Verse 1 enspires me, to know that I am surrounded with a great cloud of witnesses gives me more strength to run this race. Laying aside all the weights, the fire fighters, and the sin that easily ensnares us. Powerful word, I undestand that to run this race I need to lay aside, to ignore certain things that might pull me back. I understand that I am in a race but most importantly that I am not alone, I am surrounded. Thank you Jesus
He is our example...so we do what he did which is to look to what was at the end and not focus on the now....and look at what He got in the end? Sitting at the right hand of the almighty !!!!
I am wondering why verse 9 of Heb 12 is different from the KJV and the NKJV concerning "with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all in the NKJV and the KJV states "the holy place " not capitalized. these are serious differences doctrinal wise. One is weekly the other once a year.
The kingdom of God cannot be moved It is eternal. Many have come along and tried to move it but His kingdom is a solid foundation. My God Lord Jesus Christ is to be greatly feared and reverenced. He is Awesome !!!! I thank God He has called me into His Grace . I am Blessed beyond measure..
My God I 'm so overwhelm about this verse, it 's amazing that all things people may believed in its gonna be shaken. Except the things of God. Help us Lord to hold on your ever loving Word.
That there is no longer controversy in our believes but that we have come to a better covenant with the blood of sprinkling that speaks better thing than the blood of Abel so that our conscience is purged free from sin to the glorious city of the living God. Lets have this in mind and allow our finisher the living son of God to strengthen our feeble knees to round up the faith.
We remain focus like HE did being our example.HE thought about us the Church that is why HE rejoiced when facing the cross. We too are to remain focus on the finished work to live victorius life and above to remain in HIS rest.
I agree with Vernon My focus should be on Jesus and on the finishing line. This is a race and I am a winner !! I will look unto Jesus I have been through shame and suffering in this life But not like Jesus. I will never have to face what He did so I should have no complaints !!!!! Even though the things I face I will face them with Joy for the Joy of the Lord is my strength. I will soon be sitting down with my Lord and Saviour. The joy is set before me . JESUS !!! What I acquire with my Lord in this short life is what I want to have in heaven for eternity !!!!
Those who looked at the lifted surpent when bitten by poisonous snaked did not die but lived so if we look at the lifted jesus we shall live.so look and live.
We need to keep our focus on Jesus. Sometimes we look to ourselves and others instead of him. He is our only source of strength and peace in this race of life. No matter what circumstances comes our way, we will surely overcome if our eyes are fixed on him. Lord help us all to look to you alone.
Looking towards Jesus,he is ever before me,bringing me to a prepared place,to get there involves suffering, shame, grief, but my focus is not on that,my focus is Jesus,my advocate in heaven at the right hand of God

As followers of Christ, we must pursue peace among the brethren. We must make sure that we dont have anything negative against our neighbours. If we fail to love our neighbours as ourselves and claim to love God, it amounts to zero love. God said be ye holy, for I am holy. Holiness is the nature and attribute of God. Without holiness, we cannot see God.
this is the way i see it. each and everyone of us has a personal race to run for God. he has made us for a purpose. there are things that the lord has made us to do for him. remember it is not about us. thats why God wants us to lay aside every weight that beset us, in other words, anything that distract us or hinder us from doing his will. the weight can be many things. let me name a few money, your children, people, your house, your car and worries. all of these things cause us to sin. one of the biggest one is worry! why do we worry, is it because we dont trust God? we don't have the faith. we say that we are a christin.but we don't have the faith. it is impossible to please God without faith. he also said let not our hearts be trouble. by his stripes we are heal.so why? do we worry.God is tring to get us to focus on the race that he has set before us. Jesus gave us the holy bible to go by, our basic instruction before we leave earth. so my sisters and brothers, God has everything in control, all we need to do is have faith and trust him that he will do what he said that he would do. stay focus on our mission down here, being led by God. think! you for leting me comment.
Jesus himself in his teachings on the mountains said that "blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called the sons of God". In the light of the above statement together with what is in Hebrews 12:14 there is a clear indication without any doubt that children of God owe it a duty to ensure that they live peaceably with all people irrespective of their race, tribe, religion, country and what have you. This means that any reason assign as a basis for failing to live at peace with all men is not biblical and therefore unacceptable before God.
On the other hand,it is important to note that holy living is very, very, very crucial if a christian wants to have an intimate relationship with God. Any body that lives a contrary life and claims to be in constant talks with God is nothing but a liar. In a traditional or literal sense, if one is not permitted to see the king or a person in authority there is no way they can present their case let alone getting hearing. This means that holiness is the key that opens the conversational door between God and his chosen people. It is the basis by which a child of God can have the audacity to question God on issues they don't understand.
Discipline is not pleasant in itself, but when we think about the good results that it can produce afterward it is well worth it. Nobody is perfect, so we will all need discipline at one time or another. Discipline can make us feel down or depressed, but if we allow it to mold us into a better person we can truly appreciate the value that discipline has. God considers those who have been trained by discipline to be righteous.
I think this is exactly what the Lord want the Chritians to be. as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy
When God is chastising u, it loks lyk an affliction frm d devil bt undstand dat God is doing so out of d bountifulnes of His love. Rememba He wil neva alow u to perish bt openin ur eyes fo corection and to enjy of original plans He has fo u.
Hebrews 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

I think many Pastors have been decieved into believing and teaching that someone can love God, be filled with His Spirit, and then later turn away and still walk into heaven, disregarding all the warnings, especially the one here that says without holiness, no man shall see the Lord. We are not talking works, we are talking denying your self. Is not self denial a proff of true salvation?

If I'm understanding this message correctly it is basically speaking about someone who is very bitter and don't appreciate the grace of God and doesn't care about destroying others.
