Dear Savanna B, the key to your peace is to trust Him. He said it best in His Word.

Ps. 56:3 "What time I am afraid, I will trust in You."

Deuteronomy 31:6, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

Romans 8:37-39 "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

And remember, it says in Philippians 4:13, you "...can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth..." you.

    God bless and keep you!

Dear Gloria Solomon, if you are a born again believer, you cannot be possessed by a demon because in 1 John 4:4 it says, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

You can however be influenced by the devil who will try anything to separate you from God, including evil thoughts and images of things you shouldn't have been looking at or reading. My advice to you is to stay away from those things and play that God will help you to do as this verse commands, Philippians 2:5 "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:" You can do this by drawing close to God in constant prayer, reading and studying His Word. James 4:8 "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded."

And remember always, Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

    God bless and keep you!

Dear Stacy, Stopping your addiction is as simple as this: Philippians 4:13 |I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Bury yourself in Him, reading and studying and meditating on the Word, praying without ceasing, following His commandments. Take up your cross and say no to your addiction.

God bless and keep you and give you peace.

If you're responding to News. Please stop watching news sources. Focus on the Good news, written within scripture: Psalms 37, Galatians 5:16,17,

If you would 1st please consider the way it makes you feel. As you stated "horrified" that's not of GOD. Galatians 5:22-25,

2nd please consider all around you. Is there peace, is there light, anything to be thankful for? Is searching out news also symbolic of wanting to "know" what's happening in the news" Genesis 2:17, Romans 16:19,

3rd consider why there's only bad, horrible, divisive news? Hebrews 6:8, Proverbs 22:5, Why do they report the one horrible thing or person & not the million good? Is it meant to trigger rage? Hebrews 12:1, Luke 6:43-45,

    1John 2:16, Titus 1:15, 2Samuel 22:27, Psalms 18:26, 1John 3:3, 2Peter 3, James 3:17, James 1:27, Philippians 4:8, Romans 8,

    1Corinthians 4:5,

The Word also says: Numbers 11:12, Jude 1,

Hopefully these are helpful & encouraging

    Rosalia,

Paul says in Philippians 4:13, " I can do all things in Christ who is empowering me."

    That's the literal translation.

The first line that says I can do all things, he says I have sufficient inherent strength already in me in Christ. I have sufficient inherent strength. The power of God lives in me.

I can do all things in Christ, not through, but in Christ. And then describing Christ: who is the one who is empowering me, showing that God's power is continuing to produce His power and strength in me.

I like that first line. I like how it says that I have sufficient inherent strength to do all things.

Paul said in 2 Corinthians Chapter 12 when he prayed about the thorn in his flesh, his health problem, that God would heal and take away, God said to him my grace is sufficient for you.

He doesn't have to take anything away. He doesn't have to change a thing. His grace is sufficient. And He is continually empowering me to do all things, to go hungry or to be full, to be made low or to abound.

Dear God, your word says that you will supply all of John's needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus ( Philippians 4:19). I believe what you said. Your word does not return back void ( Isaiah 55:11), so if your word says it, you will do it.

God, if you care enough to know the number of hairs on our heads ( Luke 12:7), then you care for our finances too. So Lord, according to your word, give us our daily bread ( Matthew 6:11). Provide the financial resources to meet our earthly needs.

I thank you that the righteous are never forsaken, nor do their children beg for bread ( Psalm 37:25). You will not let us lack or go hungry. I thank you that every need is met and that there is no need among us ( Acts 4:34). You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides ( Genesis 22:14).

The prayers of a righteous man, availeth much. I ask in Jesus Name that You will provide for all of Johns needs throughout this crisis. Allow him to fellowship here until YOU return to Earth.

John, let your Church know you need to keep your phone. Target Stores have cheaper cell phones, which if you are a member of AARP, you get a discount with the service. Cricket which is of ATT, but is less expensive; why not Google them. Ask God for favor.

I love you in Jesus, Streetpreacher

    Hi Phil,

I want to encourage you to go to Intouch Ministries online. The information below was from a daily devotion. They have many great things for you to watch or read that will help you with the issues you described in your post.

    God Bless you.

    Philippians 4:4-9

We live in a culture inundated with anxiety and fear, where people make a habit of worrying because it provides a false sense of control. But Christians don't have to give in to these feelings, as we have a Savior who has promised us His peace, "which surpasses all comprehension" ( Phil. 4:7). Thankfully, there are a couple of practices we can employ to guard against worry.

First, we must be careful about what we allow to fill our mind-listening to the many purveyors of doom and gloom can easily lead to fear, anxiety, or panic. If you become agitated after hearing the news, listening to podcasts, or reading social media, it's time to take a break. Instead, do what Paul encourages in today's passage: Think about whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, commendable, and praiseworthy ( Phil. 4:8).

Another source of worry is materialism. The more we have, the more we fret about what might happen to our possessions and financial security. But Jesus warned against storing up treasure on earth ( Matthew 6:19-20). Instead, we should seek first God's kingdom and righteousness and trust Him to provide for our needs ( Matthew 6:33). If we'll put Him first, worry won't gain a foothold in our lives.

    My Sister in Christ Sea:

Thank you for your kind response.

"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." 1 Corinthians 1:10 KJV

"Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye." 1 Corinthians 16:1 KJV

The WORD OF GOD is so powerful that speaks to everyone that believes.

    Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

    Philippians 4:9

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

    Romans 15:13

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

I love to know you as a daughter of God and a Saint here on earth.

I pray for all saints. Our encouragement to one another makes us stronger here on earth while waiting to see Jesus Christ in the clouds.

Read these. Note these verses on the back page of your Bible. It's ok to write in it.

    2 Corinthians 12:10

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

    2 Corinthians 13:9

For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

    Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Comment: The only way to get strong is to rely on Jesus and the Bible. He is THE WORD OF GOD.

Mankind's knowledge can only go just so far. FAITH in Jesus can build you up on the inside.

It only works properly when you ask Him to come and be Your Savior. Read all of John chapter 3. When Jesus is talking about the wind, he is speaking of The indwelling of the Holy Spirit inside of you; in your heart. He teaches you what scripture means.

There is a link on the red entrance page BECOME A BELIEVER, that will walk you through the steps to Salvation, and Receiving the Holy Spirit. It helps you know what to expect.

It will grow your Faith. Jesus doesn't fail us. We__fail us. Everyone comes to the Lord the same way. We learn it by feeding on what we learn by reading the Bible, every day.

I used to read my Bible at lunch and eat the lunch I made. My body was nourished on the food; and my soul and spirit were fed by reading the Bible.

I promise that you'll get stronger every day. Think about attending church services. One that teaches Bible; not psychology. Come back here for fellowship, often.

What a great chapter written by our Apostle Paul.

    Philippians 4:9

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Romans 5 is a perfect chapter to tell you the free gift I received in 11/11/21. The grace of God and the gift by grace made me open my eyes to a lot of precious things important to God for God's glory.

Talking and praying to God. Reading the Bible like my life depends on His words day and night.

I hope one can relate. I counted and mentioned each name of my family member. My son, His wife, their children. I know immediately figuratively I need to build an ark. I do not ask God why, but I just do what God tells me. Spiritually, I seem to know God is talking to me. So I started to pray and gave warning to some of my siblings both my husband's and my side. The total of them is 60 souls. I also have extended my warning to most friends. I cannot count.

Here's the amazing part I know that God revealed to me. I can give warning that Christ is coming soon to all people that touches my life and help them how to be saved or I prepare my own family of nine to prepare the coming of Christ. There is something profound about this single task. So I decided to make sure I know I am the sole responsible for the emotional and spiritual heath of my family. I own the responsibility to remind them that God wants us to be holy. That Apostle Paul have written the book of Romans to the book of Philemon to tell us about our only hope and Saviour Jesus Christ. He also told us how to prepare and be saved for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. While yet waiting, the Apostle Paul and other apostles have written superfluous informative epistles on how to behave in these last days of preparations. More importantly, God gave us enough examples of what to do and not to do from the entire KJV Bible, Old and New Testament throughout the history of men. What a great free gift! Peace.

Hello Bro. Dan. I was sorry to learn that your comment was removed, as I was planning a lengthy response to it. Even till my present comment, I don't see it re-instated, so I will just make one brief comment on one point that you raised, that of the time of the rising of this 'Pre-Tribulation Rapture' teaching. I believe you quoted that this began to occur around the 1830s with J.N. Darby, E. Irving, et al bringing this to the fore, when prior to this, neither the apostles, nor the early Church believed in it. Please correct me if I've not accurately remembered your comment on this.

Not raising the matters of the apostles or the understanding by the early Church at this juncture, since that is the era & its beliefs that are in question, I would raise the afore-mentioned point of whether this teaching of the 'rapture' was evident in the post-apostolic era. I will just share a few names, that you no doubt will be familiar with, but will also state that I don't subscribe to everything they believe, nor the quality of their Christian experience. I only bring up their names because of that early period of their life & their belief on this subject.

Though there were both pre- and post-tribulation positions held in those days, these men named here held the pre-trib position: Polycarp (1st Century AD, & disciple to the Apostle John); Clement of Rome (1st Century AD & possibly the same as the one in Philippians 4:3); Ignatius of Antioch (2nd Century AD); Irenaeus (2nd Century AD, & disciple of Polycarp); Victorinus of Petrovium (3rd Century AD); and others, particularly various writings specific to or alluding to a pre-tribulation rapture. I share these few names simply to refute the belief that this teaching is something new from the 19th Century AD, rather, a belief that existed since the early Church. Though no doubt, other beliefs on eschatology were varied & rampant. Yet, it's only to God's Word we appeal.

    Luke,

I strongly disagree with you saying that Paul is telling the saved believers that they are going to heaven "no matter what". Paul is not saying this.

In the verse that you listed: Philippians 4:3 "And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life."

If it is as you say Paul and his fellow laborer's are destined for heaven no matter what - why are they laboring so hard? I'll tell you why they are laboring, they are struggling with everyday life, to live as sin free as possible and follow in Christs footsteps to assure that they actually do achieve the prize - Heaven!

If it is as you are relating here that all Christian's that believe that their name is in the book of life are going to heaven - no matter what - this is false doctrine, and for anyone to believe this, they we would have to ignore the entire gospel of Jesus Christ.

    Matthew 22:14

"For many are called, but few are chosen."

    Luke 13:24

"Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able."

    Matthew 7:14

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

    Matthew 5:20

"For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."

There are no free tickets to heaven, and it's never too late to change, read Jesus Christs Gospel found in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and Believe!

    Good Bless.

Lambs book of Life, when one gets saved, they are now born again. One of the many, many, many, things that happens is that your name gets written in the book of life.

Paul is telling the saved believers, in Philippians 4:3, fellow laborers whose names are written in the book of life. Your destined to Heaven no matter what. Glory to God, amen.

    1 John 5:16

There are different degrees of sin, but all sin still needs covered by the blood. For without the shedding of (His Blood) there is no forgiveness of sin.

Sins of the flesh are greater than sins of the body for the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. If you are married, would your spouse be more forgiving if you look at another person in lust or if you actually committed adultery.

Either way the point is that sin leads to darkness and blind's a person vision. For the unbeliever sin can separate you from receiving God's forgiveness for God shall not always strive with man.

Shrek said it best to donkey. People are like onions, they have layers (of darkness). Only the Word (Christ) can penetrate thru the layers - nothing else. John 8:36 - If He sets you free - you are free indeed.

For the believer nothing even sin shall separate you from the love of God in Christ, no powers in this age or the age to come. But a person will have many troubles if they magnify sin over the magnification of God. Philippians 4:5

Do not be overcome with the things of this world be overcome with Christ! His mercy, His grace are endless. Be strong in the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let us be conscious and deliberate in what we are pursuing! We are called to be Savior conscious! Be blessed!

Praise God and to Him be the Glory!

VERSES ON MODERATION. Jesus practiced moderation.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 - To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

1 Corinthians 6:12 - All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of [excesses of anything]

    Ephesians 5:18 - And be not drunk with wine, wherein is EXCESS; but be filled with the Spirit;

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1 Peter 5:8 - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: [over consumption=poor health]

    1 Timothy 4:2-5 - Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Philippians 4:5 - Let your MODERATION be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Proverbs 20:1 - Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

1 Timothy 5:23 - Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. (This was a stomach remedy; not a reason to party.)

    1 Timothy 3:8 - Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;

Comment: anger creates cortisol in the blood, and it kills people.

Almost everyone knows these things. The only way I've found to fight back, is to not even bring stuff into the house. God created everything to give us life and health.

I drink water until my brain sends the signal I am "full". It turns off that screaming. Try it.
