Discuss John 15 Page 10

Jesus Christ obeyed all the 10 Commandments His entire life. John 15:10 If He had not, He would not have been 100% SINLESS (without blemish) and His sacrifice would not have been so powerful to accomplish all that it did.

We are to walk just as Jesus walked. 1 John 2:6

When we take His Spirit into us, that is the same event as us receiving a new heart - spoken of in Ezekiel 36:26-27. Look closely at those verses. "I will ... CAUSE you to walk in My statutes, and ye SHALL keep My judgments, and do them."

Christ observed the 7th Day Sabbath every week of His life and it is the 4th Commandment. We are to do the same.

Resting in the security of His providence is a good thing to do, but it is not a substitute for the Sabbath Day of rest instituted at Creation Week - because none of the Commandments have ever been repealed. Gen. 2:2-3 God blessed and sanctified only one day ever, and what God blesses cannot be reversed. Num. 23:20

It is the only day He ever claimed to be HIS Day. Isaiah 58:13 It is the GENUINE Lord's Day that John refers to in Rev. 1:10. There is no other reference anywhere in scripture to that term and the Isaiah verse identifies which day that is.

Righteousness does not come by the Law.

And nobody has claimed that it does.

Righteousness comes by Jesus Christ, specifically by His Spirit which empowers/enables His followers to obey the Commandments.

It is also NOT 'works salvation' to obey the 10 Commandments when it is the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ who is doing the work. We are not capable of obeying by ourselves, but His Spirit has already lived a physical lifetime of obeying all the Commandments of God Almighty. John 15:10 And it is 'primed' to do that for us, combined with our trust in Him and our submission to His will.

    Hi Kim.

It's not so big a deal to go to church on Sunday as it is to neglect to worship on the Sabbath Saturday, as God Commanded those who love Him in the 4th Commandment.

And the 10 Commandments are not at all difficult to keep, as many Christians have been brainwashed to believe.

The biggest issue they have is with the 4th Commandment - The Sabbath. Which is also very easy to keep once you make up your mind to follow God and His Ways. Jesus kept all the Commandments. John 15:10 We are to walk (live) as Jesus walked (lived.) 1 John 2:6. Even Paul is recorded in scripture as keeping all the 10 Commandments. Acts 21:24 All of Jesus' disciples kept the Sabbath Commandment immediately after His crucifixion - which speaks volumes. Luke 23:54-56

    The 10 Commandments

    1. Only worship God

    2. Don't worship demons (idols)

    3. Don't take God's Name in vain

    4. Observe the 7th Day Sabbath

    5. Honor parents

    6. Don't murder

    7. No adultery

    8. Don't steal

    9. Don't lie

    10. Don't covet

Where exactly is the difficulty in keeping those? The first 4 teach us exactly how to love God. The last 6 teach us how to love mankind.

The Sabbath, as well as the 10 Commandments, were given to everybody.

Read the dramatic account in Exodus of God speaking the 10 Commandments ALOUD to the world in the presence of the Israelites and you will be convinced of their significance to all who worship God Almighty. His voice was so booming and terrifying that the people begged Moses to ask God not to speak aloud anymore. God SPOKE our world into existence; God SPOKE the Commandments into existence. Exodus chapter 19 through 20.

"My covenant will I NOT BREAK, nor ALTER the thing that has come out of My lips."

    Psalm 89:34

Your word has the truth of all that has been happening to me in the past year! I have and still am being attacked by worshipers of satan! I pray that I be released from all forms attacking me to no avail! I believe that God will work in me and has reason for not releasing me until it be his will! I believe there is a purpose that I cannot see or understand and I wait on Him! Pray for me and my children that love me for who I am! I'm A believer!

    Amen S Spencer,

Very well put. The same Spirit, also John 15:26-27, during those times, fulfilling the law and the prophets was a purpose. What can be unclear sometimes it was to the Jews first, it was not until all the prophecies concerning this had to be fulfilled. The beginning of the Church was Jews only and the law was still in play until Peters dream and Paul as we see in Acts 10 and Acts 15 and other places.

There is one thing I repeat over and over when I read or study is "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear". It reminds me to shake out my thoughts and preconceived ideas where I can hear what Jesus through the Holy Spirit is ready to show me. I still have much to hear and each time it is a wow, praise God moment.

    God bless,

    Hi Louis.

For anyone to come in the presence of God he has to be perfect, Perhaps this is why no one has come in the presence of God and lived. That is what Christ came to through the work on the cross. Hebrews 10:12-17.

It is the spirit that work in you after conversion. Philippians 2:13. Philippians 1:6.

We are to be in agreement with the spirit and bare the fruit produced by the vine. John 15:1-8.

Anything that is done in the flesh and not through the influence of the spirit is not accepted, Your works will be tried by fire. 1 Corinthians 3:11-17.

That which is done in your own strength lacks the ability and authenticity to please God, but the spirit gives life to this fleshly nature captured in these sinful bodies. Romans 8:5-14.

It is important for a Christian to not attempt to ad to the finish work on the cross. ( We should acknowledge the works we do adds nothing to your salvation, that's been taken care of you can't loose it.)

In our walk we will stumble: 1 John 2:1. 1 John 1:7-10. Let's not loose sight of Philippians 1:6.

    God bless.

I have been concentrating on my relationship with God. I continue to ask Him to search me and mold me into a s"Vessel", Sanctified and set apart, to be used by Him to bring Glory to Him and to Him, ONLY, not just for what He has done but simply for who He is in my life. I had to be tested by His "Word", and through His Power, by the shedding of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus the Christ, He has responded. Daily I know that there are things of this World that are used as a Testing, of our growth in Faith. And through such that we fine tune our sight through Spiritual eyes. I see "Greater Blessings". My Prayer Life has been amped up, and He Speaks and His voice, I am amazed that's sinner like me, yet, Saved by Grace, He guides me with Wisdom and knowledge. I see the fallout of many. But to God I owe my life, so I rejoice in the fact as I have studied and Praised, John 15:16, Jesus said, I chose you, you didn't choose me! Oh how glorious were they to me. They jumped off the pages and embraced me. I just learned to love myself after all this time, God's, not mine. All things in my life, are the Plan a product of Faith and Joy as God has granted me the "Wisdom" as I have been created in His image. Those words are True, if not, God would be as Man, and lie, He knew those Words, Faith, Hope and Charity, Charity being "Love", I had to Love myself, in order to give the return to God in Spirit and Truth and to my fellowman. I can be who God says I can be, Certainly I can and will do what God says for me to do. God's Word, not Man's shall hinder me from turning back and Praising God, He brought me out. I have no reason to look back! I ask for forgiveness for many sins in thought and in deed. It has been said, "I am NOT like You", God is pleased with me and when He is not, I plead forgiveness as He has taught and with just a Word, is faithful, HE, tells me once, and I hear it twice, ( Psalm 62), exactly whether to take a step, or Be Still, Know that HE is God!!

That's a question which many have pondered over. However, when people ask such a question, they generally begin with 'God having chosen some to belong to Him & have rejected others consigning them to suffering in Hell'. Yet, in my understanding, the start of it doesn't begin with God choosing, but with God knowing. "Elect according to the foreknowledge of God" ( 1 Peter 1:2); or, 'being a part of the elect of God because of God's foreknowledge of every person'.

We believe in an Omniscient God, that is a God Who knows all things, the complete lives of people (before their birth till the day of their death) & every event in Heaven & on Earth that may not even had a beginning as yet to us. Psalm 139:1-16 is a great Psalm showing both the omniscience & omni-presence of God & as David said in verse 6: "Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it." Such knowledge is only in God's domain, not just of all things present, but also of all things before they come to pass or into being.

So when we read a verse as you shared, John 15:16, we see that Jesus chose His disciples to belong to Him & to perform His Will. But how did Jesus know whom to choose out of the great number of eligible men that lived there? Was it just a good guess on His part, though one chosen was wicked ( John 6:70)? Or maybe, the night he spent in prayer with His Father ( Luke 6:12,13), was also a night of the Father's instructions on the men to select from all those who followed Him. So we see here, that before choosing them to go out to serve, they first had to be the ones whom God knew would be responsive to His Son.

Once we understand this, then we won't see God as being an unjust God showing partiality. That those who come to Him in faith through His Son are those not being forced to do so, but are those whom God already knew of before their birth (as David did). And those who are "destined for Hell", choose to go there, God knowing the path their lives would take.

in John 15:16 it says God chooses his people or I think that's what it means. But I was wondering if God is the one who chooses his people and we are not the ones to choose Him, then does that mean the people that are not chosen, He destined them to go to hell? like they cant choose? I hope what I said makes sense, thanks!

John 15:16 - "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."

you just talk to God. You thank him for the blessings he has given you, you ask for forgiveness for your sins, you pray for your loved ones, you ask him of the thing you need/want :)

here is some Bible verses about prayer:

Philippians 4:6 - "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."

John 15:7 - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Jeremiah 33:3 - Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

psalms 34:17 - The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

    I hope this helped! :)

    God bless.

Please read Genesis 5:1-2, Genesis 1:26-30, here it states plural. It also reasonably suggests multiple to subdue the entire earth. Genesis 1:26, Genesis 1:28,

Genesis 2:15, was this a separated man? If GOD had already told mankind to subdue the entire earth? Would HE really take him then to dress & tend a special garden HE had made? Or is this symbolic of the Church._. Ezekiel 28:12-15, Ezekiel 31:8-9, Isaiah 58:11, Isaiah 61:11, Joel 2:3? Many times Jesus refers to the "vine dresser", the "stewards", seeds, etc. Luke 13:17, Luke 13:18-21, * John 15:1,5, & many times it's about unfaithfulness of that stewardship many times relating to the "Church" & those in charge. Luke 16:2, Ironic Jesus also being crucified by Garden, John 19:41, & where Jesus was betrayed, bound, taken captive, John 18:26,27, John 18:1-12,

    Genesis 4:1-16, note Genesis 4:14,

Then you have an unreasonable fear of being killed by vengeance which was completely irrational if there was only Adam & Eve. There in that family -2 mourning the murdered child & 1 on the run. Then you have the outrageous idea that those same two parents would give a daughter to the murderer who already disregarded his brother's life to kill him. Gross, perverted imagination!! Genesis 4:16-17 then he built a city. Genesis 19:4-25, why isn't man killed mentioned? Then Seth's birth.

The importance of the lineage of Adam & Eve was it led to the Messiah Jesus CHRIST. Luke 3:22-38. Therefore when Eve is called the mother of all living CHRIST even addressed this as "let the dead bury the dead" pointing to spiritual death. Note it doesn't say Eve was of "life" it said mother of living._Genesis 3:20..Note also the day they would surely "die"! Genesis 2:17. Genesis 3:6-8, fear of (death?) eternal judgement? What happened? If it wasn't a spiritual death? Genesis 3:10, loss of fellowship, trust, intimacy even in marriage that's sometimes referred to "death, of the marriage"

Genesis 6:1-6, Gen 6:6, "earth" not "garden"

Hello Charles, The key is to trust in the Lord Jesus, and that may seem obvious, and easier said then done, but my encouragement is to pray fervently throughout each day, that the Lord God would help you trust in him with all your heart as He instructed:

Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."

We can't simply will ourselves into no longer having fear under our own power; because without Christ we can do nothing (even simple things like trusting Him) - therefore, we need to pray that He will be the one that makes the change in us.

    John 15:5

"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."

The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 - "Pray without ceasing." so keep praying day after day without ceasing until He gives you that trust and answers your prayers and cry for help.

The Bible shows us fear is a sin ( Revelation 21:8), so it's something we all should be on guard against, and it's good you are confessing it, because James 5:16 makes it sound like that's part of how we are healed from such a fault:

James 5:16 "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

And like any other sin, God promises to give us a way to escape it:

    1 Corinthians 10:13

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

Next time temptation comes, go to the Lord Jesus for escape, trust Him, and keep your mind on Him:

    Isaiah 26:3

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."

Maybe even sing hymns as you pray - it helps you keep your mind on Him and when they prayed in prison the chains broke off( Acts 16:25)

One thing about Christianity is you can't carbon copy it, observation and following doesn't leads to Justification, It's what's inside that has to be renewed,

not the doctrinal practices and rituals we focus on. We can't manifest spirituality.

When we are born again our walk is guided by the Holyspirit,

The Apostles walked and observed Jesus 3 years but was unable to truly follow Jesus until he sent the Holyspirit. Not only did their beliefs changed also their walk.

It's not how much we know, winning debates, following any particular doctrine or church age that seals or confirms anything, IT'S BEING IN CHRIST WHERE IT BEGINS AND WHERE IT ENDS.

After we have been regenerated, guidance follows and that's a work by the Spirit on your heart!! Spiritual growth begins. If there is no Spiritual growth we examine ourselves,

We don't go after looking for sheep to follow.

    Matthew 7:15-18.

    John 15:5.

But if there is one shepherding the Lords flock we will hear his voice.

    John 10:27.

We don't become his sheep by following him, we follow him because we are his sheep. We hear is voice in who ever is speaking and from there we are led to green pasture.
  • Chris - In Reply - 3 years ago
Thanks for replying Rick. Stay with it - read the Scriptures (the Old & New Testaments) with this in mind: God's Love knows no bounds as He is just that, a loving God as well as a Just God dealing with us as sinners. He made the provision for every person to come to know Him, even those who've never heard of Him but look to that One, someone greater & more 'merciful' than their idols, coming in faith & expectancy that their redemption must come from above.

Would a perfect lamb sufficed as a Sacrifice? Maybe it would as it would have been God-provided & God-accepted to make full atonement. But then again, how deep & unfathomable is the Father's Love, that by not only providing a Sacrifice that we could not provide, but that He gave of that one Sacrifice that could never be transcended in any possible way: Himself. This alone gives us much weight of assurance & great joy when we read in 1 John 3:16: "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren." And, John 15:13: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Do I see Jesus in the OT? Maybe not His Name, but certainly the Promise & expectancy of His Coming at the appointed time to give both Jew & Gentile salvation that none can separate or rob us of ( Romans 8:38,39). Praise Him often for His mercies He has showered upon you, giving you life & hope that so many spurn, rejecting His Offer of eternal life.

Hi, why the Bible does not use the real names of God or Jesus and use the word Lord.

There are lots of lords in England.

God's real name is YHWH there are many god's Satan is a god.

Jesus' real name is Yahusha and in his time here in the world there was no letter J.

why use the Jews in the Bible as if they were YHWH people they are not the Hebrews of old, they are the Pharisees, that hated Yahusha.

They are pure Cabal from the Russian steps.

Are you even able to answer me? If you are it would be much appreciated.

    Hi

    Mathew 3:10-11.

I would like to add one or two more things that I believe is to be very important. Whether by water baptism or baptism by the Holyspirit, is it evident in your life that spiritual baptism has taken place.

You will run into 2 major groups engage on this topic. One group is those who believe you are saved by confessing Jesus and keeping the commandments. Some of this group believe you can lose your salvation. This group is bond to a work base religion.

The other group believes "for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Even the faith you are being saved through is not your faith! it is a gift of God!

You have nothing to offer God in terms of salvation! I hold this view.

True baptism when you "GENUINELY" accept Christ as your savior there is production in your life that begins. You can't produce it or keep it from producing as you feed on the word.

I will share a few by verses below and hopefully others can expand on them or add to.

Notice Paul' he didn't have much to say about water baptism, but he had a lot to say about baptism by the Holyspirit.

    Romans 6:4.

    Romans 6:6-8.

    Romans 6:11.

It does well to study all of Romans 6 to expand a little on "the production' of spiritual baptism.

    JOHNS BAPTISM.

you can see a picture of this transition for the Jews drawn out for you by Paul in Romans 7:1-2. Read all.

    Now read Mathew 3:10-11.

Israel was a natural branch that didn't bear fruit. Jeremiah 2:21. "Nor could it"

Also read Mathew 21:42-44. and John 15:1-7.

Now let's get back to our 2 groups.

You have the 1st group I mentioned that put themselves in bondage as did Israel and despising the truth.

believing in baptism outwardly but unbaptized inwardly.

    EXAMPLE: Romans 2:25-29.

    The 2nd group

    Philippians 3:3.

    Galatians 3:13.

    John 8:36.

    The outcome.

    1John 2:3.

    1 John 4:21.

This Love cannot be produced by self.

    God bless.

Delores - That makes some feel good but it won't stand in judgement.

Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

John 15:2 Every branch (in me) that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Matthew 25:14-30 And cast ye the (unprofitable servant) into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou (faithful unto death), and I will give thee a crown of life.

Dear GiGi again. In Jesus Name i have experienced the opposite of what you say, for all eight years.

If we follow The free will we have, and live in it, is from the dark ones. But its thru He have give us a free will and we NEED to pray " i dont want my free will " take it away dear Jesus! Those ppl who will follow Him need too crucify the flesh. And keep theyr tongue tied, and thoughts as well. We are on our way, and Learning from Him the Holy Spirit.

Ill promised God I would read the scriptures for as long as I lived, and ill see many hidden meaning in Scripture today. But then That was a real pray after God Fathers hearth! :D And the day come when He open up the Scripture for me. The words was like fire and the letters moved around for a sec or two.

And no flesh can be saved without Him

    John 15:5

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Soo those time i go and tell somthing like heavenly to other ppl, they fall short because they do not understand.

And in that it comes arguing and all kinds of evil. Soo when ill sheer something here in web site. I do understand that some ppl can speculate and may not believe it is true. But i promise u its thru all of it.

    Romans 2:

4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

    5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first,

and further :p In Jesus Name

    Hi Hans.

A conditional covenant is an agreement between two or more parties that requires certain terms to be met. If the terms are met, there will be one kind of result (favorable). If the terms are not met, there will be a different result (unfavorable).

The case we have here is Abraham had no participation in the oath being made therefore he was not bound to an oath.

It was the Lord given the promise and it was "HE" who confirmed it with an oath.

    Hebrews 6:13-14.

    Hebrews 6:17.

It didn't take obedience of the Law to form the Covenant.

    Galatians 3:17-18.

However I didn't Leave out obedience.

Here's why and how we obey.

AND OPERATION OF THE HOLYSPIRIT IN THE NEW COVENANT.

    THE TRUE VINE!

    John 151:17.

Ps. You are not expected to bare fruit until AFTER you are connected to the vine.

    Notice verse 4.

    John 15:4.

The branch cannot bear fruit of itself!!

Nor does it produce the fruit!!

Again. ( YOU CANNOT PRODUCE THE FRUIT ) YOU BEAR IT.!!

    ( 2 Corinthians 3:5. )

    Hebrews 10:16

    Romans 6:6

    Romans 8:10-11.

Christians have a decision to make: whether to trust and follow God's morals or the world's morals? Christianity (folllowing Jesus) isn't a one time event, but a lifelong pursuit. 1 Corinthians 9:24. It says to run the race (effort); it doesn't say the race is already finished. Some get off course and don't care.

Some Christians follow God's morals only to the point where it conflicts with the world's morals, then proceed with the world's morals instead. The result is following the world ( 1 John 2:15).

Despite Acts 2:38 saying to be baptized, some say "don't" be baptized.

Despite John 14:6 saying to go to Jesus, some say to go through a 'prophet' or pope.

Despite James 4:17 saying to avoid sin, some claim it's bad and 'legalism' to avoid sin.

Despite Psalm 139:13 saying unborn babies are special, some claim killing them is ok.

Despite Ezra 7:13 saying people have freewill, some claim they "don't" have freewill.

Despite Matthew 7:13 saying most people will go to hell, some say most will "not" go to hell.

Despite Matthew 10:28 warning us about hell, some say "there is no hell."

Despite 1 Timothy 2:12 saying women shouldn't teach, some say they "should."

Despite Leviticus 20:13 saying homosexuality is a sin, some say it's "not" a sin.

Despite John 15:10 saying to obey, some say it's ok to "not" obey.

Despite John 1:1 saying Jesus (the Word) is God, some say Jesus is "not" God.

Despite 1 John 5:7 saying 3 are one, some say the 3 are "not" one.

The rationalizing pattern seems to be: "No, the Bible doesn't say [what it actually says], but says [something I'm more comfortable with]". This format seems awfully similar to Genesis 3:4 where satan says "Ye shall NOT surely die." Satan is called the father of lies for a reason and some Christians assume they are immune to it.

Rationalizing the world's morals over God's morals seems to require ignoring scripture. Does anyone agree?

So, should we follow God's Word or man's word (which might be satan's word)?

    God bless...

    Brother Dan.

    My view on John 3:5.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. "Born of water" This has nothing to do with baptism by water. If this baptism have anything to do with this section of scripture it would be in verse 6 where Jesus says "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirt. Romans 6:4. The water mentioned here I believe is the word of God!

John 17:17. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. " The cleansing sanctifying power of the word!"

John 15:3. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Hebrews 4:12. The word is alive!! A person must be born again by the use of the scripture and its the Holyspirit taking the scripture and using it. I've heard it put like this, You have Spirit of God using the word of God through the man of God.

Verse 11: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We "SPEAK" that we do know, and "TESTIFY" that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

It takes the spirit of God to be obedient to the word of God. It takes the spirit of God to receive the word of God. And it take the word of God to receive the spirit of God through baptism of the Holyspirit.

I haven't heard one person on this site said they wasn't baptized, So why quarrel about obedience in that regard? But many of us say it wasn't to add to what Christ done on the cross. Is that disobedience? If you believe keeping some ritual or commandments is your way to salvation, What does the cross mean to you? Christ wasn't sacrificed "JUST IN CASE YOU FALL SHORT" He was sacrificed because you couldn't. He paid the penalty BECAUSE YOU ARE ALL READY GUILTY.

    God bless.

Mark, this is what you're dealing with. I've gone through this myself. No more despairing. You have to stand up against IT. And it thinks it can take you down. Just as Ezekiel had to do in chapter 37, SPEAK OUT: in Jesus Name and by the power of his authority, I come against YOU, spirit of heaviness; I BIND your evil plans against me and in the name of Jesus of Nazareth I reject you and cast you into outer darkness to wander, forever. I forbid your return. I am a blood bought child of the Most High God! I am covered in Jesus Blood. Let me go!!!

    it's personality

    Spirit of Heaviness [a demon]

Manifestations - Excessive Mourning, Sorrow-Grief, Insomnia, Self- Pity, Rejection, Broken-Heart, Despair-Dejection-Hopelessness, Depression, Suicidal Thoughts, Inner Hurts that won't heal.

Loose: Comforter-Holy Spirit, Garment of Praise, Oil of Joy, John 15:26; Isaiah 61:3

I know people like their own tunes, but this works for me. Listen to: Kingdom in the Streets by DION. It's on YouTube. OR, "IN 3D". Listen sometimes to Spiritual Warfare Scriptures. Type that in on YouTube and they will build up your faith. Praise will get you out of that Valley of Dry Bonesstand up on your feet and shake your fist at Heaviness.

He has to leave. He cannot cross the bloodline of Jesus's Blood. Jesus was cool when satan was tempting Him. He just fired off some scriptures.

You're gonna slay this Giant! Praise will get you through. Just trust me on this.

    Hi Brother Spencer,

Always nice to converse with you. You touched on a lot, and I will try to respond. I think you know what I mean when I say "plain people". God gave us His Written Word via the Bible so that a "regular person" can read/understand, and ultimately accept Jesus Christ as his savior. Yes, God's Holy Spirit is instrumental in the understanding/transformation of the Born Again Christian. This can all happen without the person becoming a Bible Scholar!

Accepting Jesus Christ as Savior, being baptized and recieveing the Holy Sprit, repenting from sin, and living a New Life is accoplished between the person, and God! So I beleieve we are in agreement, that God will accomplish the transformation through His Holy Spirit.

    You stated the following:

"Here's The commandment Christ is speaking of- " John 15:12. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

I will say, It is more than just "one commandment" that Christ speaks about. The commandments are plural - more than one:

    Matthew 22:38-40

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets

Please Note: Jesus states on the above 2 commandments "hang all the law" and the prophets! Christ is not doing away with God's 10 commandments!

Jesus stated that the 1st and Greatest Commandment is to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. If we love God, as a good Christian, why wouldn't we try to follow his 10 commandments?

    God Bless.

    Hi Dan.

Would you say plain people is one without the Holyspirit? if he has the Holyspirit he's not plain!! He has a helper and a truth revealer.

1 Corinthians 2:12-14. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. The Carnal mind can't understand what is written literal.

Here's The commandment Christ is speaking of-

John 15:12. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

And this is not done by you, It is the Holyspirit that causes you to Love by virtue. This is a fruit. You can't produce fruit, You bare it by being connected to the vine. The Law could never Change the inner Man. Fruitl is interior!

Here's the concept. Matthew 23:25-26. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Jesus is not talking about the Law because noone has been able to keep the law if so there was no need of a mercy seat that pointed to Christ.

The law was given to Israel and there was no tolerance in keeping it. It was the ministry of condemnation. If you break one you broken them all and if you do it once you're forever lost if you're not covered by the Lambs blood.

    Colossians 2:13-14.

    Romans 7:10.

    Romans 7:11.

    Romans 7:12.

The first sabbath that was broken when the law was given a couple was stoned to death for gathering sticks.

    As plain as it gets.

    God bless.

Brother David, in the fullness of times, GOD will be ALL IN ALL ( 1 Corinthians 15:28).

Jesus came to visibly show what it means for God to be ALL in ALL, Christ was the first.

Christ is the body ( Ephesians 4:4)(a vessel) that holds ALL GOD IS; therefore Christ did nothing of himself, because a BODY can DO NOTHING of itself, It's the LIFE in the BODY that does the work. ( John 5:19)( John 5:30)( John 8:28).

Philippians 2:13 For it is God (the LIFE) which worketh in you (in the body, the vessel, even in Christ) TO WILL and TO DO his (the Father's) good pleasure.

We are going to be CONFORMED to the likeness of Christ. We are the pot (the body, the vessel) he is the potter.

He is bring his BODY (you and I) to TRUTH. WE do NOTHING OURSELVES ( John 15:5).

When you are BORN of TRUTH, ALL that you are doing is not you THE BODY doing it, but God THE LIFE in you doing the work.

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God (TRUTH) doth not COMMIT SIN: for his SEED (CHRIST IN YOU)( Colossians 1:27) remaineth in him (you ARE DEAD (in trespasses) he GAVE you HIS LIFE, you are now the body that HOLDS ALL GOD IS): and he (the one who died to TRUTH), cannot sin, because he is born of TRUTH.

    And the TRUTH is:

Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD (THE LIFE) which worketh in you (HIS BODY) both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

God grace us with eyes to see, God bless you.
