I have read that Psalm so very many times and I dont remember seeing that particular verse the way I saw it this morning. Yes, it is true. My, my, my so many circumstances against me, obstacles, it was, is His hand. He has been calling me to come closer to Him. I have disobeyed, to put it simply. I love HIM so much, HE is magnificent, all powerful, all loving and all Holy and True. HE is Loving Just and True. He only ever calls us closer to Him. Not to punish but to give us opportunities to get to Know Him more and more and more. John 17:3 this is life eternal, to know God and His Son whom He sent" To know Him is to love Him. Jesus asked his father to watch over his disciples. He knew that they would face problems and temptations. It is the same way with Jesus followers today and we can be confident that Jesus and his father still care for us.

Covered! Our lives, needs and all that concern us, as His own, is covered! I am made new by the reading of our Lords word everyday. Jesus prayed for me and His prayer is answered everyday in my life. John 17:4 is analogous to 2 Timothy 4:7 - testimony of a fulfilled calling or mission. John 17:5 confirms the divinity of Jesus, as in John 1:1 - that Jesus is God and has been in existence before the world was created. John 17 also teaches us that if we have received Christ, and we let His Word abide in us, we should be able to handle the trials and tribulations of life, and even overcome the enemy Luke 10:19 because His Word is spirit and His Spirit lives in us. Finally, the knowledge of Him and the presence of His Spirit in our lives guarantee us Eternal Life.

I believe God only sees two types of people on the earth. Those that know Him and those that don't know him. We that know Him truly have His Holy Spirit living within us. Because of His grace and Jesus sacrifice on the cross, we have God himself living within our spirits in this fleshly body. This transcends all the wall we have built and the labels and contentions over essentially trivial details of our different belief systems. If you know Jesus, you and I are one. We will never agree on everything. We both will never be totally correct in how we believe and worship, but when this flesh and our carnal minds are finally stripped away, what is left is pure. Just as God in the old testament called all men Adam, when he looks at us he sees Jesus.

I believe this all about Jesus telling us that there exists no greater love that how He was gloried in His death and resurrection for us. Christ's glorified so that we may experience this is the best gift God could give us. Himself. Everything points to the glory of God. The fact that we can experience joy in knowing him this way is what I believe Jesus is telling us here. John 17:24 shows how Jesus' prayer was that He would glorify the Father by the means of Himself being gloried and we would be able to savor it for all time. By giving us this gift, God is revealing the greatest love of all-Himself. I buve John 15:13 is not about us but about Christ. About He was glorified and how we the joy in experience His glory. Our Heavenly Father provided us his Son Jesus Christ because of his love John 3:16. I want to take the opportunity to encourage all to focus on the only viable point of many thousands of years of scripture. We cannot please God without understanding we are all sinners and need the provision of the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus. There are differences of opinions - Trinity or not, works vs grace, baptize or not, gift still in operation. Paul advises us to not argue over these issues, either we believe John 3:16 or we do not. Satan wants us to focus on secondary issues as opposed to spreading the Gospel. To encourage a younger Christian by revealing scripture is correct however please focus on building up rather than disputing doctrines that at the end of the day may create divisions and discourage younger folks. As we mature in Christ, the Holy Spirit is fully capable of giving us better understanding, like Paul said, when I became a man I put away childish things.

Cox, Do you not remember where, while on the cross, Jesus said "Into Thy hands I commit my spirit. " We must rightly divide the Scriptures, comparing parts of it with other parts of it so as not to be mislead. The Scriptures will always rightly interpret themselves.

according john17:11 and 13 our lord jesus christ had long left his physical body before his arest and crusifiction. jesus said "iam no more in this world " and he further said in v.13 "now i come to thee " he never said i will come after my crusifiction and death. if we take letral meaning of these two vs its clear that his spiritual being had long left before his arest and crusifiction. meaning if we can have letral faith in the word we can move mountains. amen.

This is a perfect example of what our prayers need to be like so as to strengthen and encourage our loving relationship with the Father as well as with each other.

Jesus Christ is the Light John1:4 . Waliking in the light means to walk in Jesus Christ. Waliking in Jesus Christ means to walk in the Holy Spirit and not in flesh darkness . As Jesus is about to go to the cross to die and shed his precious blood for the sins of the world, He prayed for His disciples and those who had believed on Him, then he prayed for those who WOULD believe on Him. That is US! He is like a father making sure His children are provided for after he is gone. What a Mighty God we serve. Angels bow before Him, heaven and earth adore Him. What a Mighty God we serve!

Jesus prays to the father that he has finish what god has sent him into the world the world to do and that is to preach the the gospel and let the world know that the father sent him. Hello Mike: John 17: 17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth ". So do I understand that you do not believe that Jesus calmed the sea? Do you know of any human man that calmed the sea? I believe that God calmed the sea. God is the only one that can control the waters on this Earth. Why do you think the bow rainbow appears in the sky? This is a reminder for God not to destroy this earth with water, Genesis 9. In the end, the word of God is true.
