I agree with Warren for the most part. Yet, I believe the unseen world should be taken literally, because I believe it to be as real as the air we breathe.

I truly think God wanted our attention by present and job trials and tribulation, no matter how hard satan try to distract destroy our lives that we should remain faithful and true to him... God is saying this is the way we ought to believe and trust in him no matter what situation we face in our lives...

This book is believed to be about a man Nehemiah and his love for God. Pay attention to what you read here; this is a book about the lengths that men will go to, in building walls and too separate ourselves from those whose opinion may differ from mine. This is an endless and hopeless endeavor to have God all to myself. This is what Satan wants to have God all to himself. Remember Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. Nehemiahs love for God is unquestionable; yet Nehemiah doesnt understand what true love for God is when compared to Satan. Satan is the embodiment of evil the Father of all lies (Satan came also among them) because in him is the perfection of Fear, Love, and Respect for God. So until we as men understand that it is our differences that make us whole in God we can never truly know what Love is.
Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
1 John 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also
This was Johns understanding Christ Jesus Doctrine.

In chapter one of Job verse five, Job prays for the sins of his sons. Is it all right to pray for a loved ones particular sin, even though you know they need to ask for forgiveness?
  • Hilton on Job 1:21 - 11 years ago
"The Lord gives": God, through Jesus, offers mankind salvation and redemption. i.e. He wants to give mankind eternal life.
"The Lord takes: God is willing take away the wages of sin if we accept the message of The Cross.

  • Dana Craig on Job 1 - 11 years ago
Looks like no matter how well you follow god's policies he can turn on you. Ten people killed who apparently didn't deserve their fate. Job lost everything yet behaved perfectly. I suppose job must have been a major irritation to Satan.By Daring god to prove that job was flawless and initiating the subsequent events Satan certainly got the last laugh.

My respond to Delories's Genesis Chapter 2 comment on 9/08/2013, 7:51am: In Matthew 3:7 and Mark 1:11 God said that Jesus is His beloved Son. In Isaiah 14:12 the one fallen from heaven was Lucifer, son of the morning. In Job 1:6 it's written that the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. But it's not written there that Satan is among God's son. Now in Romans 8:14 it says, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God". Therefore, God need not a wife and have sex like human beings to make children. In fact in Matthew 3:9 Jesus says, "And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham". So for God to create His own children is by spirit and not by flesh.

  • Jim wan on Job 1:6 - 11 years ago
Book of Matthew Chp 1 gives the genealogy of Jesus back to Adam who is then called the 'son of God'. Except for Jesus the others are not called 'sons of god'. Adam was the 'original'human-kind' created by God. The others (except Jsus)were procreations and decendents of that 'original'. Adam was to be thje 'King' over planet earth. Satan cunningly got Adam to willingly handover that kingship of the planet to him. Satan is now king/god of this world. Adam as the 'son of God' (Jesus is the Son)was to have been present at the heavenly conference instead Satan represented human-kind.
The 'sons of God' in attendance were not necessarily humans or angels but 'original beings' from unfallen worlds/dimendtions/worlds etc They were there to give progress reports on their respective mandates. Adam's was to'tend the garden of Eden and take dominion over the earth by 'multiply(ing) and be fruitful, to replenish and take dominion over the earth which was in chaos.

God loves us so much that He builds a hedge around us but there will be a time where He allows satan to come and test our love and faith in Him and in all that God expect us not to sin.

I TAKE THE BIBLE AS IT SAYS. SONS OF ,GOD, IS THE MEN THAT WORSHIP ,HIM,. I THINK IT TOOK PLACE ON THE EARTH. SATAN CAME AS A UNINVITED PARTY.BUT A LOT IS STILL LEFT TO SAY, THAT I CAN'T ANSWER. THANKS
  • Vireen on Job 1 - 11 years ago
About vs 6 Satan is no longer a son of God, he has already rebelled and has been put out.
Also I agree with RC comments, its not that Job wasn't weak our human like us, he was but he had tremendous faith not to curse God even though he couldn't understand why this was happening to him, because Job himself said he was upright, and these things happen basically to the unrighteous. But none the less, he did his amount of questioning an d lamenting.
Thank God for His faithfulness and understanding.
And Yes, satan accuses us before God, of course only those who profess Chirst. As is recorded in Zechariah 3. God wants faithful followers.
  • Stephanie on Job 1:1 - 11 years ago
The appointed day is their birthday. Job, did not think his children had sinned. He prayed and made sacrifices just in case they sinned. He did not want to leave anything to chance. Satan is/was a son of God. Just like we have good and bad children, God has a bad angel, but unlike us God can handle his business. Job never blamed God. When his wife tried to get Jog to curse/blame God, he told her to get behind me satan. There are times in most of our lives when we may feel, "I wish I was never born", but that does not mean we blame God for anything. Sometimes we are just plain tired of the fight, but, if we stay in Christ and keep the Faith He will renew our strength. Hallelujah!!! Job was an upright and perfect man. That was said by God himself, I have not seen where it is said Job was a strong man, never the less he was strong. Could you have bared those sores all over your body along with all your losses? This book of Job to me is FAITH, STRENGTH, HUMBLENESS, HUMILITY and a TESTIMONY all wrapped in one book. Thank You Jesus.

    @Barry Pierce,
Of course YES, because Angels always gather in the presence of God ( Job 1:6).
