Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for your Grace and mercy thank you for making a way where there is no way you are my high preist mighty councillor and Prince of piece I am child of God AMEN and amen
There's Nothing magical about any Verse or The Bible Just Thinking such a Thing Places You on The Path of Satan. It's witchcraft /You are to Come Boldly Unto The Throne of Grace, That We may Obtain Mercy and Find Grace to Help in Time of Need ( Hebrews 4:16) Ask Forgiveness ( 1John 1:9) Whosoever was Not Found Written in The Book of Life was Cast into The Lake of Fire( Revelation 20:15)
Growing-up, people were believers in God. We love the The Word of God. We read it: Home: School: Sunday School: House of God: It was our Soiritual Food. We say our Grace before Meals: home: School: wherever. We say Thanks after each meal. Thank God Our Provider. It just came Natural. We believe every Word that Procedeth out-of-the Mouth-of-God. We studied: Memorized: Visualized:Gods Precious Words
We are in this body of flesh: on earth: we have to deal with: the world: the flesh: and the devil. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15: There is none righteous, no not one. All our righteousness are as filthy rags. Because of Jesus, God sees us righteous .
Adoniyah: Luke 1:5-6 is Telling Us How The Parents of John Done All Things Blameless in The Old Testament. Same with Job. We are Now Living in The New Testament. We are Free From Most Things in The Old Testament. Christ is Our One Blood Sacrifice for All Who Come to Him. Forever /If You, Me or Anyone Tries to Live Like They Did---- Lake of Fire / We Can Go to The Throne Room Boldly( Hebrews 4:16
True, very few reside in the "rest" that Paul speaks of. But there were some as Moses, Joshua, and Caleb who were found worthy to cross over Jordan into the promised land. As for Christians, very few as well since the 12 disciples. Paul was fervant as a Jew and fervant as a Christian. But faith ain't free, nor easy to sustain. God is the Judge, as well as Jesus when he walked in perfect faith
And Take The Helmet of Salvation and The Sword of The Spirit which is The Word of God(Ephesian 6:17) For The Word of God is Quick and Powerful, Sharper than Any Twoedged Sword---( Hebrews 4:12) A Flaming Sword is The Word of God, That kept Adam and Eve out of The Garden. And The Word was Made Flesh and Dwelt Among Us ( John 1:14)
I want to tell you how wonderful it is to read this scripture from Our Lord God Almighty. Since Jesus Our High Preist has ascended into His Heavens, let us There For hold Fast Our profession.
the gospel was preached but it didn't do them any good because they didn't have faith in the Word. It's impossible to please God without faith...because the just shall live by faith in God's Word. We get faith by hearing God's Word and choosing to believe what it says and applying it to our everyday life. Then we can rest in knowing that He hears our heart's cry and will answer. God is faithful!
I learn a lot from this chapter of Hebrews
1.The word of God is quick and powerful
2.Let us come boldly unto the throne of grace
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace.
these word i have have instilled in me.
,
Father your word is quick and powerful and sharp than a sword. Lord Jesus help me to understand your word and let your word dwelleth in me. Thank you Jesus for being faithful to your word you have prophesied and have blessed me enough thank you for giving me a Son amen hallelujah
"Servant of God" back up to verse 9. Rest used in verse 9 is from the Greek word 'sabbatismos' which means a sabbath rest. To the people of God there still remains a Sabbath. Stoning was under Moses law which Jesus fulfilled Luke 24:44. God commanded his 10 commandments Exo 20), added no more to them (deu 5:22) and will never alter what he himself spoke ( psalms 89:34). See also, Ecclesiastes 12:13
"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Even your thoughts, even your plans, your intentions, are known of God. You CANNOT hide even a thought from God. He knows all, reads all, hears all. He is all in all.
"...touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless." vs 6. Paul here, and only 3 others throughout the N.T. are said to be blameless before the law. Jesus ( Hebrews 4:15), and Zacharias and Elizabeth, parents of John the Baptist ( Luke 1:6). But then, we live under a different law, faith and grace, for "Christ is the end of the law for righteous to everyone that believeth" Romans 10:4.
We must labor to enter into that rest? They did not enter, except Caleb and Joshua? Jesus, the High Priest did? God is the discerner! Who can enter lest God permits!?. To David, Today, if you hear God's word, harden not your heart. The seventh day, the day of rest, where one would die if he worked that day, by stoning! Yikes! So to sum up, the Rest to which God refers is entirely up to Him
No matter how difficult your life is remember that you have a great high priest who is Jesus.
And he's ready to change your negative to positive if you belive in him and have faith.
AMEN Christina!!! How shall it be known that God hath wrought in us, without the effects? Can the grace of Jesus Christ be in my heart, and my manner of life, spirit and nature reflect His image and likeness? Should we then instead mislead ourselves by stage-playing and flattering talk and love songs to Jesus, and our heart not really be for Him? So faith without WORKS, DEEDS, ACTION, IS DEAD!
James 2: 19-26
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect
A seminal chapter from Paul, who immediately distinguishes us and them, unbelievers according to Paul and us, who are saved by belief. For God spoke thru Moses of Rest ig the seventh day. Also in Exodus entering the land if Milk and Honey, which is a similar metaphor. That rest is not watching tv from an easy chair, but somehow finding favor with God due to and unwavering belief and in God
WE seam to miss what we are being taught in chapter 3 and 4 Do you obsearve the sabbath day or is this just another day? We must rest and it is a holy day unto GOD it looks like we take it as unbelief, also as he speaks to us we do not observe it because of our unbelive
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow,
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. THE WORD IS GOD. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The Word is ALIVE. think GOD
