John 11:44 is kind of humorous to me. When I picture in my mind Lazarus coming out of the grave, and he is wrapped in little 3 inch bandages from his foot to his neck, and then he has got a towel over his head, and he is coming out like one of those mummies you see in the movies. He can hardly walk. He is bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a towel. Jesus said unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Basically, Jesus is just telling them to unwrap him and let him go.

None of us on this side the grave can know exactly what awaits us, but the Bible does give some glimpses into the LORD's wonderful plan for us. I can suggest a few to consider. We know the body remains in the grave and eventually returns to the dust until resurrection day. 1 Corinthians 15 is a great study on the particulars of the resurrection. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 speaks of those that "sleep in Jesus" in order that we may be comforted. David said of his child in 2 Samuel 12:23, "I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.". Jesus, in John 11:25-26, tells us that by believing in him we will never die (spiritually that is). Jesus' story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16 indicates a state of consciousness on the part of the deceased. In John 14, Jesus says he's going to prepare a place for us in order to receive us there to be with him. In Revelation 6:9-11, there is an interesting portrayal of martyred souls under the altar in heaven. Jude tells of Enoch's prophecy regarding the Lord's return with ten thousands of his saints.

The Apostles creed (I believe) is not in the Bible. The Vatican wants us to believe they were responsible for it.

The Greek churches as well as Rome hammered out the Creeds.

    Part 3 NICENE CREED:

And I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father [and the Son]; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets.

    [ John 15:26, John 16:13, John 14:26]

And I believe one holy catholic (catholic means universal, not Rome)

    and apostolic Church.

    [ Ephesians 4:5]

I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

    [ Acts 19:4, Acts 22:16, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Mark 1:8, John 11:25, 1 Peter 1:3, Revelation 20:6]

Churches use the Latin word Rapture, (that word is not in the Bible) when they are talking about the resurrection.

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

I don't know what you mean! When we die and face Jesus, the decision is not ours if we are going to heaven or hell! That is up to Jesus and God! Our name is either in the Lambs Book Of Life, or it isn't! It is however, our decision while we are alive on this earth! It is the greatest & most important decision we ever make! Choose JESUS!!

The first 1st letter In the Bible is I. Also the first Roman numeral is I. I can be spelled ,Eye . The Eye of GOD is always watching, always hearing always seeing always loving always caring. Ecclesiastes 11:7 has 2 parts . Part A " Then shall dust return to the earth as it was ". Part B "And the spirit return into GOD who gave it." All will return to GOD.

To go to Heaven, earthy creatures must be resurrected. 1 Corinthians 15:42. The bible mentions a number of resurrections. 1 Kings 17:17-24 2 Kings 4:32-37 13:20-21 Luke 7:11-15 8:41-42 49-56 John 11:38-44 Acts 9:36-42 20:7-12 However, everyone of them involved humans, not animals.

to serve the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is to accept the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made Calvary to pay for our sin. to accept Jesus Christ is to have elevating life John 11:25-26 . to not accept Him is Death.

We need to heed ...while it's still day! we will by edifying the body and by witnessing to the lost. this chapter shows that there is a resurrection and also a separation from God... John 9:4 there is a time when no man can work.
  • Getto John on John 11 - 5 years ago
It may have happened, but the Bible is a metaphor of how we're to spend time on earth. There's glory with God, here and in heaven. On earth there is trouble and floundering, doubt and disgrace. And Rome gave up on a reunion with Jesus. So why wait for his return any longer. God is who I believe, not man! His word brings life to the dead, after a time of trial of faith. On earth, troubles!!

(25-26 are great example of the power of GOD as it relates to life, death, resurrection from the dead;) 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. believest thou this?

Compare Jesus raising Lazurus from the dead to us winning souls for Christ. He told the people who loved Lazurus you remove the stone, share the Gospel....that allowed Jesus entrance to speak life unto Lazurus. Then after that he told them to loose him, the bonds that still held him after receiving life. As the church is to lift up, build up and edify those who have come to life in Christ.

I believe that Jesus is real with all my heart and soul. I believe he died for our sins. I love him and I want to be with Him in paradise. I am ready for Him to come back and get His people. I hope His coming back is soon. I am tired of this sinful world and of meam spirited people that want to harm God's children. I am one of His children and I want to be with Him. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Our LORD Jesus wept because He saw Mary and the Jews who came with her weeping. And also from Romans 12^15 we can clearly see that our Lord and Savior demonstrated that kind of empathy here. Thank you

All of those who have died, and believed in JESUS that HE is the SON of GOD though he is dead, yet shall live.
