Halleluyah.....this is my chapter of the year 2014,God has just ministered to me thru this chapter,the assurance of greatness in my life.....glory to Jesus Christ!!!!!!
To comment on the end of Isaiah 60:7 "and I will glorify the house of my glory."
I have heard that God will honor those that honor Him and this is one proof text to support that He is of such character. Many have been burned, beheaded, and treated with severe dishonor in this life for Jesus's name sake; but, judging works by the intent of each believer's heart... in the end and eternally our Savior will recompense our works and reward where it is due. He is keeping record. It's nice to see some handfuls of purpose in this life as well, like this context and Job's last chapter. God is very good!!!
This verse means he is in charge, and he will lift you high among everyone. you were in darkness but he has selected you and pulled you out of the satan's mouth. and all our mourning is finished!
Isaiah 60 is an assurance for you to walk into your destiny because of your obedience to GOD. Without obedience, you can't arise and shine. You are in the dark. So, darkness and light can't work or walk together.
PEOPLE MAY HATE U BUT IF HAV RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD, THEY CAN'T DENY U BCAUSE THE LORD WILL PLACE U HI ABOV THEM SO DAT DE WIL BCOM SUBJECT TO U. HAMAN HATED MODAKAI BUT GOD PLACED MKAI FAR ABOV HAMAN. MY GOD WIL CRUSH SATAN UNDA UR FEET SHORTLY.
this says to me that my son is coming back home, and my daughter will be close to me also,and that everything that belongs to him with him.and everyone will see the glory of God which radiates through us.
Isaiah 60:22, A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time. It means the righteous teachings will not come from a big land but from a group of islands. Who are these islands? Islands that love, give praise, respect God. Where can you find these islands? Malachi 1:11 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB): For from farthest east to farthest west my name is great among the nations. Offerings are presented to my name everywhere, pure gifts; for my name is great among the nations.
@Stan Unger,
I googled your first post "God the Son in the Bible and there was a lot to read there.
Also the same as for Trinity and Rapture being used in the Bible. As for your second post I found this to be helpful: Psalm 87:2-3 says, The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are said of you, O city of God. Occurring over 150 times in the Bible, the word Zion essentially means fortification. In the Bible, Zion is both the city of David and the city of God.
As the Bible progresses, the word Zion transitions from referring primarily to a physical city to having a more spiritual meaning.
The first mention of the word Zion in the Bible is 2 Samuel 5:7: Nevertheless, David captured the fortress of Zion, the City of David. Zion, therefore, was originally the name of the ancient Jebusite fortress in the city of Jerusalem. Zion came to stand not only for the fortress but also for city in which the fortress stood. After David captured the stronghold of Zion, Zion was then called the City of David ( 1 Kings 8:1; 1 Chronicles 11:5; 2 Chronicles 5:2). When Solomon built the temple in Jerusalem, Zion expanded in meaning to include the temple and the area surrounding it ( Psalms 2:6; 48:2, 11-12; 132:13). Zion was eventually used as a name for the city of Jerusalem, the land of Judah, and the people of Israel as a whole ( Isaiah 40:9; Jeremiah 31:12; Zechariah 9:13). The most important use of the word Zion is in a theological sense. Zion is used figuratively of Israel as the people of God ( Isaiah 60:14). The spiritual meaning of Zion is continued in the New Testament, where it is given the Christian meaning of God's spiritual kingdom, the heavenly Jerusalem ( Hebrews 12:22; Revelation 14:1). Peter refers to Christ as the Cornerstone of Zion: See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in Him will never be put to shame ( 1 Peter 2:6).

The light spoken of in Genesis 1:3 has been the subject of commentaries, which describe it as spiritual light. God is often spoken of as the highest light, as in Isaiah 60:19. Physical light, the sun, stars, and moon, were created later, as described in Genesis 1:16.
i think the lord is telling us that he has returned his love and favour towards us and this will result in us seeing great wonders and mighty miracles coming from every angle those that you know and those that you dont know he shall personally do it but remember to continue to give him the glory for it is being done so that his glory can be seen in us and around us.
The prophecy tells of the invention of airplanes, and how they would bring the Jews back to Israel. Jehovah will come, and be an everlasting light. The Kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and the Gentiles will be blessed that bless Israel, and those that curse them will be cursed.
