Matthew 19:24, Mark 10:25, Luke 18:25 are the scriptures about the eye of a needle. In ancient times the big doors of a city was locked at night. People parked their camels outside and entered the city through a small door; known as the eye of a needle
Jesus was saying it would be easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. I guess love of money is a problem.
Matthew 19:24 And again I (Jesus) say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Mark 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
Mark 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
As it relates to marriage, 1-12 above JESUS give good clarity about what JEHOVAH /GOD has written in stone, nevertheless in 2020 mankind still put away unlawfully. Thank GOD for JESUS thereby forgiveness of this sin through JESUS can be obtain. 13-31 again JESUS mind is on SALVATION for us, 33-34 JESUS mind is on the work HE must finish, thereby finishing or establishing THE WAY for us that leads to ETERNAL LIFE /SALVATION, see John 3:16-21.
Jesus loves me! To follow him I must take up my cross . Bring the children to Jesus that he may bless them take your kids to church. Man I got to love their wives. Because there are one in Christ.
it is my duty to stop false doctrines where ever I find it, from people who try to teach scripture and do not know how to precept the bible the way the holy ghost commanded Isaiah 28:10-13mark 10:5 if you know how to precept...I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH YOU...FOR JESUS SAID WHO IS MY MOTHER OR MY BROTHER...ALL WHO DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER
Gods understanding is beyond the human mental capacities of this world. The longer God allows us to live, the more opportunity is provided to listen to him and guide us through is spirit. God has designed the world in granular perfection. God reveals himself to those who seek in the spirit. We cannot move on own terms to spread the power of God. We must do so with his approved guidance.
"How hard it is for them that TRUST in riches to enter the Kingdom of God". Are we willing to give up all that we have and TRUST in God? It may not seem easy, but with God it is possible. All things were made by Him and He owns everything. Think about it.
Ask for forgiveness every morning and night for any sin you could of committed. Praise His Holy Name!!! Walk with His Strength wherever you go. Be prepared to face any situation by going to Him first-- not the enemy's way of this world. Thank Him after for staying close. Think about the Blessings He had bestowed on you. Keep going after the impossible of this world-- for they are made possible!!!
Do not kill - Mark 10:19. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:20.
Dear Vivian, Jesus commandment on divorce is very clear- Mark 10:11 12 so A christian cannot remarry after a divorce until the other partner dies. Only then are they loosed from their previous mariage. However you should discuss this with the Elders and Pastor of your church. Godbless you...
2 things about the blind man: First he cast away his garment knowing he could find it again because he knew Jesus would cure his blindness. And second: Jesus didn't tell him not to publish it, like he told others that he healed before. For now it didn't matter because his time had come.
50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. 52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
The fact that Jesus is God and that he came not to be ministered unto but to minister to those of his creation shows me that he is here teaching his people a lesson by example. But his ministry goes far beyond anything that we could aspire to He gave his life as a Ransom for his people life
Perfect timeing for Mark 10 just came to me out of no where I was talk to Google Assistant about weather and what time I would like Google to remind me I said 7:45am I guest it heard Mark 10:45 and was so right I needed to read the Bible it up lefted me and 1 day after Easter Sunday hmm..GOD IS REAL...AMEN...
34 And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again. (Jesus understood / knew the power of GOD, even to the degree that HE says after they kill HIM /Jesus, He will rise again, and HE did raise himself from the dead which paid the ransom for the human race or HE conquer death for the human race.)
mark 10 great chapter im needing more prayers that I become more stronger in the Lord and get more understanding keep me prayers thanks AMEN!1 god bless
it is easier for the eye of a camel to go through a needle then a rich man, you only need enough to get through this life the riches we should seek are in heaven, feed the poor, funny today we want to take everything from the poor, what hypocrites have we leaders we pick want to deny them when they themselves are rich, I pray for them
Looking to Jesus as my guide, I find it hard to give up "riches". I fight daily to remind myself, if everlasting life is what I seek, then it is in His word I must follow. His word is what guides me. Others my question my intent, but as long as I believe that God is the Good Master of my life and strive to follow the teachings of Jesus, I need not worry about what happens at the pearly gates. Amen
Seeingtruth, Jesus is referring to God's favor to his people by blessing them in every way in this world. Especially with material things the people of this world will envy us and seek to abuse or persecute us which will always remind us that although we are materially favored we are still not with Jesus in his kingdom. 2 Cor. 4:4 Glory be to God!
Verses 1, 2, 10, 13, 17~Jesus was approachable. We must do our best to develop this quality. We want to be accessible. Maintain warm, joyful, and friendly facial expressions.
It's pretty straight forward.Christianity is no bed of rose here on earth. It is a must that we shall be provoked and harassed (persecution). We are not above our Master,it is enough that He made us equal to Him.So if He was persecuted, so shall we. We can't experience the fulness of heaven on earth. The things mentioned in this verse are not necessarily what we will OWN, but what we have access
"..Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren...for my sake, and the gospel's, but he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time...with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life." True repentance and a thoroughgoing conversion means also an abandoning of all our past ways and worldly relations; which causes persecution. We now have a new life and family.
what does this mean?
But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, ((with persecutions )); and in the world to come eternal life.
Verses 21, 22: The man had asked what he must do to gain everlasting life. He was unwilling to give up material possessions for everlasting life. We must guard against becoming attached to any material possessions.
