    No, my friend, I have the Witness within me bearing witness to the Truth of what I here write & have written, back up with the Scriptures & sound reasoning, sealed with the experiential personal knowledge of them that God has given me in bringing me out of the darkness into His glorious Light Act 26:18 Wherein I stand in my present measure, abiding in the Vine & being further purged that I may bring forth more fruit. John 15:2,3

    This has not happen instantaneously, but a 13yr on going journey, Matt 7:14 God has been very gracious & good in His longsuffering love towards me, I was so mule headed, thinking I could have God's salvation my way. In His tender mercies to me He broke me & in this brokenness I yielded up myself & committed to wait upon Him Psalm 123:2 & have His salvation on His terms, John 14:6 Luke 14:27 1Cor 1:18

    Present day Christianity has not these gifts & fruits & why? In the Reformation, which small beginning began around 1400's, in slowly breaking away from the darkness of popery, did not cut all the cord asunder, but keep some of the their teaching. Like the Catholic's took over the Head of the Ministry from Christ, alone with His gifts unto men. Read the whole church history here, its freely on the web, don't rely on any man word for it, but turn to the Witness within your own heart, the Scriptures & sound reasoning, with a whole hearted love for the Truth, one cannot remain deceived for long or be deceived from what God in truth will discover to one who is searching for Him. Psalms 145:18

    Thanks Brother Ronald.

    I believe we are in agreement.

    For some reason I thought you were saying the mystery was that salvation went out to the Gentiles and the Desciples wasn't commissioned to preach to them until Paul and Stephen.

    Paul was born out of due time so he would be late in the commission.

    I believe Christ came to gather the lost sheep of Israel as mentioned in Matthew 15:24.

    I agree there was a lot to be fulfilled that was Prophesied in the old testament.

    Even his death was prophesied.

    Salvation to the heathen.

    Even his deity was prophesied " Isaiah 9:6." so I don't hold the view as Gigi as this being the mystery mentioned in Ephesians 3:5-6.

    I believe the Mystery goes further than just extending salvation to the Gentiles but that they would be Joint heirs and how it would be accomplished.

    By way of the cross and by rebirth by the Holyspirit.

    Even when he rose from the dead they asked when was he going to restore the kingdom.

    Even when he appeared to them after he rose from the dead some didn't believe.

    Not until they received the Holyspirit were they able to comprehend his work.

    Being born of God's spirit and baptized into one body was not revealed to them neither could they comprehend it.

    I believe this is what Jesus is saying in John 16:12-14.

    Also John 14:26 gives an example of how the Holyspirit would reveal revelation to them that the natural mind couldn't comprehend.

    God bless.

    "If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15 KJV

    "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:19 KJV

    "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48 KJV

    Romans 6:15-23 - be servants of righteousness

    Luke 6 - you are known by your "fruit"

    "But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." Luke 11:28 KJV

    1 John 3:24, John 8:51, James 1:22-25, Romans 6:16

    This scripture posting is intended to shine a light of truth to expose what has been deception sometimes posted here before by a few.

    Some have a problem with what Jesus said about obedience and keeping His commandments. Some may even demean what Jesus said and label these words a "works doctrine" or "legalist". A "Christ follower" attacking Christ. Be careful! End times are near.

    Hi Giannis,

    Thank you, I agree with what you are saying, we are on the same page. They all were looking for the Messiah to set up the kingdom then. That is the reason some of the things Jesus told the disciples were hidden from their understanding that later the Holy Spirit brought back to their memory. The same reason that blindness in part happened to Israel mainly the corrupt evil rulers. The mystery; to undo the works of the devil and the promise made to all nations. The mystery of His will was hidden from Satan as well.

    As Jesus told them in John 14:2 just before he went to the cross, He is going to prepare a place for you. A mansion is a dwelling place, Jesus's perfect life, death, and resurrection repaired what Adam did and the works of the devil so God could again dwell in man. 100s of prophecies were fulfilled and all was done unto the will of the Father and His timing.

    God bless,

    Hi Giannis,

    Hey brother, I don't mean to intrude between you Hemorlan, and Texsis on this but my understanding is at this time the apostles had not been told the Gospel will also be given to the Gentiles, the time had not come. There were another 3.5 years after Jesus's ministry before the apostles were told the gospel of Christ will be given to the Greeks/Gentiles, the mystery, Rom. 16:24-25.

    The Apostles stayed in Jerusalem and surrounding Jewish communities until after Stephen's death, and the persecutions. Philip the evangelist was the first to carry the gospel to the Samaritans, Peter had his dream, and Paul's conversion. To me, it is a fulfillment that Jesus had told them but they did not understand, it like they did not understand He was going to die on the cross, Acts 1:8.

    He told them the Comforter would come John 14:25-26 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

    They were learning from the Holy Spirit as we see in Acts 15, a learning curve, not a transition from the old to the new but a fulfillment and teaching of Jesus through the Holy Spirit same as we learn today.

    God bless,

    Verleen, This is for the questions asked about the Holy Ghost. I am a messianic believer of Jesus {Yashua is his real name, Ya=God. Shua=Salvation} I pray I can clarify some of your doubts.

    1.{ John 3:16} God so loved the world, that he sent his only begotten son, that whoever believed on him shall not perish but have everlasting life, this is Jesus who was, and still is the savior of mankind, he came to teach us on how we can have everlasting life. he gave us the example that we should be baptized as he was. The Holy Spirit descended upon him and abode in him, { Luke 4:1}, {Mathew 3:16} this was necessary for him to begin his ministry to the people of Israel. It was through the Holy spirit that he performed the miracles mentioned in the Bible. { Mark 5:41} and by whom he taught with authority.

    2. The New Testament Church became to being through the four Gospels of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, these four were witnesses, of Jesus's Divine teachings. Jesus, he told them he will send his Holy Spirit, { John 14:26}, { Acts 2:4}, { Acts 4:31}

    Here again, the Holy Spirit enabled them to perform miracles and teach others {also the Gentiles} about the Kingdom of God. { Acts 10:19}

    3. There are true Believers who worship God, in truth and in the Spirit, for God is a Spirit so we must worship in the Spirit. This of course is after believing that God sent his Son, as the word says, that whoever believes in Jesus as our Savior must be Baptized in his real name, as the Hebrew Bible instructs us, his name is "Yashua" He is a newborn person, therefore, this born-again person will also receive the Holy Spirit. {Psalm32:8}, { John 16:13}, { john 3:5}. I hope that these verses from the Bible, will help you understand the Importance the Holy Spirit has had in the life of Jesus in his teachings, the New Testament brought about by the four gospels of the Apostles, and to our very own lives today. This is a wonderful promise given to us who believe in the Savior, { Numbers 23;19} God Bless you.

    Sister GiGi:

    I never said nor believed you complained to administration, others read your comments and can react to those comments.

    We are ALL the BODY of Christ, by the resurrection of Christ, ALL have become ONE, even our prodigal sons, even though they have not AS YET come to that truth, they will be DRAWN back to CHRIST.

    God speaks of things that ARE NOT, as if they ALREADY ARE.

    John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I WILL draw ALL MEN unto me.

    Genesis 18:14 ... at the TIME APPOINTED, I will return to thee, according to the TIME of LIFE ....

    John 14:6 I am the way, the truth and the LIFE.

    God Bless YOU

    Amen Chris.

    I see it as you do concerning the indwelling of the spirit upon the people of Israel. It was different than the way he indwells the Church.

    In the Old Testament God often spoke in types, allegorically and similitudes. They also didn't have spiritual understanding of the new covenant ministry and the Church.

    We see this evident when the Lord was talking to Nicodemus and also the Samaritan woman at the Well.

    They had no idea what being born from above meant or what worshiping in truth and in spirit meant.

    They didn't have the Holyspirit IN them as you see mentioned in Ezekiel 36:26-27

    "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

    And I will put my spirit within you, AND "CAUSE" YOU TO WALK IN MY STATUTES, AND YE SHALL KEEP MY JUDGMENTS, AND DO THEM.

    (He will cause them to walk in his statutes,) "That hadn't taken place yet "

    The death burial and resurrection hasn't taken place yet, Therefore the baptism of the Holyspirit that quickens the believer wasn't a part of their ministry and wasn't meant to be. If it had been part of their ministry righteousness would have come by the law.

    We would be under the Leviticus priesthood and Christ wouldn't be our High Priest.

    The spirit would come upon them to minister but It seems there was a certain season for certain things he would reveal to them.

    Also God spoke to them by prophets he would anoint, today he speaks to us by his Spirit that teaches us the things of Christ as mentioned in John 14:26. (Church things!) "Something that wasn't revealed to them at that time".

    Without the Holyspirit they would not have had an blood tipped ear to receive them. John 16:12-14.

    Note;

    I'm not digging into eschatology but focusing on Israel and their sacrifices and the law, what God required of them and what thet put their trust in.

    I'm fully in agreement with you.

    God bless you.

    God bless.

    John 14:15.

    AN ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

    "IF YOU "LOVE" ME KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS".

    Let's put some emphasis on Love for a chance.

    What manner of Love is this?

    Is it not agape?

    Can you generate this height of Love on your own?

    Is it not a fruit of the Spirit given once one IS saved?

    SO WHAT IS THIS SAYING?

    To get the context you have to pick it up the from John 13 on through John 14:23.

    John 13:34-35.

    "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

    BY THIS SHALL ALL MEN KNOW THAT YE ARE MY DISCIPLES, if ye have love one to another.

    Jesus taught that those who follow Him will show love for the brothern ( John 13:12-15, 34).

    That is the primary sign of faith to the outside world ( John 13:35). Here, he indicates that obedience to His command is the primary sign of our love for Him.

    A person cannot claim to know Christ and hate other Christians

    1 John 4:20.

    Proceeding from John 14:15 on thru John 14:16-23 Jesus is telling them he was going and sending them the Holyspirit that will guide them.

    Throughout this section, a person's love for Christ, their obedience to His teachings, and the indwelling of the Spirit are intertwined

    All the law hangs on this.

    Matthew 23:37-40.

    AND THE MINISTRATION OF THE LAW COULDN'T PRODUCE THIS.

    2 Corinthians 3:8-11 concedes that regeneration by the gift of the Holyspirit in those who believe in Christ exceeds the ministration of the law.

    "How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

    For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

    For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of THE GLORY THAT EXCELLETH.

    FOR IF THAT WHICH IS DONE AWAY WAS GLORIOUS, MUCH MORE THAT WHICH REMAINETH IS GLORIOUS.

    It's the fruit that is on exhibit.

    That's what James is also saying in his letter.

    Also see

    Titus 3:4-8.

    God bless.

    The only thing that matters is what the Bible says.

    You might be misleading people by de-emphasizing some verses while focusing narrowly on other verses.

    "If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15 KJV

    Why would Jesus say this if people automatically obeyed? Jesus didn't say if you love me you will automatically keep my commandments. He didn't say if you responded to an altar call once when you were 12 you will automatically love me and automatically keep my commandments. Over and over He challenged is followers (Christians) to mature and grow. It's a choice. It takes effort. Many followers in the Bible messed up on occasion and chose sin instead of obedience and had consequences. Those who claim God is going to serve you and that you don't have to put in any effort whatsoever are misleading others with a falsehood. The Bible says we are to become slaves to righteousness. Slaves. Not everyone is willing to live the life as a Christian. Many will cry Lord, Lord in the end assuming sitting on the couch was enough to get in the gate. Loving and obeying does not automatically mean someone is trying to earn salvation, we hear this straw man argument all the time. But genuinely following Jesus and transforming takes intentional effort. Reading the Bible reveals many examples of this.

    Have a nice day.

    Isa 53, Now as then, Christ walks the same path as He did then, but in Spirit, He is despised, rejected of men, we esteem Him not, He's experiences the sorrow & grief in mankind unbelief of Him by His appearances in Spirit within our hearts. He has no form of comeliness that we such desire Him, meaning; the Word spoke in our hearts is Christ in Spirit, that Word is God, John 1:1; His first works within us John 16:8 Titus 2:11,12 When we reject His reproof of correction, through unbelief, His words has finds no place in our hearts, we hidden our faces from Him, & run to other things to drown out His Voice, the tender motions of Holy Spirit in His proffering of salvation.

    It is indeed Christ within conscience, the mystery Col 1:26-28 Jesus said to the Jews, John 5:39 as then now, God is a Spirit, we must come to Him in & by His Spirit John 14:6 When Jesus said; Matt 11:25 He wasn't stating the Scriptures, Pastors, bible studies etc; but to Him personally. The Scriptures are profitable as we honor them in their right place, the words of God, but not God the Word, who was in the beginning with God, before the Scriptures were. The true glory & honor of the Scriptures is they give us a true testimony of Him, & that they point us to His 2nd coming in Spirit. Hebrews 9:28 John 16:13 OT promise Isa 54:13 it is only by receiving Him in His Spirit appearance within our hearts/conscience that we receive Him, that He may work out His great salvation for us. There is no other way! John 14:6 For in the working of the operations of faith, Rom 10:17 which is in Rom 10:8 we come into relationship & fellowship with Him who suffered so on our behalf. We experience 1John 1:1-3 in the work of redemption. Trust & love is increased as we grow in Grace.

    4. 1 John 1:7-10; We all come into the world as miserable sinners Rom 3:23; but with the coming of Christ/Grace we don't have to stay that way, Rom 3:24; through the obedience of faith in the Light of His Countenance that shine in our heart, 7-10 explains the operations of Grace appearance, John 16:8 bringing these to seeds into judgment within conscience, if we then say we have not sin, we deceive ourselves ,make Him a liar & the Truth/Word is not engraft within us. But if received, He cleanses us from all unrighteousness, iniquity, transgression & sin, Titus 2:14; By receiving His convictions, is the Power received, & everyone that 1John 3:3; is experience. So there a time when He finds us in sin, & a time that He cleanse from all sin.

    5. Jude 1:21-24; ; Keeping yourselves in the love of God/ is by keeping His commandments, 1John 2:3-6; John 14:24; the Light of His Countenance that shine in our hearts

    & in doing so He will keep you from falling, present you faultless! This is obviously from sinning against Him.

    Dear Charlie,

    You missed Richard's point markedly. He was referring to two or more gathered together to pray, knowing that when we pray in the name of Jesus, the Father answers our prayers ( John 14:13-14)

    Friend;

    Jesus came not to abrogated the Law, but to fulfill it, Matt 5:17-20; & all who follow Him in the regeneration fulfills it too! For He is John 14:6; He leads us in the same path that He, Himself walk in, opening up the new & living Way for us, that we may 1 John 2:3-7; fulfilling all the requirements of the Law.

    How is all of this accomplish? By picking up the Cross & following Christ in the regeneration unto the new birth. Both the dying indeed unto to sin by Grace appearance Rom 6:18,19; & by becoming partakers 2 Pet 1:4; through the exercising of the Gal 5:22-25; by Grace appearance. For He who show us what sin is & to be deny, also show us what righteousness is & how it is to be exercised. Rom 13:14;

    This is what the Law couldn't do Gal 3:21-27; through the weakness of the flesh sold under sin, it couldn't restore us to the Life of God that we were created in. But the faith Rom 10:17; which is in Rom 10:8; that Paul preached could. Gal 3:2; obedience leads to ever increasing measure of His Spirit, an enduement of His Spirit of Grace, "Power".

    The Law could not make us partakers of the Divine Nature, which against such there is no law, only with the coming of John 1:14; John 1:17; could this be fulfilled in us, through Christ by the Spirit in the new birth. Ephesians 2:15,16; He abolish it, by fulfilling it in His flesh, & so must all who are His, bringing us unto the new creature. Col 3:10;

    "For when there was no one to help, not one to open the seals, Rev 5:1-5; to give knowledge, to direct the course of poor man's recovery, He came in the greatness of his love and strength; and though clothed with the infirmities of a mortal man, being within fortified with the almightiness of an immortal God, He traveled through all the straits and difficulties of humanity, and first, of all others, Hebrews 5:8; trod the un-trodden path to blessedness. Quote; No Cross, No Crown by William Penn"

    Jesus has left nothing undone for us, we must follow His pattern.

    Thanks for sharing your life saving testimony, God does miracles John 14:13. Amen

    Thanks Chris,

    I feel we are much closer in agreement than we may think. I'm sure you'll agree we have always needed God's laws to live peaceably, and safely. This has not changed throughout the ages. Without Laws, societies break down and self destruct. Over the centuries, many societies laws have been based to some degree on God's 10 Commandments.

    It is true that in the OT man had God's Commandments/Laws and could not refrain from sin on their own, which resulted in Death. Thanks to Jesus and the Cross, we are under God's New Covenant, and per the scripture we have those same laws written in our bodies and minds. What is different now is we have the Holy Spirit to help us refrain from sin in a New Way that was not available before Jesus. Same Laws - New way to follow the same commands - which will result in Life Now - instead of Death previously. And we are not accomplishing this on our own. and it is only by the Holy Spirit in us that can save us from Death. Amen

    John 14:26

    "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

    Let me put it another way, would the Holy Spirit guide us - to not follow God's 10 Commandments? I don't think so, and I think we should be able to agree that if we are being led by God's Holy Spirit we will be motivated to follow God's 10 Commandments. Chris, I would like you to answer one question. Please tell me what Commandments(s) from God's 10 Commandments we are not required to follow now under the New Covenant? And why.

    OT promises, Isa 54:13 Jeremiah 31:33-34; confirmed in NT, Hebrews 8: 10,11,12; why is it that God doesn't remember their sins? Because He has cleanse them of all unrighteousness & has endue them with His Spirit & they sin no more. Jeremiah 32:39-41; The cause & effect of God teaching us Himself, & that by His Spirit John 14:13,14,15; with all His Heart & all His Soul; says the LORD, Selah.

    Consider; it was not until the 14th or 15th century that these things became widely available, & then it was only to the learned & privilege. The Apostasy that the Apostles spoke of was already at work in their day & came into full maturity with the Roman Catholic's Rev17:2 for then the world was Rome. Daniel 2:40

    Who taught Moses, etc; even Jesus John 7:15; the disciples etc; one educated, Paul & he Philippians 3:7,8,9,10; he relied on Philippians 1:19; What about all the people in time that didn't get a chance to learn how to read or were in the remote regions of the earth were the Scriptures were unavailable? Or hear the Good New being preach in the power of the Holy Ghost? His words are, "from the least to the greatest". His Spirit is able to reach them to the uttermost, even the blind, deaf, dumb-mentally, etc; Jeremiah 32:27;

    Chris, everyone; consider these things. God is just, He's not going to condemn someone for something they did not know. Rom 1:17, which comes by Rom 10:17; which is in Rom 10:8; continue Rom 1:19; & that by His 1Cor 2:10; He's that Light that admonish you in the car, follow Him & He will lead ALL that do to the Father. He's the Treasure 2Cor 4:7 that's opens our understanding to the knowledge & the glory of God, it's the face of Jesus Christ.

    You ask what define as sin? Rom 14:23;

    Yes, I do honor and try to follow God's Sabbath Day. It is one of Gods Commandments. Please also notice God tells us specifically: To Remember to keep the Sabbath Day.

    Exodus 20:8

    "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy."

    When God instructs us To Remember Something why would we want to forget this?

    Exodus 20:9

    "Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:"

    He instructs us to rest one day! Is one day too much to ask? I don't know why so many Christians make such a big deal about following Gods Commands.

    Ryan was asking about fishing or golfing. Fishing can be considered relaxation, if he is not a commercial fisherman doing it for a living. His fishing could be a way to relax and unwind from his work week. He would also have the perfect time to pray, give thanks for the time to spend in a relaxing manner enjoying all that God created around while waiting for that next fish to bite.. Golfing could be considered the same, as a relaxing pastime, maybe giving God thanks for the opportunity to breath in some fresh air, get some healthy exercise for the body and so these activities would not be considered work, but a relaxing pastime.

    God simply instructs us to refrain from our work for one day! Is one day too much to ask? I don't know why so many Christians make such a big deal about following Gods Commands.

    You state it is a Jewish Sabbath and you don't follow it. Well Jesus is Jewish, do you follow Jesus? Jesus also asks you the following:

    John 14:15

    "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

    Remember, Christs followers are Jewish and Gentile, and we are all treated the same now, One Church, ONE GOD!

    To Josiah Skiff;

    the life of youth is energetic, lively & spirited, there's much hope & aspirations towards one's future. Its appears you have much going for you. I have notices from observation of others & my own experience that wisdom was much lacking in youth vigor.

    I would ask you to consider these words, bring them to your mentors to receive a godly counsel Proverbs 11:14

    The definition of a Christian in its simplist & purest form is to be Christ-like, He's John 14:6; ask yourselve is this becoming a Navy Seal something Jesus would do? Believes follow Christ in the regeneration & are change empowering them to Luke 6:27-31;

    When the disciples want to call down thunder from heaven to destroy lives; Jesus replied Luke 9:55,56; denoting it the influence of spirit of darkness to kill & destroy lives. James 4:1,2,3,4; escape the corruption that is in this world through lust & 2Cor 6:17;

    I would encourage you to lay down your weapons Isa 2:4 & become a soldier of the Cross. 2Cor 10:14; Marry your sweet heart & live 2Cor 5:15;

    David

    "what I believe the Bible declares"

    This is just the point David,I've been making all alone. Faith does not come by reading, studying, pastor preaching, Sunday school, etc: Its comes by Rom 10:17; this is the faith that Paul preached, speaking to you personally within your heart. These others maybe good execises to support & encourage if there inspired by Holy Spirit. But it cannot stand alone or take the place of having a personal relationship with Jesus, & this is what God has set His heart upon. John 14:21,23,26; John 17:21,22,23; Our faith is cannot be base on other people experinences, though ever be so helpful. In the work of regeneration we come to 1John 1:1-4 Here John is speaking of His Spirit appearance within our hearts, the Life/Light was manifested, Grace appearance. As we diligently hearken to His still small Voice we come to experiential knowledge of the Lord, 1John 5:20; "we have heard, seen with our eyes & have looked upon & our hands have handled of the Word of Life, spiritually, in this working out of our salvation. Hebrews 9:28; 2Cor 4:6,7; that the excellency to the Power to understand & receive the things of God, is of God & not of ourselves. John 3:27; We come to know His mind/will & good pleasure. Its what King David experience in Psalm 119:130; it what made him more wiser than his teacher Psalms 119:99; it was his Psalm 119:105; Psalm 123:2; Psalm 59:9; Psalm 69:3 & he commands his soul to wait upon the Lord Psalm 62:5; its call in Scripture the Key of David, Rev 3:7; He alone can Rev 5:2,5; Isa 22:22: He is the Treasure we have in these earthen vessel. Col 1:26,27,28; 1 Cor 2:12;

    Blessing to you, you have a great desire & a zeal David.

    The questions I posted and the scripture after them were in my understanding were answering the questions, sorry if that did not make sense or if they do not answer them for you.

    Was Jesus baptized with the Spirit during His water baptism or before? It was not before it was after Jesus was water baptized and come up from the water He was then anointed with the Holy Spirit.

    Luke 4:1 Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit and the Spirit led, meaning to lead, bring, carry so the Spirit led or carried Jesus to the wilderness. It may be similar to when Philip was whisk away, Acts 8:39

    John 3:34 "for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him" Measure means limited so Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit with no limits like what we see in 1 Cor. 12 the diversities of gifts no one received them all, with Jesus there was no limit to the power of the Holy Spirit.

    Acts 2:32-33 My understanding is this part of Peter's explanation of what people were seeing. Jesus made the promise that when He went back to the Father He would ask the Father to send the Holy Ghost/Spirit to them, Luke 24:49 John 14:26 Acts 1:4-8. They were seeing God's answer to Jesus's request to send the Holy Ghost/Spirit. I hope that makes sense.

    The Father could not send the Holy Ghost/Spirit until Jesus was glorified John 7:39 and that was after He was resurrected, Jesus did not need the Holy Ghost/Spirit after He received His glorified body. When the Holy Ghost/Spirit left Jesus and went back to God in heaven if it was at Jesus's death or when, I do not know.

    I hope this all made sense thank you for your reply.

    God bless,

    Hey S Spencer,

    I do not consider myself part of a group other than the body of Christ, it is just me. We should be brothers and sisters without labels sharing our understanding of scripture and inspiring each other to study for the truth and I feel we have done that so far.

    The Messiah/Christ, the son of God, the second man, our Lord who came from heaven, the last Adam sent by the Father to do the will of the Father. Matt. 11:25-27 Hebrew 2:9-14

    Was Jesus filled with the Holy Ghost/Spirit? When Jesus was baptized what happened? None of the gospels clearly state that Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit before His baptism Luke 2:40 is close but not affirmative. Why would Jesus need to be full of the Holy Ghost/Spirit? Philippians 2:5-8. Was Jesus the Messiah the Anointed One? Luke 4:18 Acts 10:38

    The Holy Ghost/Spirit descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, Matt. 3:16-17 Luke 3:21-22 Mark 1:10 John 1:32. God put His Spirit upon him. Matt. 12:15-21 The Spirit remained on Him John 1:33

    The Holy Ghost/Spirit led Jesus up into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. Matt. 4:1 Mark 1:12. Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost and was led by the Spirit. Luke 4:1. Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit Luke 4:14.

    Jesus did miracles by the Holy Ghost/Spirit, Luke 5:17. He cast out devils by the Holy Ghost/Spirit, the Spirit of God Matt.12:28. Also John 14:10 (by the Holy Ghost/Spirit)

    The scriptures were fulfilled Luke 4:18-21. The Holy Spirit was given to Jesus without measure John 3:34.

    John's water baptism was as you said, God's anointing of the Holy Ghost/Spirit Matt.4:17 Mark 1:11 Luke 3:22.

    I know you travel, so like Roy Rogers, happy trails to you, until we meet again. Showing my age, I will send more on the rest of part 1 and part 2.

    God bless,

    Does this spirit control the world to this day, and did they use the state to torcher and murder Jesus Christ? Revelation 2:9s bankers, Ashkenazi, Zionists, corporate owners and heads, government corporation owners etc. Luke 22:43-71 and Chapter 23, Using 1 Timothy 6:10 etc. Why does using a strongs concordance for the word "god" in Genisis 1 and 2 say Elohym and not God all mighty or other name used for Jehovah God of heaven? The word magistrates are gods, but Lucifer is a god? Did we fall for the bate and get trapped on earth that is under his control? And why does the world not see the divining serpent in English better known as the Jesuit controlled Vati can in Latin with all her secret societies (Tapped Freemasonry etc.). The Latin to English translators online were all altered around March 2023 to hide this information? Her priests praise Lucifer and the dawning of his creation (the earth) every Easter Sunday on the first day of the week when the Sabbath is on the seventh day of the week. The large alter gives hidden messages in symbolic form. In John 14:15 red letters, Jesus is saying If ye love me, keep my commandments. So, grace and the law (Commandments) because we love God and want to follow Him and not one or the other? So, starting to understand but need more information, thank you, I know that this is a lot to figure out.

    Adam,

    I think what you stated in this last comment regarding James 2, John 14:15 and Matt 7:21 is exactly what I have been saying.

    Hi Adam

    1 Corinthians 3:13-15. is speaking of the same judgment as

    2 Corinthians 5:10. Just in more detail.

    Every man's work shall be made manifest: FOR THE DAY SHALL DECLARE IT, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

    If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

    If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: BUT HE HIMSELF SHALL BE SAVED; yet so as by fire.

    The good and bad mentioned here is the good and bad works, Not good and bad people. That's why it says every man's WORKS shall be made manifest.

    I do agree with you about the fruit and what you declared in the other post as you mentioned John 14:15.

    Good works is a product of fruit barring.

    And fruit barring is a product of being connected to the vine.

    If we take that section further we would develop a context that

    suggests Christ is talking about a condition of a person already saved.

    He's not giving a requirement to get saved.

    John 14:15-23. If ye love me, keep my commandments.

    And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you....

    He's making a contrast between those who love and obey him and the world who don't.

    ...and will manifest myself to him. Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

    Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

    This is a description of one saved not a requirement to be saved.

    If you are saved YOU WILL LOVE HIM, everything you do he causes it.

    good night and God bless.

    James 2 explains this.

    John 14:15

    Grace saves, not works. Good works are the fruit of a genuine follower of Christ. Without works or fruit one might question that person's walk. And without obedience to Christ is that person a real Christ follower? Some fall into this category: Matthew 7:21

    It sounds like you're conflating being born again with salvation. Does the Bible say these occur at the exact same time? If so, please share those verses.

    "If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15 KJV

    Jesus said this. Jesus emphasized obedience and keeping His commandments. Those who are so opposed to obeying Jesus should probably be afraid of the upcoming judgment, because someone who doesn't obey Jesus might not be a Jesus follower.

    "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 7:21 KJV

    How can anyone believe the Bible, read this Bible verse and then believe obeying God is bad?

    "But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him." Luke 12:5 KJV

    Christ: Real and imaginary

    Introduction

    Psalm 50:21 warns of judgment coming for those who think that God is just like them; i.e. a God of their own imaginations or choosing. I have given many posts in regard to understanding correct doctrine; along with the admonition to know God not just know a lot about Him. John 6:45 explains from Isaiah 54:13 that we or "they" shall "all be taught by God."

    In addition to experiential knowledge the Holy Spirit in the church age lives within every believer; in fact that implies each member of the Trinity or Triune God ( John 14:23). This has allowed us to be the Temple of God now ( 2 Cor. 6:16); which also mentions the "living God" in the verse; yet another evidence that "soul sleep" is a farce. God is not a God of the dead but the living ( Luke 20:38); which also mentions the word "all" as to who lives in Him; for all who are believers.

    It is easy as believers to be one sided in this matter; and assume that the most dangerous deception is false religion (or atheism). In this; we also are ignorant of the fact that Satan wishes to steal God's Glory; hence denying the Father and Son in Spirit; but also magnifying himself as though he IS God ( 1 John 2:23; 2 Thess. 2:4). False Christs; of course are rampant as a sign of the last days. ( Matt. 24:24). This is not even the greatest danger; what is are those who are in the midst of the true believers where the Word of God is preached; somehow comforting themselves in some warped version of who Christ is to them personally. "Remember Lot's wife" is an excellent tract by Chapel Library in Pensacola which I am recommending for this theme in particular as well as for all their tracts that show the "Grace Gospel" (all of Christ; none of us basically). Scripture makes it clear the fate of Lot's wife who turned back ( Gen. 19:26). The tract makes it clear that she had unusually privileges being able to be the only married woman in Sodom who got to hear the Word of God.

    The church beyond five senses: the spiritual realm (cont)

    Continuing the thought of the invisible realm (see John 20:29); we begin to understand the promises of God's protection of His saints ( Psalm 91:11; Isaiah 52:12) through the angels; we see how to correctly "bind and loose" ( Matt. 16:19); how to align more closely to what Christ is interceding in our behalf in seeking His will ( Heb. 7:25); and of course see those in bondage loosed from Satan's grip ( Luke 4:18-19) taken from Isaiah 61:1.

    Those who love Him keep His commandments ( John 14:21) and originally found in Deuteronomy 7:9. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom ( Proverbs 9:10 but found many other places in scripture).

    For a case study; let us examine 1 Corinthians 14:22-25 where we have tongues and prophecy as applying to unbelievers in one verse then switch to believers in the next verses. This means that evidence of the power of God needs to be present AND a clear message relatable to the sinner or saint present given. In reality there cannot be a supernatural manifestation of the Spirit WITHOUT a piercing of the soul ( Hebrews 4:12) that is of course accompanied by the Gospel as the rest of the verse indicates. It also shows how a church must be corrected as He chastises all His own (found further on in Hebrews 12 verse 6).

    The fact that some spiritual activity is occuring isn't evidence that God is at work; it could be demons. The fact that this was still a place where His Spirit was at work was evident in the fact that Paul's severe discipline had results; and that right quick (as the Brits like to say). This is clear from chapter 7 of 2 Corinthians. As I started off this discourse; I mentioned the Ephesians. They were threatened with total removal of their candlestick in Revelation 2. Therefore; being dead would be worse than immature; even with all the correct doctrines and outer actions; ceremonies; etc.

    John 16:8 shows how the true Spirit of God works.

    When were you saved? and what were you saved from?

    You were saved from DEATH.

    The wages of sin is death.

    You died on the cross; with Christ, you were raise a NEW CREATION, with Christ.

    You were saved at the resurrection.

    You were GIFTED with the LIFE of CHRIST, being raise together.

    No one can lose their salvation, eternal life (salvation), being raised with Christ, is a gift of God; Chris is THE RESURRECTION, given to man, 2000 years ago, it was finished at the cross, nothing can to be added, nor anything taken away, God's GRACE was poured out on his creation, Christ took upon himself the full WRATH of God, we had part in that wrath by dying on the cross with Christ, yet we didn't have to physically endue that suffering.

    The kingdom of God is not a place (heaven); but a condition, being ONE (in the presence) with the Father and Son.

    God is in a physical PLACE; HE is the LIFE of ALL MEN, ye are the BODY of Christ.

    Christ's SECOND coming was in the BODY of all men, raise together; Christ is still on this earth in THE FLESH, YOU are the Body of Christ.

    This mortal shall PUT ON IMMORTALITY .....

    1 Timothy 6:16 Christ ONLY hath IMMORTALITY .....

    Ye are the BODY of Christ .....

    Proverbs 16:6 BY MERCY and TRUTH iniquity is purged ....

    John 14:6 I AM the way, the TRUTH, and the LIFE ....

    There is ONLY ONE LIFE; Christ, ye are the BODY of Christ.

    God bless you.
