    Jehovah God can forgive sins on the basis of the ransom sacrifice. When he does, God forgets in the sense that he will not remember those sins in order to punish again

    Verse 22. Something that has never happened before is being prophesied here. Before the new covenant can happen this "new thing " must happen. This verse is a prophesy of the miraculous birth of our Savior! "Woman " means a lady that is capable of bearing a child and "compass " means to do without, so a woman shall compass a man means that she will bear a child without a man.

    this simply means: the lord who does the impossibilities, he does what no man can do. Not even satan. The bible says the lord of host is his name, which mean the commander of the mightiest army that will will exist. That with him victory is gualanteed and sure thanks

    it's of the verse in the bible that gives hopes in believing in God. It shows that every person's sorrow takes God into assignment and there on receive strength and smiles. 'every grieved soul I have filled'

    It's awesome to know that God doesn't feel about us the way we sometimes feel about ourselves !!

    I am not a scholar of theology but my guess regarding the coming in of Rachel centers on the initial contract between Jacob and Laban. Jacob's wife was to be Rachel. Though Laban deceived Jacob, the contract remained in force. Only the length of labour changed. The zeal with which Jacob worked clearly testfies to this. Leah was accepted probably to avoid enemies on both sides. In that sense therefore, all Israel can be officially 'Rachel's children'.

    Comments on Galatians 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
    We know from 1John 3:4 that sin is the transgression of the law. When Christ died, he did away with the Law (the Old Covenant), and we entered a New Covenant ( Jeremiah 31:31, Hebrews 8:8). Now we are under Grace ( Romans 6:14).
    So, let me see if I understand this process of salvation correctly: (1) I hear the Word of God which tells me that He loves me ( John 3:16), and that He died for me though I broke no Law. (2) I accept that I am a sinner, even though the Law that would have condemned me does not exist anymore. (3) I receive Christ as my personal Savior, Who saved me from sins that actually dont exist, since I was born after Christ died and made the Law obsolete and of non-effect. (4) I get baptized and receive the Holy Spirit, and I am no longer under the Law, which was nailed to the cross. (5) Having received the Holy Spirit, I am now under grace. I am free from the Law, and basically I can do anything I want, since there is no more Law to condemn me. (6) Yes, it would be nice to express the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance etc. (verses 22, 23); but these are optional, because against such there is no law.
    Now, do the statements 1-6 make any sense? I know that many Christians think so. But, lets see: Perhaps they would have made sense if only Apostle Paul hadnt mentioned the works of the flesh: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like (and the list goes on): of the which I have also told you in time past, that THEY WHICH DO SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD (verses 19-21) Hey, what happened to grace? Weve already established that I cant keep the Law because the flesh is against the spirit ( Galatians 5:17). Even Apostle Paul says: For the good that I would, I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do ( Romans 7:19). Whats going on here? The sins mentioned above are transgressions of the Moral Laws that have been abolished, nailed to the cross, gone. Now you tell me that I cant inherit the Kingdom of God with all that love, sacrifice and grace? It seems to me that Apostle Paul is contradicting himself: or, is he? This chapter teaches that the Moral Laws were not included with the rest of the Mosaic Laws that ended at the cross, and that we still have to keep them. They were in effect when you and I were born, and are in effect today: we broke them, and this is why you and I are sinners in need of Christs forgiveness and redemption. But for sure, in this letter to Galatians Apostle Paul is talking about circumcision and other Ceremonial Laws fulfilled by Christ (verses 2, 3, 6, 11, 13). You just cant have it both ways! Brother R.R. came up with a good excuse: I cant memorize the Ten Commandments; therefore I dont need to keep them. But Apostle Paul disagrees; he says: I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me ( Philippians 4:13). Amen.

    This is real! The word of God is real. I know because I was once sinner and saint, slave and free, clean and unclean! God is trying to keep us clean and pure, so this is good still for today, in fact, it is a must to obey the law/or command of God, even for the good of life, or the truth of life. God sent Jesus Christ to fulfil the law and the prophets, not to diminish/or destroy them ( Matthew 5:17). But a new covenant has God the father made ( Jeremiah 31:31-34, Hebrews 8:7-13), and with God the son have he made it ( Hebrews 10:16)... A new covenant God the father made with us, but not to destroy the law and prophets!!

    What is the meaning of Jeremiah 31:22? How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? For the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, a woman shall compass a man.

    @Stan Unger,
    I googled your first post "God the Son in the Bible and there was a lot to read there.
    Also the same as for Trinity and Rapture being used in the Bible. As for your second post I found this to be helpful: Psalm 87:2-3 says, The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are said of you, O city of God. Occurring over 150 times in the Bible, the word Zion essentially means fortification. In the Bible, Zion is both the city of David and the city of God.
    As the Bible progresses, the word Zion transitions from referring primarily to a physical city to having a more spiritual meaning.
    The first mention of the word Zion in the Bible is 2 Samuel 5:7: Nevertheless, David captured the fortress of Zion, the City of David. Zion, therefore, was originally the name of the ancient Jebusite fortress in the city of Jerusalem. Zion came to stand not only for the fortress but also for city in which the fortress stood. After David captured the stronghold of Zion, Zion was then called the City of David ( 1 Kings 8:1; 1 Chronicles 11:5; 2 Chronicles 5:2). When Solomon built the temple in Jerusalem, Zion expanded in meaning to include the temple and the area surrounding it ( Psalms 2:6; 48:2, 11-12; 132:13). Zion was eventually used as a name for the city of Jerusalem, the land of Judah, and the people of Israel as a whole ( Isaiah 40:9; Jeremiah 31:12; Zechariah 9:13). The most important use of the word Zion is in a theological sense. Zion is used figuratively of Israel as the people of God ( Isaiah 60:14). The spiritual meaning of Zion is continued in the New Testament, where it is given the Christian meaning of God's spiritual kingdom, the heavenly Jerusalem ( Hebrews 12:22; Revelation 14:1). Peter refers to Christ as the Cornerstone of Zion: See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in Him will never be put to shame ( 1 Peter 2:6).

    One of my favorite verses in the bible. Time and time again it has given me hope when I have failed God...God loves his children and yearns for them when they fail, that is why we should NEVER GIVE UP!

    Verse 9 plainly state that ye have robbed god and even the nation - That the Priest Robbed the nation. This whole book of Mal is toward the Priest. Also read Jeremiah 31:31-36, I Corinthians 16:2. And even if tithes were a requirement Malachi Plainly states that 3:4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years. That they belong to the Jerusalem Temple and the church(s) need to send them accordingly as also noted in I Corinthians 16:2. This of the old ways. Mark 2:21 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment:...
