SEEN here Means UNDERSTAND Not seen as in SIGHT. AS we use that word in our daily life as in ( do you see what i,m saying ? ). He did not mean that he is GOD , because He already said in MARK ch 12 v 29 ( Hear O ISRAEL, The first of all commandmants is ,the lord OUR GOD is one lord ). JESUS IS NOT GOD , but he is one of the MIGHTIEST MESSENGER,s OF GOD .
John 14:12 This verse still disturbs me to comprehend,which works does he mean? Is teaching,making miracles, or he meant somthing else? Which works can I perform greater than him? Help me p'se.
This verse was teaching a lot of things and the things I grab is ask any thing in my name and it shall be given unto u, what a Love. The love of God is so strong dat it have show us his word and what so ever we want, it is in the book of life, even the points we need during our prayers, is there to use with. I think Jesus meant everything he did. Not just what he preached. Because he said greater works that he did (not say). The works of Jesus isn't just his messages but includes everything he did on earth (his messages, his lifestyle, his signs and wonders, his miracles, etc)
Jn 14:23 Begins by being informative and concludes by revealing Gods perculiar v.i.p promise for the individual that would attain � Gods approved standard of righteousness and holiness in Christ It truly takes Gods grace and revelation for an individual to attain such a level under the sun.
If we sin, we are not Christ's, we are the devil's. Those who love the Lord, will keep His commandments. ( John 14:15)We are to walk in the newness of life, which means our old ways - the life of sin and iniquity, are put to death by Jesus's death. We are now resurrected and living a Holy Ghost filled life of righteousness made possible by the death and resurrection of Christ. Anybody who still sins and says they are Christ's is deceived and still bound by the devil. Now the Word of God is powerful...mighty...sharper than a two-edged sword..it cuts to the marrow. Don't be deceived. There is no way to continue in sin and truly have Jesus.
i am going through a sad and disturbing period in my life and this verse is helping me get through it...i just keep repeating: "let not your heart be troubled...neither let it be afraid"...thanx so much!

@Akanimoh Well by that logic your'e also implying that the holy spirit is a male. I mean God has angels, that he uses but why is this holy spirit any different from angels? The holy spirit it God's active force.
Its plain and simple, loving jesus is keeping his commands. You have to believe in him coz hes the light,the way and the only way to salvation. Keep his commands and he will send you a helper the holy spirit.
John Chapter 14 verses 2,3 and 18 I find Jesus here in these verses promises us, all the believers and the non believers alike should expect if we do the works what Jesus is guiding us to do. In verse 6 he is also telling us nobody will go to the father but by through him. So the teaching here and the way it should be understood is CARRY YOUR OWN CROSS.
In my humble opinion the greater works "we" will do that Yeshua is talking about is when "we" the true house of Israel reunite as one. Since Yeshua walked this earth Christian have forgot the 7 feasts to the Lord and the 7th day Sabbath while the Jews have denied the Yeshua/Jesus the Messiah. There will come a day when these 2 house's reunite. When Christian will observe the feast and the Jews will accept Jesus. This is the story of the prodigal son. These are the greater works we will do. This is the next and last reformation before His return and it is happening now. Come be part of it in Yeshua's name I pray.

HE says it in plain text for US to see .. I really think you people who claim to believe should go do some good in the world. Go raise someone from the grave, go heal the million of people with cancer, go do any thing but sit around and judge other people. If you really believe the bible do some thing beside making up reasons why you can't do what the bible clearly states a believer can do.

For me the personal assurance spoken of by Jesus Himself in John 14 is the essence of the new life promise to all who believe in him and obey. May His mercy and grace abide with us always.

I have always believed this was talking to us as believers giving us comfort and assurance that He is preparing a place for us in His heavenly realm. From where do you get this interpretation, or idea that this is NOT the Church to whom He speaks? Clarify my confusion.
We are the temple of the living GOD. Jesus Christ is the head of the Church and we are the body. The Head and the body are one; therefore we are in CHRIST and CHRIST is in us.
