John 20.29 This particular verse reaffirms the belief that Blessed are those who believe in an unseen God.
Lord does not mean God. If Thomas said that to Jesus in the previous verse, it should be taken in metaphorical sense and not actual. I cannot accept Jesus as Son of God nor God for the following reason .1. Matthew 24:36
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the Son, but the Father only.
Here Jesus makes a distinction between what he knows and what the Father knows.
2. Matthew 26:39
My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me, yet not as I will, but as Thou will.
Jesus' will is likewise autonomous from God's Will. Jesus is seeking acquiescence to God's will.
3. John 5:26
For as the Father has life in Himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.
Jesus received his life from God. God received his life from no one. He is eternally self-existent.
4. John 5:30
By myself, I can do nothing: I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who has sent me.
Jesus says, "by myself, I can do nothing." This indicates that Jesus is relying upon his own relationship with God. He is not trying to "please myself" but rather is seeking to "please the one who sent me."
5. John 5:19
The Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees the Father doing, because whatever the Father does, the Son does also.
Jesus declares that he is following a pattern laid down by God. He is expressing obedience to God.
7. John 14:28
The Father is greater than I.
This is another strong statement that makes a distinction between Jesus and God.
8. Matthew 6:9
Our Father, which art in Heaven.
He didn't pray, Our Father, which art standing right here!"
Keep your eyes on GOD our LORD & Savior! : Philippians 4:4, Philippians 4:6-8, Deuteronomy 11:18, (not anything else) Proverbs 3:13-26,
Proverbs 4:18-27, Deuteronomy 4:4-9, Joshua 22:5,
1Peter 1:6-25,
Matthew 13:15-43, Nahum 1:3-15, Jude 1:20-25,
Trust GOD!
Lake Mead has dried maybe to expose the evils & cleanse it. Many have prayed for years for truth exposure & crimes solved. Didn't you know there are springs of water all around that area, even going into Death Valley? & a natural underground water Basin, that flows into parts of California. Trust GOD as we see HIM work out HIS mighty will. Stop looking to anything else as your sources. Also there are several methods of cleaning sea water into drinking water, even used in Space for Astronaut survival. Huntington Beach California wanted to implement during 2016-2018, but illegal immigrant votes in the area stopped the process with petition. Many also continued to waste water, disregarding most laws, opened my eyes to what "lawlessness" is. And lawless men & women in high positions, protecting their lawlessness. GOD is Faithful 1Thessalonians 5:15-24, pray & let GOD have HIS way, trust GOD for righteous discipline, HIS Justice, HIS righteous judgement & HIS faithful provisions. Romans 12:17-21, Psalms 78:20, Psalms 147:9, Matthew 6:8,9,10,11,12,13, for they know not what they do & that they trouble their own souls: Proverbs 11:17-19,
It seems you have scripture references that are adequate to explain Satan's authority along with God's rulership but I thought I would help to put the pieces together somewhat. When we look at the "bad fruit" that literally was offered to Adam and Eve in the garden; and the tares which result from those who remain enemies of God we see the results from man's original sin. We must always remember that Satan ( Isaiah 14; Ezekiel 28) fell from heaven and hence sin began with his rebellion. He was already given certain attributes and leadership capability through the origin of God's design during his creation. Ultimately; God's redemption plan was set from the beginning and would commence at man's fall. Since then; the misery of man's own fallen nature exacerbated by Satan's influence on the mind; emotions and souls of people would undoubtably reinforce their hopeless state to drive them to the cross; if called and chosen. Perhaps no one would come to Christ if suffering hadn't resulted from the fall.
Since Lucifer from his inception had musical skills inherent in his makeup; and undoubtably had a high position of authority and leadership in that realm; he was given for those who would seek for those who would seek worldly aspirations over God. The verse Matthew 6:5 shows those who "have their reward" in this life as a result of pride who no doubt are inspired by Satan's self made mindset in empty religious rituals.
Man has to acknowledge not just that they are sinners but they are following "their father the devil." ( John 8:44-45). We are all slaves to the god of this world ( 2 Cor. 4:4) prior to regeneration. The end times in Revelation merely bring to the visible realm and to the forefront what already has been happening to influence man since the fall.
Clearly the world governments; all religions apart from the true faith INCLUDING and especially those with false Christs are part of this godless kingdom.
Some preach fasting as a command because Jesus said "when, thou fastest" Matthew 6:16-21,
Sometimes people & Church congregations fast for closeness with GOD, to feel HIS presence, & clarity on direction from GOD: Matthew 9:15, Mark 2:19,20, Luke 5:34,35, Ezra 8:21,23, Nehemiah 1:4, Nehemiah 1, (in context.), Daniel 9:2-3, 2Corinthians 6:4,5
Fasting & prayer to help deliver people from sin, addiction, mental illness, demonic oppression, Matthew 17:21, (context) Matthew 17:14-21, Mark 9:17-29,
1Samuel 7:3
1Corinthians 7:3-5,
Fasting for deliverance: 2Chronicles 20:1-30, Esther 4:3,16, in context: Esther 3:8-15, - Esther 4, Daniel 6:12-23, Joel 1:14, Joel 2:12,
Fasting in repentance, sometimes even after GOD's judgement : 1Samuel 7:2-17, 2Samuel 12:7-23, (do you think it was easier to except it because he was fasting? While others were perplexed?) 1Kings 21, note 1Kings 21:27-29, Jonah 3:5-10, Joel 2:15,
Also Isaiah 58,
Jesus fasted an extreme fast: Matthew 4:2,
When it says in: Matthew 10:8, Luke 10:9, Mark 16:17-18, can we do these things without fasting?
I believe there are too many scriptures about power in fasting, direction, deliverance & repentance to think lightly of.
Fasting is submission, Romans 13:7, Luke 20:25, Matthew 17:25-26,
Matthew 6:5-34, Matthew 7:7-27, Matthew 10:29-33, John 14:11-28, John 15, note John 15:16, John 16:23,24,26,27,
Honestly, I've had answered prayer in very immediate dangerous situations, just crying "GOD, help me" possibly even just "GOD" it's possibly because GOD knows if we love Jesus. Romans 8:27,
Please Lord I ask in Jesus Name the prayer request for Sarah's sister and her children be blessed with prosperity, peace, spiritual enlightenment as they have suffer from a brokenness of family. Please Holy Spirit guide them in scripture that they will find comfort and peace I prayer.
Please consider suggesting this scriptures for them to read and prayer through: 1 Chronicles 4:10, Psalms 91, Isaiah 41: 10-13, Proverbs 16: 2-4, Matthew 6:33-34, John 16:33, Philippians 4:12-13.
Here is what I have learned about Matthew 6:22. Matthew 6:19-23 have to be taken together to get the context of what it is saying in Verse 22. This section of scripture has to do with the correct understanding of wealth. Please keep in mind that Jesus is speaking to the Jews, the Hebrew people. He tells them in Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." The Jews used to have a phrase, "Wherever you are at all times is where you treasure is, and that is where your heart is going to be."
In Matthew 6:22-23, Jesus talks about the eye. He said the light of the body is the eye: and therefore if your eye is single, the whole body is full of light. But if the eye is evil, the whole body shall be full of darkness. Therefore if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness.
What in the world is He talking about? Well, a Jewish person would have understood this. Here's what that means from a Hebrew standpoint: First of all the word "single" has to do with focus, for the good eye is a generous person. The bad eye is a stingy person (in the eyes of the Jews).
So if you have a good eye, and you are generous, then your focus is right. If you have a bad or corrupt eye, you are stingy and your focus is in the wrong place. That's how the Jews would have understood this.
I've understood it as watching dark things, allowing unholy images inside, instead turn away. Matthew 6:22-23,
Mark 9:47, Matthew 18:9, Luke 11:34-36, also seems to emphasise purity in what we see, choices. Mark 7:20-23, Matthew 20:15, it's used as harsh judgement, possibly seeing through judgemental eyes. Also Luke 6:42,
Please God hear and help Deb in the employment that You have given her. Please Holy Spirit continually guide her in her attitude, actions and words as she interacts with those she works with daily I ask in Jesus name!!
Please considering reflecting on Matthew 6:33, Joshua 24:15, Psalms 55:22-23, John 16:33.
PRAYER FOR FINANCIAL HELP AND STABILITY - In Reply - 2 years ago
Dear God, your word says that you will supply all of John's needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus ( Philippians 4:19). I believe what you said. Your word does not return back void ( Isaiah 55:11), so if your word says it, you will do it.
God, if you care enough to know the number of hairs on our heads ( Luke 12:7), then you care for our finances too. So Lord, according to your word, give us our daily bread ( Matthew 6:11). Provide the financial resources to meet our earthly needs.
I thank you that the righteous are never forsaken, nor do their children beg for bread ( Psalm 37:25). You will not let us lack or go hungry. I thank you that every need is met and that there is no need among us ( Acts 4:34). You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides ( Genesis 22:14).
The prayers of a righteous man, availeth much. I ask in Jesus Name that You will provide for all of Johns needs throughout this crisis. Allow him to fellowship here until YOU return to Earth.
John, let your Church know you need to keep your phone. Target Stores have cheaper cell phones, which if you are a member of AARP, you get a discount with the service. Cricket which is of ATT, but is less expensive; why not Google them. Ask God for favor.
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Colossians 3:8 - But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.thee.
Matthew 6:24 - No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and money.

Philippians 4:4-9
We live in a culture inundated with anxiety and fear, where people make a habit of worrying because it provides a false sense of control. But Christians don't have to give in to these feelings, as we have a Savior who has promised us His peace, "which surpasses all comprehension" ( Phil. 4:7). Thankfully, there are a couple of practices we can employ to guard against worry.
First, we must be careful about what we allow to fill our mind-listening to the many purveyors of doom and gloom can easily lead to fear, anxiety, or panic. If you become agitated after hearing the news, listening to podcasts, or reading social media, it's time to take a break. Instead, do what Paul encourages in today's passage: Think about whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, commendable, and praiseworthy ( Phil. 4:8).
Another source of worry is materialism. The more we have, the more we fret about what might happen to our possessions and financial security. But Jesus warned against storing up treasure on earth ( Matthew 6:19-20). Instead, we should seek first God's kingdom and righteousness and trust Him to provide for our needs ( Matthew 6:33). If we'll put Him first, worry won't gain a foothold in our lives.
Dear all of you in Jesus Christ, and other interested parties. May you all be saved as one :)
I came across a few words last night but did not note who wrote them unfortunately. Just to prove it to myself and others who may not yet see this. Do i have to get a little personal.
Jumped out of bed last night with the worst leg cramp i've ever had. All the way from the hip down to the foot. The leg was completely twisted and the foot protruded to the left. And the back of the thigh exploded so badly that i thought now the knee goes in two. It lasted for 10-15 minutes, i was speechless and began to cry from the pain this caused.
Finally i cried out: - Jesus all we have comes from You! Thank You Jesus.
Remember that we are spiritual beings no longer in our own body. Galatians 2:20 Jesus Is there all things belong to Him, who will have the honor forever.
Then in the morning i open the Bible and look in Acts 19:11-20 It reminded me of the words yesterday. Everything that happens, whether it is evil or good, is to the Glory of God. He lets no one get anything they should have said/done/ if He dont want us to have a good time, we dont get it! He teaches us that we are toddlers sometimes. We become answer guilty, and maybe we get confused for a while because we want it to be the way we think. That is:
The Lord always has the last word. The sooner we realize and admit it, the better we will get. So when we experience trials as in this case, because it happened when i understood that everything is from the Lord. My home flew through my head tonight, in that sense too. Troubles me night and day. Just like the cramps that come daily if i am not careful to save myself. I disagree with my self and want it the way i want. Therefore, this does not escape me, because I must admit that the Lord has and will always have the last word! Matthew 6:34 Does it not? Its solved now. Thank you for your attention, stay blessed in Jesus' name.
Dear friend Giannis What a pleasure and get to join the KJV website, and all the ppl here on the web. Posting Words that pop up in the root of the heart and the head. Let's share the living water! Always in peace and joy.
Between slopes and rocks between the sea. Where the sea and the sun merge every night in the summer. In the land of the Midnight Sun. With a short summer where it can still be long. It depends on whether you go out into the fields and have warm clothes on. : D
Sons of GOD : Genesis 6:2, Job 1:6, Job 2:1, Job 38:7, Revelation 12:10, John 1:12 "But as many as receive him, to them gave he power to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on his name:"
Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of GOD, they are the sons of GOD."
Philippians 2:15 "That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of GOD, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world."
1John 3:1 "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of GOD: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not."
Matthew 5:16, Luke 8:19, Matthew 23:9, John 20:17, John 4:23, John 16:28, Matthew 6:7-34 did you notice how many times GOD is referenced as "our, your Father " in that portion of chapter 6? Matthew 7:11,
The Bible has been clear since a child being told learn the prayers as Jesus said, Psalms 23, Matthew 6:9-13. We are too suffer to turn to love God and follow his Son and live righteously and follow the 10 Commandments. (Leaving God for your own way does not work.) The Word comes alive and the Holy Spirit leads into all truth. Yes the Rapture will come 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a twinkling of an eye the trumpet will sound and the dead will rise and we are changed (we being His). The Holy Spirit came and we are freely offered to be one with the Lord. Matthew 24:27 For as lightning coming out of the east, and shineth even unto the west, so shall the coming of the Son of man be.
Why would Jesus followers and worshippers of God be left to suffer in tribulation when we are already changed. My guess is without insult is the Rapture non believers need to study more. The more I dug in with reading the Bible, praying on knees and going to church the more I heard the voice of the Lord. As a child I noticed after memorizing the prayers I heard His voice and he put on me to believe every word of the Bible. I knew never ever argue with the Bible, the Spirit fed me that always. You have to believe to feel or hear the Spirit confirm. The Bible comes alive when you know who you belong too. The Spirit has never once pointed out do not believe this verse. God is love and he wants you to love him, honor him, obey him. He wants to save you and he wants you to be ready for Jesus coming for his very own, we will meet the dead and the Lord in the air, 1 Thess4:17. Then when Jesus returns to wage war we will be with him. When you know God you know his promises to never leave you nor forsake you. When heaven opens and the Lamb of God comes to wage war, he will accompanied by his called and chosen and faithful ones, Revelation 17:14. Any doubt in your mind then work on being called and chosen and being a faithful one. Do right in His sight and believe. GBY
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Are you born again by the Spirit of God? If not - believe the Gospel, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for your/our sins! HalleluJAH!
If you are born again - cast this care on the Lord. Get busy seeking a relationship with Jesus in your personal life and fulfill those things that He has for you to do; as God is first in your life...not just to 'get something' from Him, but because you fear Him, love Him, and want to honor Him - He really does supply the needs.
"I am the Lord your God, you shall have NO other gods before Me." He must be number one in our lives. The Lord deserves to be number one in our lives! Amen!!
Matthew 6:9-13 gives us the principles of prayer. This is known as the "Lord's Prayer" theologically, but in reality it is called the Disciples Prayer because Jesus is teaching the disciples to pray. The real Lord's Prayer is found in John Chapter 17 where Jesus prayed in intercession for His people to the Father. That is the real Lord's Prayer. It is His prayer. This is the prayer for the Disciples in Matthew Chapter 6.
There is another version in Luke Chapter 11 Verses 2 through 4, but it is a different presentation from what we have here in Matthew. In Luke there are no Hebraisms because Luke's Gospel was written to the Gentiles.
For instance the first one is "Our Father, which art in heaven." Luke, even in the oldest manuscripts, it is just "Our Father." There is no phrase, in heaven.
So basically Jesus again taught the same principles, but one in Jewish form and one in Greek form. And so you can see that it was not used as a formula for reciting, where everybody gets up and we say the same prayer all the time every week. It is not a formula prayer! But there are principles that Jesus laid down to teach us. He says, you want to know how to pray? Here is what you do.
Hello Errol. The Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 11:20-34, lays out the problem evident in that Church. As was the practise in the early Church, they enjoyed fellowship with one another & very likely over a meal. And during that meal, a brother would then speak up, laying aside a special moment to bring to mind the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ, using the emblems that formed part of that meal.
What was happening in this Church, was that when they came together, many of them came with the intent of gorging themselves with food. So two problems were occurring here: when others came to receive their food there was little or nothing left for them, showing their thoughtlessness. These same people also showed little regard for the reason of coming together; not just for Christian fellowship but to consider the worth of their salvation through the partaking of the emblems. This meant that there should be no frivolous talk & jesting but a sombre air pervading, as this time involved contemplation, giving of thanks & praise for 'so great salvation'. Yet, this mattered little to some - food was the great attraction.
Today, we may not have a similar scenario to that of the early Church, as we receive only a morsel of bread & drink from the cup, in memory of Jesus' Death. But it remains that some would come & partake not giving due consideration for that occasion. The Lord dealt heavily & speedily with those erring ones & one can only wonder whether a similar judgement isn't also meted out today. Some today believe that these verses show that unbelievers shouldn't partake at the Lord's Table. Yet, I see that it is the Church that is spoken of, where the unsaved wouldn't normally gather. So to be 'worthy', one would need to come to the Table with their hearts & minds properly focussed on the worth of the special occasion, & not flippantly, careless in sin, or distracted by anything else. The call is for introspection (examine oneself), so that we will not be examined by the Lord.
Luke 17:21 ....Behold, the kingdom of God is WITHIN YOU.
Colossians 1:27 ....this mystery ......Christ in you .....
1 John 5:11 This is the record, that God hath GIVEN TO US ETERNAL LIFE, and THIS LIFE is his SON (the Holy Ghost).
Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD (Christ in you, eternal LIFE) that WORKETH IN YOU (you are his body and he is the LIFE, not you, him) both TO WILL and TO DO his (the LIFE's) good pleasure.
John 14:6 ....I am truth and life ....
Christ himself, in the form of the Holy Ghost, THE SEED of God, is the Life in YOU, causing you HIS BODY to Do his good pleasure.
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God (truth and life) doth not commit sin, for HIS SEED remaineth in him (you, his body), and he (you, his body) cannot sin, because he (you, his body) is born of God.
Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come (it's HERE, Christ in you), thy will be done.
Peace has arrived.
Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit (Christ's LIFE) in you, and CAUSE you (my body) to walk in my statutes, and to keep my commandments and DO THEM.
Hebrews 4:10 For he (the body of Christ) that has entered into MY REST (God's Kingdom, Christ's Life)) has CEASED from his OWN WORKS .....
The comparision statements make clear the very real literal place of hell; and therefore nothing in this life is worth holding onto that will send us there. We need first of all to understand that God formed man perfect in all his ways; but our sin nature and outward sins come from the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Those things which enter the mind therefore would constitute the eye; and the hand all things which we take action on in order to gratify the sin nature. Job was able to restrain the sin of lust by a covenant with his eyes as it were not to look at a woman with lust apart from his wife. We also need to consider the paralytic who Christ healed after many years of suffering; he was told to sin no more lest something worse happened to him which no doubt would indicate physical; and subsequent spiritual death. He didn't have functioning body parts; nonetheless whatever sin caused the state in his particular instance perpetuated through his sinful soul; mind and heart.
In another sense; we are not supposed to not let our left hand know what our right hand is doing ( Matthew 6:3). Just as we are to have open hands; not closed fists when it comes to our possessions; our body is the Temple of the Lord in a sense; and we are to submit our members to His Lordship ( Romans 6:13 loosely translated). We were bought with a price; not of our own.
Nonetheless; true repentance although given by God who puts the desire in our heart to turn to serving and worshipping Him; our part is to die to self. This separates the true believer from those who are not producing fruit but for a time part of the church (as a useless member of the vine). So; mortifying the deeds of the flesh involves a continuing sanctification process which starts at the day of our salvation; and is continued until our death or the rapture. Even saved people grow at different rates; and are subject to falling into sin. He chastises all He loves ( Heb. 12:6); but not the goats.
Just look at: Luke 1, Genesis 17, Genesis 21:1-7,
Lord does not mean God. If Thomas said that to Jesus in the previous verse, it should be taken in metaphorical sense and not actual. I cannot accept Jesus as Son of God nor God for the following reason .1. Matthew 24:36

7. John 14:28
The Father is greater than I.
This is another strong statement that makes a distinction between Jesus and God.

Fasting is submission, Romans 13:7, Luke 20:25, Matthew 17:25-26,
Hopefully these are helpful
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Also see Matthew 6:9-13 on how Jesus prayed.
I start of a prayer by addressing our Heavenly Father, Dear God, ...
And ending off, In Jesus' name (our mediator)
Honestly, I've had answered prayer in very immediate dangerous situations, just crying "GOD, help me" possibly even just "GOD" it's possibly because GOD knows if we love Jesus. Romans 8:27,
Hopefully these are helpful
However wisdom may teach us not to stay around it. Matthew 10:23, Matthew 2:13-16,

Also Luke 6:42,
Hope this is helpful
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Memorize this scripture. Spirits are illegal and you can make them go into outer darkness in Jesus name.
Can you share with us what's troubling you? I'm sure there's someone that can help.
God bless you.
Please considering reflecting on Matthew 6:33, Joshua 24:15, Psalms 55:22-23, John 16:33.
I love you in Jesus, Streetpreacher
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Between slopes and rocks between the sea. Where the sea and the sun merge every night in the summer. In the land of the Midnight Sun. With a short summer where it can still be long. It depends on whether you go out into the fields and have warm clothes on. : D

Matthew 7:11,
Mark 3:33-35,
1John 3, Romans 8:29,
Contrast = John 8:41-47, 1John 2:23, Matthew 3:9
Hopefully these are all helpful in your study
GBY
Matthew 6:33 tells us:
Amen!!
Grace to you, in Jesus, Mama..
