this scripture on the path of waiting. Waiting on God is ***ociated with much affliction and pressures. It is not easy to wait on God. People are not ready to endure to the end. They tend to help themselves in so many ways other than waiting on God but through all this, when that time is due, it takes only God's own time appointed blessings 2 stand and that makes a man wealthy.
Never forget that every good and perfect gift comes from above.
Apart from blessings, he adds no sorrow. It is self sustaining. Whatever God gives u stands the test of time. It will florish day by day. You will not loose it niether will u regret. His blessings are more greater than our afflictions. It can cause you to forget the shame of your youth.
Let us wait on the right time and forever shall we be happy.

the blessing of the lord can only bestow on somebody who obey and do the will of the lord.one does not need to pray before being blessed by him as some people are doing today. It has a path you have to take, once you miss the road that is all. It is his God's word against your doing. He has never said something and came back without fuilfilment.

I believe it describe every area both spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, the whole man, spirit, soul and body. wherever the need lies, it applies. When we, by faith take a hold of this promise through Jesus Christ, it is awesome.
  • Chloe Bleu on Proverbs 10:10 - 11 years ago
I think this means that people who wink at people they like eitherwant to earn a false trust to manipulate them.....or are after them in a sinful way...which thus will "cause sorrow" in the end.
  • Christopher barnett on Proverbs 10:22 - 11 years ago
Proverts 10:22 is a great verse. It tells of God's blessings in a very complete way. It cannot be inhance by us and there is no strings attached. when God blesses you, He blesses you. In other words "who God bless no man curse"
  • Gbolahan Abiodun on Proverbs 10 - 11 years ago
It is incredibly worthy of note that the blessing of the LORD maketh rich and He adds no sorrow to it. Well, as true as that is, I firmly believe that we must never forget that if we genuinely belong to the things that the Holy Spirit dispenses and administers, we should see ourselves individually as blessings. That is what righteousness demands. As a matter of fact, you cant be a blessing and not know about it. And that also signifies that if we are joint heirs with the Lord, (Im talking about those that have genuinely given their lives to Jesus Christ, for Him to become their Saviour and LORD) then we are also joint blessings- and that simply because of the covenant. I dont know about you, the truth is except you see yourself as the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ- and live in accordance with the commitments of the Holy Writ, your glory wont sing and give adoration unto Him. And that refers to your tongue. There are all manner of things that God, in His eternal loving kindness loves to dispense and administer to us through the Holy Spirit, and that demands humility in order to receive such things. You see, you and I cant have the Most Holy and the Most blessed God for us, and at work upon, and also in us and worry about nothing. And that is because all our needs are already met through Jesus Christ of Nazareth. However, we cant be higher than the level of obedience that we put in place, vis a vis His Kingdom, and also with regards to the challenges of life. In fact what we do daily reveals the type of trust that we put in the triune God. Hence the import of pouring ourselves on the dictates of the Holy Writ. In other words you cant be wiser than your daily humility. And with that self and personal examination becomes necessary. What do these mean? Well, until we clothe ourselves with practical obedience, the struggle continues, and there is nothing that you can do about it. The wisdom of God wont change. Its mind, and hence, as individual God, in His unfathomable blessedness, has issued divine invitations that we as they that crave and hunger after His Word, should live in line with them. And then no matter where we are, that must result in praise, honour, adoration and glory to His holy name. He alone is worthy of praise and adoration.

The blessing of the Lord maketh rich when we decide to trust in Christ and be content, we must have a new mindset, a new thinking process, without grumbling complaining and worrying. Just being free in him, giving him your cares, all trusting him with our daily lives; knowing that we belong to him and he will take care of all our needs and wants. What comes to mind is seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

It's time the children of God come to realization about Gods blessing. It does not end or stop with material things; for it goes beyond materialistic. And the bible says His blessings make us rich, and add no sorrow, believers should beware of this.
  • Greatness on Proverbs 10:19 - 11 years ago
I think it is a profound proverb. Not only it teaches us not to talk too much, but it also teaches us to listen more and be attentive of the voice of God. I think it also applies in prayer, that one should pray and have time to listen to what God is saying. Amen.

It's a powerful word! When God bless you, that blessing bringeth Joy, peace and Comfort, there is no sorrow, pain or struggle in it. It can be your Job, Marriage, physical health or Spiritual life. Anything that comes with sorrow, pain and struggle is not from the Lord God Almighty. And you know where it is from. If you lost your Joy, Peace and comfort in your surroundings, better you leave out of the zone. Because you are in the wrong direction. God Bless you.

This verse tells me that God is in control of my destiny , that when He bless me I am truly blessed for it will not be by the efforts of my hands nor of my mind ,but it will be is Divine intervention by his might and his precious Holy Spirit!!
  • Evangelist Myles on Proverbs 10:22 - 12 years ago
One thing about the blessing of the Lord is you won't have to lie, cheat or steal to be blessed by Him. It comes because we trust and obey Him and then we wait on Him to do just what He says He will do. Blessings come in many different forms, not always materialistically.
  • Zett on Proverbs 10:22 - 12 years ago
I believe what this scripture says to me, is that you will be able to know the difference between Gods blessings versus worldly blessings. He blesses you with more than your natural mind can ever think of. Mentally, physically, spiritually and more abundantly with no struggle or distress behind it.
  • Arlene on Proverbs 10:22 - 12 years ago
The blessings of God enhance and change our lives or situations. The blessings of God bring redemption, freedom and liberty. His blessings bring abundance without strain or hardship. Don't try to take matters in your own hand let God do it just sit back and relax.
  • Timothy Wayne George on Proverbs 10 - 12 years ago
Verse 30, refers to the Kingdom of the Lord, as the righteous shall never be removed, but the wicked shall not inhabit the Earth. Jesus said the meek shall inherit the land. At the end of the age, the Angels shall gather all the wicked from the Earth, and those that do the will of the Father shall abide forever. Meekness is not weakness, but rather is strength under control. The Lord will judge all nations by the way they treated Israel, in the sheep, and goat judgment. All those that helped Israel will be the sheep, and those that plotted to destroy Israel will be the goats. Matt. 5, and Matt. 25 helps to shed light on this event. May the Lord bless you richly my beloved.

God is either to be believed or not. It is either God is telling d truth or not because verse 6 tells us that God's blessing is upon d head of the Just. And verse 22 tells us that Gods blessings makes rich, so something is wrong with poor christians. And the eailier they accept they are unjust, the sooner they can begin to make amend to their ways and life and begin to experience God's riches that follows God's blessings.

When God says His blessings is upon d head of the just, and his blessing makes rich. God meant it. And as such poor christians are unjust because God is no respecter on man, whether a pastor, prophet, church member or mere attender.

When u are just you will recieve God's directions and secrets to make you rich. Arguing with God's assessement of you is an indication of unjustness in your life and heart in d first place. Do you know your person more than God? Or are you more knowledgeable than God?

The earlier we begin to accept 6od's assessment of us and start amending our ways the faster we will experience God's promised riches that His blessings gives.

I pray God increase to us His grace to be submissive and responsive to his words, assessments and instructions. Amen.

It is indeed the Lord's desire and wish for His children to be prosperous. This scripture is loaded with meaning, for me it says that when the Lord blesses me, it is not only material wealth, it is spiritual, it is physical and emotional health that He also blesses me with so that I can enjoy His blessings and not endure hence the last part of the scripture, "it addeth no sorrow with it (KJV).
