    Prayer Requests

I received Jesus as Lord and Savior, at home.

This is my comment: your beating heart is the Throne that was always meant to belong to the Lord, Jesus. Sometimes when our walk with him gets difficult, or we sin again,

It's usually because we put ourselves back on that Throne for a moment or until we realize it. Ask for forgiveness and put Jesus back onto the throne of your heart. Read 1 John 1:9

Start reading about who Jesus is, what he likes and dislikes; how he responded to questions people asked him, what he did, where he went; how and when he prayed, what he prayed for. He is how we are to conform our behaviors to, now.

I think it is helpful to move next to: 1 John, 2 John and 3 John (near the back of the Bible) next.

    For wisdom: Proverbs

For comfort & learn what God is like: Psalms

It's helpful to read 2-3 chapters a day. It's easier to follow stories and movement that way.

Learn how to use the SEARCH box on this website to access the search engine that will answer many of your questions and curiosity's.

The Gospel, is the virgin birth of Jesus, his life, his death on the cross for our sins; and his resurrection from the grave.

At Pentecost, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to all believers, to be their Teacher, Comforter, convicted when we fall in a ditch, and many more things He helps us with.

May the Lord guide you in your walk with him. Come back here often and we help all that we can.

    Corey,

Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

That's a promise. You call out to Him and cry out to Him for mercy and to save you, and He will do it, period!

John 1:12 says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"

Personally, I like to use the word receive instead of accept, as it says in John 1:12. To accept just means to mentally agree with what Christ did for you. A person must receive Jesus Christ!

Where do it tell how to accept Jesus Christ as your savior?

Jesse ,thanks so much for that ,you brought tears to my eyes ,the heart is deceitfull above all things and is desperately wicked ,who can know it ? We must try to know our own heart and recognise our own deceits ,we can fool each other ,we can fool ourselves but we cannot ever fool God ,he knows our end from our begining ,we all are as open books to him ,we must never forget exactly what we are ,i wont say what i know i am but its definately not good ,its a daily battle that we cant ever totally win but we musnt stop trying ,Christ has redeemed us and we are His but He does want us to be as much like Him as we possibly can ,the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak ,thanks again for your encouragement . Much love in Christ .

I started going on a female social media site for some girl company but there arent too many Christians on it thats for sure ! Thats stops right now ,thankyou again ,i needed your insightfull imput and you have helped clear my mind on a few things more i need to do ,may God continue to bless you .

Thank you Jesse for your honesty as well.

I so agree with you that after we are born again and saved by the Atoning Blood of Jesus all sins are wiped away and then when God looks upon us he sees Jesus in us. I too think about that day of the Lord and remember how the Lord told us every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that JESUS IS LORD! What a fearful day for the wicked but a glorious day for the Saints.

May God bless you as well, especially in these dark days we are in. Our faith will be tried like we have never experienced before and Jesus will carry us all through the storm. Stay faithful and do not fear and cave to the worlds demands. Fear God only not man.

Our sins are as the East is from the west . Jesus put them away . We should not be concerned about them . God forgives and forgets . And if there is any sin undelt with it needs to be confessed and put away so we can have peace and go on .

When Christ appears this corruption shall put on incorruption , we shall be changed .

We will see Jesus without sin . Our hope is to see him but certainly not in our sins .

When I see him I shall be changed to be like him , I shall love his appearing .

If sin was a problem I would dread meeting him .

But Jesus nailed it to his cross and rose from the dead and gives life to those that believe on his work .

Paul said reckon your self dead to sin and alive unto God . It's by the cross of Christ we can do this . The power of the cross is real . I have overcome many things more powerful than me by trusting in the cross as much as needed to over come the problem .

Paul said the Cross is to us the power of God .

I read what you said about you struggles with your sinful self .

Yes it's real and you are honest , but you are living a defeated experience, I have a few tips for you , you may consider too help you overcome . I have found very helpful .

Study what separation from sin is . Where you go who you talk to , what you watch , you must not participate with it or it will defile you . God gets no pleasure in a defiled person . He hopes people will be separated unto him .

You rarely would hear about this in a church , they do not understand it . Pure religion according to James chapter 1 is to keep your self unspotted from the world . Psalm 1 also talks about this and 1 Corinthians talks about separation from dis honorable vessels in a church setting .

I hope you get the message , you must be clean from sin as much as possible to have a good relationship with God .

Our temple must be holy for the lord .

The word of God cleans us as we meditate on it . So we need it often . Also touching other defiled people or agreeing with errors etc can defile us .

You can not compromise truth .

If you spend time studying true separation you will have more desire and success with The Lord . Staying out of sin will make it easier to find the faithful life . Can't do both .

Gods blessings to you and all that seek to over come .

    Lisa and Sacha,

I just wanted to say that both your testimonies are a perfect example of humbleness and what it means to be in submission to Christ.

Oftentimes we let our human pride get in the way and don't want to admit that we are broken vessels in need of mending.

Even Paul struggled between his flesh and the Spirit of Christ in him, saying that there was nothing good in his flesh.

But no matter what our past was, Christ forgave us for it. Our sins were nailed to the cross with Him.

For myself, I truly believe that when I stand before God, I'm going to know that I don't deserve to be there. All my sins are going to be laid out in front of me, and in my case it's probably going to be volumes. What am I going to say? What can we say when we're standing before holiness?

When we stand before God, He's not going to see any good in us. But what He will see is His Son in us. He's going to see Jesus Christ in us, the one who justified us (Declared us not guilty) the one who sanctified us, and that's how we enter into His presence.

I think we all can learn from your testimony. I believe the Lord wants those who are willing to confess to Him that they are broken and in need of mending, the person who gets up every morning and says "Lord, I can't do this without you!"

That should be our confession to our Lord and Savior.

Thank you both for reminding me that I oftentimes forget what it means to humble myself before the Lord.

    God Bless you both!

    Hello Sacha,

Thank you for response. I agree with you as well, it is a struggle with our flesh/heart and the only comfort I have is God tells us our flesh and Spirit will battle until we leave this world. The slip ups are so hard on me but Gods grace helps me end my day with his forgiveness and start the next day a new. Hang in there and I will Pray for you :-)

Lisa ,thankyou so much for your honesty ,i too hate myself and my sinfullness and my cold and selfish heart ,there is no good in me ,i fight my own desires every day ,some times i win some times i loose ,the only thing i take comfort in is the one thing thats shames me most ,God reeeally knows me ,every evil lustfull wordly thought and desire He knows them all and He knows my vileness and HE STILL CARES FOR ME AND ABOUT ME ! God is LOVE and i am evil .
  • Lisa on Jeremiah 29 - 3 years ago
According to Gods word we are to seek him and only him with all our hearts. We were created to Love and Worship GOD only, not ourselves! Todays churches teach the Joel Osteen way of love yourself, accept yourself, be yourself etc.this is of satan and why our nation is a huge mess right now because of all the self love and the nurturing of this self love. Self love points to us and not GOD! Satan loved the beauty of who he was and pride entered his heart and he challenged his own creator, sounds familiar doesn't it, it is exactly what man kind has done throughout history and even more so today. There is nothing I love about myself and my sin nature that separated me from GOD. Then GOD showed me his only begotten Son Jesus the Christ and made a way for me to be born again and made new in Jesus Christ. So now I know I am different and do not belong in this current world and I do my best (though I mess up often)to Worship and spend alone time with my GOD. So my testimony is thisI was an adulterous, murdering(abortion), lying, thieving jezebel that desperately needed a Savior and Jesus is my Savior. So as Jeremiah says "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jesus is my expected end and everyday I work out my own Salvation with fear and trembling...

Hello. I (used to) know how you feel. it's a terrible feeling to feel alone BUT that is a lie from your enemy. YOU are not alone, the LORD is with you! The WORD reads, "where can you go from HIS presence?" IF you ascend into heaven HE is there. if you make your bed in hell, HE is there. PSALM 139:7. JOHN 16:33 HE is with you!! Be encouraged my friend!!! Read the WORD out loud, faith cometh by hearing and hearing the WORD of GOD. Romans 10:17. Talk to GOD like you would talk to someone face to face. HE loves you and wants you to fulfill the plan HE has for your life!!! HE has a wonderful and beautiful plan for your life! Jeremiah 29:11!!!

I feel like i have a lot in common with Jesus. A lot of similarities. Does the Bible ever mention about Jesus having any romantic relationship? Or even a desire to have a romantic relationship? I've always felt different. I've never desired any romantic relationship. But I've always loved to take care of animals. Jesus loves to take care of us. I've had jobs working with animals. Then i started to see the Bible verse : Jeremiah 29:11. I thought that was god 's way of telling me that his plan for my life was to have a lifelong career working with animals. But those jobs did not last as long as I'd hoped. It felt like a peice of myself was missing. Then during this corona virus i started to write in my journal about my personal experiences. Through the process, i realized that i was answering a lot of questions I've had about myself all my life. Finally i understood me & i realized that maybe this was god's plan for me all along. His plan was for me to seek out personal information about myself. It reminds me of another Bible verse : Matthew 7:7. And that's exactly what is been doing. I was seeking out information to understand what makes me different. I was asking personal questions about myself because I'd rather understand, instead of doubt & the door was opened wide for me to see the answers to those questions. My prayer is that my story can help anyone else who feels different. Its OK to be different no matter what & it's healthy to accept yourself!

    Carleton,

Almonds, walnuts and rice: sign me up! However, there are more Californians coming to Texas than Texans migrating to California.

I've spent several months in your great state over the years at Mare Island and Edwards Air Force Base on assignment. Even called some Little League tournament games in Lancaster several decades ago.

So do you have any thoughts on how The Holy Spirit leads your interpretation on Jeremiah 29:11?

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

i feel like that sometimes too, we shouldn"t let our feelings be God, have faith, hes always there ! he will never forsake u, sometimes we go through hard things bc our faith is being tested.

The day of the Lord is a very specific day of destruction from the Almighty; Judgment day for the people of earth. It is not an everyday occurrence: Mystery Babylon and the entire Babylonian system comes down in under one hour. The day of the Lord is synonymous with the 6th trumpet strike: Isaiah 13, Isaiah 47, Ez 21:1-24, Ez 38:1-17, Jer 50, Jer 51 and Rev 18. It is Jesus who comes like a thief on HIS day named for HIM to lay the land desolate. The spoiler at noonday (anti-christ) Jer 15:8 places the abomination of desolation that obliterates both corrupt houses of Israel to dust. America by fire, and Israel by invasion/captivity as they reap Jacob's 6th trumpet time of trouble.
  • Peggy - In Reply on Jeremiah 29 - 3 years ago
The 6th trumpet changes the world with much violence. 'Jesus thief' and his northern army will cover Mystery Babylon like a cloud. America to desolation, Israel to captivity, both taken in the self-same hour. 1) Obadiah saw it coming, he saw Esau (Russian confederacy) destroy Jacob (US, Israel), whole. 2) Dan 11:40 The king of the north (Russia) destroys the king of the south (US, Israel). 3) Rev 17 & Rev 18 the beast plans, then destroys Babylon. These 3 depictions do the prophets use to signify the day of the Lord strike, and no one describes the missiles any better than Joel 2:1-11. It's not a standing army, but hundreds of 200 mega ton warheads.

The "Day of the Lord" is the Great Tribulation.
  • Earl Bowman - In Reply on Jeremiah 29 - 3 years ago
Pochalla, may the Spirit grace you with HIS wisdom and His knowledge.

Let's try with the Spirits working to perceive what the Spirit calls the DAY OF THE LORD.

Amos 5:18-21 Woe unto you that DESIRE THE DAY OF THE LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is DARKNESS, AND NOT LIGHT.

    (20) Shall not the DAY OF THE LORD be darkness and not light? even very dark and no brightness in it?

Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned in darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE THE GREAT AND THE TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD COME.

Is this prophecy yet in the future or has it already been fulfilled? Other scriptures and the symbols represented in them provide the answers.

Psalm 89:34-37 .....(36) His (David's) seed (Christ) shall endure forever, and his (Christ) throne as the sun before me. (vs) It (Christ and his throne) shall be established forever as the MOON, AND AS A FAITHFUL WITNESS IN HEAVEN.

Revelation 1:5 And from JESUS CHRIST, who is my FAITHFUL WITNESS IN HEAVEN. The Psalm says the MOON is the faithful witness implying the moon is symbolic of Jesus.

The prophecy says the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the MOON into blood. Has this already happened?

Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

John 19:34 ...and forthwith came there out BLOOD...

THE DAY OF THE LORD is every day and has been going on now for two thousand years.

Christ through the working of the Holy Spirit has been coming (the second time lake a thief in the night to those who look for him).

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; AND UNTO THEM THAT LOOK FOR HIM SHALL HE APPEAR THE SECOND TIME WITHOUT SIN UNTO SALVATION.

Disappointment comes to all of us as we remain in hope that something we've planned for or what has been told us, fails to materialize. It is an unnerving experience that can render some people quite helpless, but God is there for times such as these.

Romans 12:2 says it this way: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Even though we generally understand this verse warning the believer not to behave as the unsaved world does & adopt a new way of thinking, it also has implications to the believer not to conform to the world that sets its hope on the finite & material aspects of it, rather than putting faith in the God Who knows & does all things well.

The believer does at times suffer disappointments, but ought to immediately look heavenward & commit himself & those matters to the Lord Who will bring it to pass in His Time, & generally in a manner above what we could have expected or planned for.

Some other Scriptures to reflect upon: Philippians 4:6,7; Romans 8:28; Jeremiah 29:11; Psalm 73:23-26; Psalm 121:1-8; Psalm 42:11; Matthew 6:33; Proverbs 3:5,6; 1 Peter 5:6,7; John 14:27; Hebrews 13:5. And many more, to show us there is comfort & help as we wait upon the Lord with our concerns & disappointments in this life.

    Jeremiah 29:13

13And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

The Lord is always close to those who seek Him.

    Jeremiah 29:11-12

11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

12Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

God has a best plan for your life trust Him, He is faithful to his promises even when we are not faithful to Him.

    God bless...
