Jesus is the Son of God,not a prophet. John 16 23 you will see He refers to His Father and again in John16 13 to the Spirit of Truth who will come after Him.Paul Smart needs to read all the verses, instead of one verse here and there ans coming to wrong conclusions
Yes Our lord Jesus overcomed the world for us non of tribulation in this world can destroy if we lift our eyes to Jesus in every stuation we more than conquor Jesus is on our side nothing to fear about he has overcomed the devil
John 16:33 to me means that in a uncomfortable situation which happens every day in the world that no matter what when i call on Jesus and lean on him and trust in him i can rejoice for he has overcome the world and i can continue to wait on him and serve him and i can watch him work me thru it all and glorify him and all will see. When we have trpals that is when my father gets to shine.
I belive that this verse tells us that the Jesus who lived 2,000 years ago was a prophet, and if you read further in the Bible you read where Jesus talks about one coming after him.
These are the last days when men are seeking for answers but not listning to their hearts or the Holy Spirit! Time is so short it waits for no man! Let John 16:8 expload in your heart! See my facebook Kenneth Ordway
It gives hope to some of us who think God has turned against us..I really love it, it does revive me..He is a faithful God, He makes promises and fulfill them.. My God...... Amen
The account of Acts 1:14 has nothing to do with rosary. Mary praying with the disciples of Jesus upon waiting for the Holy Ghost does not mean we should make any image of Mary to pray through it.The disciples were not praying through Mary, but Mary was rather praying with them.Jesus said ''..whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name,He shall give it you'' John 16:23 KJV.Christ is the ONLY root through which we can pray to the father.NOT ROSARY.
Peace is one of the benefits of being members of the body of Christ.IN HIM we have peace( John 16:33).Jesus does not give us peace as the world does. His peace is not absence of tribulation. It is about not being afraid of or troubled by tribulation. It only comes when we trust God. Isaiah 26:3 says:THOU WILT KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE, [WHOSE] MIND [IS] STAYED [ON THEE]: BECAUSE HE TRUSTETH IN THEE.
In my opinion, these are the most powerful words ever written. He's only asking us to 'Cheer up!
He has done the rest,..This man (and the ONLY man who could even begin to speak these words 'I have overcome the World' and it be true!) wants us to stay in good cheer, no matter how bad our individual world gets, just remember he has paid the price for us! So, we are the lucky ones, stay in good cheer my friends, the price has been paid. The Kingdom awaits us.
Lord Jesus said we shall ask anything in His name and we shall be given, that includes healing, annointing, finances ect. but first thing first let us ask to strengthens our relationship with Him and all other thing shall be added to us. amen.
john3;16 says god love's us that why he send his only begoten son to come and die for me anb u and that who so ever believe in him shall not parish but shall have ever lasting life...so if u know he die for u, i will like u to shout a laughter halelujah

The text can best be understood in the light of the incident recorded in Numbers:11:17&25.It is Infact a type of what Jesus would later demonstrate during the feast of weeks/Pentecost.In Numbers God instructs Moses to bring to before the tabernacle 70 leaders of Israel.Only when the would stand before the tabernacle would God take of the Spirit that was with Moses and impart it to the 70 elders. This is exactly what would happen when Christ would reach heaven.God would take of the Spirit that imbued Christ at baptism, and dispense with it as promised. This God did at pentecost and later the same Spirit in Peter,as he began to speak at Cornellius' villa in Caesarea, what's imparted by (God) to all in the same way that it happened during Pentecost(Acts:10:44/11:15)
That the name of Jesus Christ is supreme and it is the only name that can appeal to God's heart for all request that man can submit. That is the only name that all the debates of the world centred. You are either in His camp or not. Jesus Christ is the issue, the pillar of all. The Son of God and the Savior of the world.
In our day to day life we will find unfriendly situations. And since jesus overcame there is assuarance of us overcoming is we look forward to jesus our savier.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
The comforter must be a great person who is always glorify Jesus in his holy scripture.. Did anybody read Koran? I heard that there was chapter marry on that scripture
The answer to the question who is the comforter is answerable only by the comforter himself. The Holy Spirit is not a person and has no name. It is an agency like electricity, a force that makes the will of God possible on earth. The comforter is the one Jesus promised to send. When asked by his disciples what would happen in the end he answered I will send you Elijah who will lead you into all truth. So now we know the name of the comforter. We cannot be comforted by someone who is not going through the same things we are. Elijah is the enforcer of God's will on earth but he is with us right now going through the same tribulation. That is why he can comfort us because he is also with us. If you run into Elijah you will know it right away. If you hear his voice you will recognize it right away. It is the voice of the father.
John 1519, john 16:8, john 16:11, John 16:20,I am looking for something about if you are of the world and god and jesus is not. trying to say that with in the world men of the world will control you what you think like chip.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
who is the comforter ??
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Who is the spirit of truth ? what guidence given by him to mankind ? what are the things he shew to mankind?
Verse 2, Its important for us to acknowledge that hardships, trials, tribulations and troubles are a necessary part of life. John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." In the world we will have tribulations and troubles -- sicknesses, family tragedies, out of work, financial difficulties, family problems, earthquakes, floods etc., business failure etc. It is a given, but Jesus says, "be of good cheer". He is saying that we must learn how to find joy in the midst of life's hardships, because He has overcome the world. James tells us to count all of this joy. James 1:2-4, My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. How many of us really take this verse seriously? The truth is, if we really desire the liberating power of God's Spirit and kingdom in our lives, we must find joy in life's hardships. Two reasons why we need to learn how to enjoy life's hardships. 1. The Storms of Life Help To Keep Us On Track With God. Psalms 119:67, Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word. There's a story of a woman who became the victim of amnesia. For three months she wandered, but during a severe thunderstorm she suddenly remembered who she was and where she was from. How often the storms of life bring us back to our senses! God sends them not to destroy us but to help us. Many people can look back and thank God for the storms that brought them back to Him! 2. Struggles And Hardships Sift Out The Impurities In Our Lives. Hebrews 12:27-28, Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. A Christian man lost his home and mill when a flood washed them away. He was brokenhearted and discouraged as he stood surveying his loss. Just then he saw a glittering object that had been uncovered by the waters. It was gold! The disaster he thought had made him a beggar had actually made him wealthy. So, the Lord often works through our troubles to strip away certain cherished possessions to show us the better treasures of His love and power. How thankful we should be that in every storm of affliction we have the assurance that the Lord has a good purpose in view! The more joy we are able to find in the midst of life's hardships the stronger and more secure we will be as individuals, who are now able to walk in victory and succeeding in the issues of life. Nehemiah 8:10 ...for this day is holy to our LORD. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength. It all boils down to the fact that hardships are a part of life and there is no way we can escape them in our lives. They serve a meaningful purpose.
The Bible refers to the Holy Spirit as the spirit of God; or the spirit of Christ. The Holy Spirit is not another member of the Godhead, but the spirit of the Godhead. It should not speak of himself, but what he shall hear that shall he speak.

The comforter is the Holy Ghost. This becomes evident as you read more of the scriptures, especially the book of Acts. God bless you.
Sin is NOT referring to our physical failings.
Instead, it's transgression of the law, 1John 3:4.
But we're NOT under the law, Rom 8:2, Rom 10:4, Gal 5:18. Hence believers CANNOT be charged with this sin.
Sin is unrighteousness, 1John 5:17.
But a believer's faith is counted for righteousness, Rom 4:5. Hence we CANNOT be charged with this sin.
Sin is unbelief in Jesus, John 16:9.
Believers CANNOT be charged with this sin.
So, as believers, we CANNOT sin.
