    God will not place an evil spirit within His servants to prophesy falsehood; but as Baalam did and the the 400 false prophets around Micaiah with the council of heaven had a demon represented who was given permission to not only tell a lie but was guaranteed by God Himself that they would listen. This is what makes so called "prophets" today suspect; especially with so little discernment of spirits evident today. The Spirit of God never states things that are appealing to the flesh; but evil spirits do. Our hearts being deceitful above all things ( Jeremiah 17:9) makes us prone and susceptible. In fact; the many curses were warned of in Deuteronomy; and also to Solomon should he be drawn away with many foreign women to worship their gods. These things happened. The case of Micaiah shows a TRUE prophet who at first mocked the false prophesy then rendered the truth. This involved a patriotic attitude which is a warning today for those who would not accept God's judgment when He determines it comes; likely during the Tribulation in this nation.

    The scripture such as Isaiah 66 and of course Rev. 22 along with the gospels make it clear that there is punishment for the wicked.

    And of course Antichrist and the False Prophet are already in torment 1000 years before Satan meets his fate. For the believer; perhaps certain verses such as "if I make my bed in hell you are still with me" ( Psalm 139:8) would be for those who such as Jonah who literally may have been dead and under the earth while simultaneously in the whale as some would surmise. God's presence in some sense is there even with His wrath; but there is no comfort in that.

    What should be considered here is that there is no love of righteousness for the wicked. A house cannot be indwelled with the Holy Spirit as resident unless a transformed heart takes place; and that in this life. Unregenerate man rarely blasphemies the Spirit as the Pharisees did (being the unforgiveable sin); but in the end it likely happens in the Tribulation. As Jeremiah 17:9 states the heart of man is despereately wicked; who can understand it? We are incapable of selfless love for the wicked; or loving Christ in our old nature. We have two alternatives; dying to self and renouncing our own wicked; hopeless state; or choosing to own our own wills and thus forever be stuck in our sin nature which simply means doing things OUR way. It is only an attempt in this life to avoid consequences of sin; not being affected because we have offended a Holy God; or true remorse and realization of our state before a Holy God. The Spirit reminds us of sin; righteousness and judgment to come. Without it; we cannot make sense of the fact that there is no good in us or our works; or that others we know and love apart from Christ are also doomed. We put our hopes in emotional affection for family or friends; alive or dead-oblivious to where they are spending their eternity. And all we see is evil in others and the world but cannot trust God will bring any good out of it.

    NOTE: The notion that there is no Hell and no Satan comes from the same Evil source that told Eve she shall not surely die.

    What was that source?

    Who is this Satan?

    In Genesis it says he is the most subtil of all the beast of the field.

    Psalms says man differs not, than a beast of the field.

    Man is the most SUBTIL, of the BEAST.

    Job said Satan came in with man to present himself to God.

    God ask Satan where he had been?

    Satan said walking to and fro on the earth.

    Satan is not a spirit, Satan is flesh.

    Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful (Satan the great deceiver) above all things, and desperately WICKED ...

    2 Thessalonians 2:8 Then shall that WICKED be revealed ......and destroyed by God's words and God's coming, the indwelling of the Holy Ghost.

    Revelation 12:8 And the earth helped the woman, and open her mouth (the Grave) and swallowed up the dragon ...

    Revelation 20:1-2 Satan was bound in the GRAVE (pit) ...

    Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expire (the age of grace) Satan shall be loosed out of his PRISON (the grave, the second resurrection). To deceive once more: these resurrected still have a heart of stone, the WICKED and deceived.

    Then Judgement, and creation given a heart of flesh.

    Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth (being raised back up) shall worship him, whose names ARE NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THE LIFE of the Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world.

    The question is do you have any desire and love of the Lord in regard to His Holiness and righteousness? It is only when the Spirit is within us that there is a battle of wills; between the flesh and Spirit. It is only His children who He chastises in order to conform them to the image of His Son. I am of the belief that anyone who is involved with someone when their spouse is still alive (despite divorce) is committing adultery; which makes it especially bad when they have sanction from the church and a legal certificate to remarry. I don't know your situation; there are certainly more senior dating sites today even in your age range.

    Adultery is not only sinning outside God's intended covenant marriage; but also infringing against the husband of the woman as well as involving her sin. I would advise you to read in Proverbs in particular about the seductress and her entrappings; with her guests being in hell and other such warnings.

    As believers; if truly saved we are a part of the Body of Christ; and should also love and honor others above our own interests. We should not foresake the assembling of one another; but also have "agape" love; as 1 John warns that he who does not love his brother is a murderer at heart. I am not sure how familiar you are with the scriptures; but again the Spirit brings sin; righteousness and judgment to come and also a hunger and thirst for righeousness. If that does not characterize your heart; I would ask you to seek God to give you a new heart. We need to undertand Jeremiah 17:9 (if I have the right verse) that the heart is desperately wicked; who can know it? We need to look at all our affections and see what we really are apart from Christ; not just try to avoid the consequences of our actions. If we hate God; according to the Word we "love death." The Antichrist and Tribulation are coming; you don't want to be left behind in that judgment if you can avoid it. I pray that the Lord gives you wisdom on this

    Jeremiah 17:5 - Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

    Psalms 118:9 - It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

    Our trust should be placed wholly in Christ Jesus and none other. We do have families, there are friends but even some of those I've come across who seem to be the most trustworthy; they'll betray you when you most or least expect. We as humans are not equipped to keep promises, to bestow trust but to learn from Christ's example on how to live. We need to have fellowship with other Christians, we need family and we need to be part of the body (the church). However, how much you give of yourself to man...that's something I'd always do with a certain precaution.

    Ending with again Psalms 118 but verse 8:

    Psalms 118:8 - It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

    This passage shows the last great speech of Moses; before he went to his death as stated in verse 21 and 22. Even he was unable; because of one time of anger striking the rock for water an extra time (symbolic in some ways of Christ) that he was not allowed to enter the Promised Land but saw it from afar.

    Once again; they are reminded not to worship idols. The past manifestations of God on the mountain with fire was reiterated; and warnings as to future sin and being dispersed among the nations in exile after many died in the land would certainly come to pass. There is even a prophetic statement about the last days and tribulation (v. 30) where God still promised some mercy for repentance. This demonstrates the sad reality that Moses knew as God Himself that there would be rebellion as long as man remained in his sinful state until Christ returns. Nonetheless; God's covenant would remain (verse 31).

    The blindness among the nation of Israel will finally be removed right before the return of Christ according to Zechariah. Romans states this as continuing until the "time of the Gentiles be complete ( Romans 11:25; see also Luke 21:24). Truly, there has been a time in the wilderness for the Jews up until today; as they have been unable to assess the suffering servant in Isaiah 53 as being Christ. Sadly; many will fall for Antichrist when "another comes in his own name" ( John 5:43). The lesson of going after enemies without God's blessing due to sin in the camp was something prevalent at that time. It was sin which caused such an extensive delay to get out of the desert; and would continually cause the nation to fall short of the promises in God's covenant for the Promised Land. Nonetheless; mercy stands as we have a God much more patient than you or I. Time and time again He forgives despite the heart of man which is desperately wicked ( Jeremiah 17:9).

    Hello Roy,

    Wonderful question and I would suspect that the majority of us have pondered this at some moment in our lives.

    Over the years I have read(heard) many illogical and unbiblical answers. So what we all would like to know is how did Noah really live to be 950 years old!? Was the length of a year different? Did the Earth spin faster?(small joke)

    I will offer what I believe to be a biblical view that coincides with many a scripture.

    Romans 8:13-17

    We know that the first man in creation, being Adam, was formed in God's image, His perfection. Man formed in perfection. The closer we get to the first generations of God's creation the more God-like I believe they must have been.

    Galatians 3:13 Jeremiah 17:5-6

    Once sin began to take course the following generations began to suffer. As time passed and we come to Moses, he only lived to be 120.

    I believe that in the Garden of Eden God's creation of man had fallen due to the fall of man. In other words, had sin not infiltrated the generations of man we would still be having a conversation, today, with men of long ago. Imagine having children at 100, or serving our Lord for 900 years. I can't even fathom. Those first men must also have shared Much more in common with God than we do. Today we are "built cheap" because of sin.

    Another thought if I may. During the fall in Eden God also cursed the ground. Imagine what our world would be today.

    I hope that this helps to understand the question of time being different in the OT days vs modern day.

    Praise the Lord for the many comments and praise reports declared on this platform. Just a few notes to help us in our walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. Since the fall of the first Adam the human heart was never pure to begin with. All who came into this world came as the Lord said with "... heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked..." When we trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour, we are given a new heart. Eze 36:26; 2 Cor 3:3

    In our reading of Jeremiah 17, the rulers and people were told to keep the Sabbath. Seems pretty easy, except to truly keep the Sabbath in a manner that is pleasing to the Lord would really mean strictly following the rest of the commandments. As a Jew, they would have to know everything that went to the preparation and executing the proper etiquette of the Sabbath to please the Lord. It would be tantamount for me to know who my Lord God is in order to worship Him in Truth and in Spirit. Other wise my worship of the Lord in attending a church service would be meaningless and would not give my God the glory or praise He so richly deserves. Hebrews 10:25

    Ezekiel 33:8

    When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

    That other verse: the Tree is known by its fruit.

    It means that Jesus is that tree, and we are grafted into His Life. How we conduct ourselves in all ways; looks like Jesus, sounds like Him, prays to Our Father; in Jesus's Name.

    By reading all of the Bible, we come to understand what the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) is like. ROMANS 1. They made this world that we should respect and love, every day.

    Scriptures light us up on the inside. That light flows outward on a hurting world that needs Him.

    Peter walked by a blind beggar on the street and his heart was overcome by his need. He said, silver and gold I do not have; but what I have, I give to you. The man was healed.

    I was healed the day I met Jesus. I had been a very sinful person. I didn't deserve to be saved. But he pulled me out of the mouth of the hell I lived in. That was 36 yrs ago. Every day with Jesus is JOY. I am loved completely. No one has ever loved me so.

    Your walk with God can be shallow or deep. I took a leap off my painful reality right into His arms. No matter what happens He has never let go of me.

    Open your heart and live on full display. His life Light, will shine through you. Take that leap.

    How can anyone not seek the KJV bible to answer the important questions of vaccines and everything this world does?

    How did vaccines, DNA, and mRNA come into existence? By murder, necromancy, abominations, and unnatural sorceries that the bible warns us.

    How? Research the bible.

    Science so falsely called. The bible calls science a liar, profane and vain babbling. To abstain from this.

    Science sheds innocent blood to murder babies in womb. Using the dead of babies and animals to discover hidden knowledge of DNA and mRNA.

    Science values no plant, animal or human life. Everything living person, animal, or plant is a disposable specimen to them.

    And the Georgia Guidestones proves their evil global plot of eugenics of communism that Revelation warned us would come.

    Jeremiah 17:5 warned us.

    Please - if you have ever taken one vaccine - with or without your consent - as many had these vaccines ad kids - repent to Jesus Christ for these worldy things.

    And never take anothe one again.

    The vile and evil things that science does is never to help life. But to control life and destroying life.

    Hi Dan, thanks for your comments. Please know that my response is given in love with my only intention to glorify the Lord.

    I understand what you are saying about not turning down service providers based on if they are believers or not, I certainly would not turn down bypass surgery or roof repair because the provider was not a believer; however, those services are quite different than "spiritual" or "mind" service providers. Heart surgery or roof repair is not doctrine or the word of God and has nothing to do with salvation or living a Godly life or solving behavioral (heart) problems ( Jeremiah 17:9, Mark 7:20-23).

    When it comes to obeying the Lord and following His word, psychology just seems to be a secular (and ungodly) look at behavior. It is an attempt to explain why we do things and what the solution is without referring to God and His word. Psychology is an invention from worldly men who denied Jesus Christ (people like Freud, Wundt, Jung, Skinner, etc). Some psychologists even merge the word of God and secular theory which seems unbiblical to me (we are to be set apart from this world - John 15:19, Romans 12:1-3, 1 John 2:15-17).

    I guess what I am really asking is - to put it how you were phrasing it - if someone was 'sick' (spiritually) why would they go to a secular physician (psychologist) and not a spiritual physician (Jesus)? We even have a behavioral manual (the Word). The bible seems to continually say that the Lord and His word are sufficient, exactly what we need and that we should avoid the wisdom of men ( 2 Timothy 2:15-16, 2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Peter 2:25, Hebrews 4:14-16, Isaiah 55:7-9). 1 Corinthians 2:11-16. When we become a Christian, we have the mind of Christ, which is spiritual - not worldly. Jesus is our counselor ( Isaiah 9:6) and he knows us ( John 2:25).

    It seems that as a Christian we either believe that the word of God is sufficient for all spiritual problems or we don't.

    BTW - this is not for me, it involves a family member.

    Thanks for your response Adam, it is insightful and thoughtful. I have a few disagreements though. In regards to the definition - isn't our behavior influenced by either a submission to God or a submission to our flesh? James 4:7. Romans 8:6-8. I have yet to find a psychological theory about behavior that refers to God's word & sin and not worldly/secular explanations that are unbiblical. Doesn't it matter that psychology was heralded by people like Wundt, Freud, Jung, Skinner - all people who denied the Lordship of Jesus and were unbelievers? Matthew 9:17-18.

    Positive thinking was started by Phineas Quimby who hypnotized people. He believed that the body was a reflection of the mind and all illnesses were a result of false beliefs. He had conversations with Mary Baker Eddy (Christian Science founder) and influenced her to believe that 'right thinking' in accordance with scripture could cure any ailment. I don't think that 'positive thinking' can be aligned with the word of God.

    Philippians 4 says 'by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving', not by 'positive thinking'. I believe Matthew 6:34 is in relation to submitting to God and trusting in Him, something atheists do not do. It was not meant to just say "don't worry about tomorrow" (which would be worldly wisdom) but "trust in the Lord" which is Godly wisdom. I would argue that psychology says "trust in yourself" and the bible says "deny yourself", two viewpoints which are incompatible.

    I would say counseling is good as long as it is biblical. Shouldn't everything center around the Lord and His word? If you talk to a counselor and they do not point you to the bible and Godly wisdom, the only other option is they are pointing you towards worldly wisdom. The bible says we have a heart issue, not a mental issue. Jeremiah 17:9-10.

    1 Corinthians 1:18-25. Acts 17:10-12. I think everything needs to be tested against scripture.

    Hi Adam, I am mainly referring to verse 16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness". This seems to say that the word of God is sufficient for our walk with the Lord and for our issues/problems. The other verses I mentioned all place the word of God over the wisdom of men. Does not psychology count as the wisdom of men? This is how I am reading these scriptures, I am wanting to know if I am way off base or if I am getting this right because some of my family members seem to be okay with psychology and it does not seem right to me. Also, Jeremiah 17:9 says the heart is deceitful and wicked. Sounds like a sin issue, not a personality disorder or a psychological problem. I hope that helps make my question clearer.

    It's nothing to GOD if you have perfect attendance or not because there's really nothing we can give HIM that HE doesn't have. But at Church we're still instructed to never be absent (we have 3 days of Church services; some have perfect attendance since they were saved, some come and go). So now we go to Church for our own good to receive blessings from HIM: material, physical, and Spiriutal blessings.

    We just have to be thankful to GOD that there's this one place for us where we can go to serve The LORD GOD by:

    1) singing praising songs to HIM

    2) praying to HIM

    3) hearing HIS messages through preaching

    4) testifying for HIM

    5) joining others in setting up The Church and serving HIS followers

    If you get that feeling of not going to Church, whether it's a building or a humble place, then maybe it's time to search yourself first. Pray, fast, sing praising songs to GOD, ask for forgiveness for your shortcomings, and cry for mercy, love, and forgiveness, ask for His sweet Holy Presence. And let HIM lead you wherever HE wants you to be. HALLELUJAH! PRAISE THE LORD!

    Hello, I have been looking for a bible verse to inscribe on my hushand birthday gift, but honestly I am new to TRULY believing. I was born in Quebec/Canada, the french part, and I still have difficulty with my english speaking.

    So, since I can't work I do some Art, and I started working leather. He hate putting something with his main car key but he often have difficulty to find it. So I though tabout making him something small, where I could insert a mini natural oil mix bottle for his sinus.

    I am not sur what to inscribe on. I was thinking something along the line of health or something about communication. So here are some of my idea:

    The word 'heart' is a strange word. As you know, we have it in normal English usage & we find it in the Bible as well. There's no specific meaning one can give to it; the best I can do, is to say that the word 'heart' is used when we want to describe someone's innermost being, expressed in the mind, the emotions or in spiritual matters. Just as one's soul & spirit are defined in the Bible & these are the immaterial parts of us, so to our 'heart' is immaterial & probably serves to describe the activity of soul and/or spirit.

    The Bible is replete with references to the 'heart': Genesis 6:5,6; Genesis 17:17; Genesis 45:26; Jeremiah 17:9 are just a few examples of the ways that 'heart' is used in the Bible. So when I wrote, "fully convinced in our hearts", my thoughts were on the combination of our mental & emotional aspects, whereby we must firmly believe in mind & display of emotional strength, as we stand against any that should come against us.

    As a sideline, the Bible also uses the word 'bowels'. This can refer to our bodily insides ( Genesis 15:4) but also refer to what we denote to the heart, except using the older English expression. So we have Genesis 43:30, Philemon 1:7 as a couple of examples of that. I trust you can see the use of the word 'heart' (& bowels) in Scripture.
