Because God is Love. He wanted us on earth to be loved and give love back to God (because we want to). Also, to give love and be loved by our fellowman.
God gave us freewill so it could be our desire to worship and love God. Facts are, Satan was in the garden too, and planted seeds of doubt in the first couple.
Our lives become a lot simpler when we live our lives within the love of God and leadership through Jesus.

Actually, this is a myth about the line of Seth. Genesis 4:25 mentions Seth having a son named Enos and then after that men began to call upon the name of the LORD. personally I think He would be in a light, or see the light.
Prior to the flood, people live nearly 900 years. After the flood, only Noah (and maybe his wife) lived that long. His children (and daughter in-laws) lived around 600, After these people who were born prior to the flood, the average lifespan of people began to fall with each generation. By Abraham's time (10 generations or so later) the lifespan had fallen to about 150 years or so.
I believe that God had his reasons for the long life spans and for shortening them after the flood. But we do not know the environmental or genetic factors that led to these long life spans prior to the flood.
It's like this Genesis: GOD gave dominion to man over the Earth, including sea. Gen. 1:28, It's a ' stewardship ' that all men will give an account for. Matthew 25:31-46, yet the Earth still belongs to GOD : 1Corinthains 10:26,

We're not a "direct" creation. We're sons of Adam until Born again.

Noah was saved from God's wrath along with his immediate family. This therefore is as prototype of the rapture; with all righteous removed before judgment. Thus; Satan's plan to thwart Christ's lineage and therefore stop the plan of redemption from coming to fruition was demonstrated here. We of course; according to Romans are saved from the "wrath to come". We are to take refuge as His sheep in Him; who guides us as Psalm 23 states to pastures where we can safely graze as J.S. Bach stated. We also shall stand in the "presence of His enemies". Those outside the ark are similar to those in Isaiah 66 who are seen and abhorred by God's people. Being saved from ourselves surely is the greatest gift as well. It should also be kept in mind that obeying the Lord in the means of being saved and His instructions is imperetive as compared with attempting to justify ourselves by doing our own thing to earn God's favor.
There was a calling out as well with a similar small group with Lot and his immediate family. We do well to note Lot's wife and all her privleges meaning nothing as her heart was still in this world as she "looked back" and was destroyed. The final state of the world at the end of the Millennium is similar as the world as the "sands of the sea" in their size will for the final time be led astray by Satan. Again; all the utopian visions or means of escape are useless delusions apart from God's saving grace as our only solution. We need to remember Peter as well; who was saved after exclaiming "Lord save me" when walking on water. Christ is our only solace in this dying world to be judged by fire.

In Genesis, Abraham was promised several amazing things, a son from his 'wife', in their old age, etc. Gen. 12:2,3,7, but also that those heirs would be servant in strange land & afflicted 400 yrs. Genesis 12:10-17, Genesis 16:1-16, Genesis 21:9-19 = it was in Egypt, Abraham's children of Sarah's son Isaac's offspring were afflicted.
Genesis 18, shows great mercy of GOD that if 10 righteous were in that land (Sodom & Gomorrah) it would've been spared. That's his Nephew Lot's friends & family. ?, Right here is proof the GOD interecedes on People's behalf when they obey HIM.

Jesus is the New Testament Ark.
Noah worked daily on the Ark and preached to the inhabitants of the town near him; they asked him why he was building this gigantic boat in a landlocked area, that had never been rained on yet?? It misted, but didn't rain.

Hi Becki. I know that Genesis 6:1-4 has been a passage variously translated by many. If the fallen angels were the 'sons of God', they obviously were given (or, had) powers of procreation with humans. This aspect alone separates those that believe the giants (nephilim) resulted from such a union, from those who believe that's impossible.
And then we have the view: that Genesis 6:1-3 (of the sons of God coming to human women) as a separate event to that of v4a, "There were giants in the earth in those days". In other words, that the appearance of giants were not associated with this abnormal procreation between spirit beings & human beings; that they were simply tall people (maybe of both men & women) that were like that because of gene abnormality. And that (rest of v4) the progeny of that union became "mighty men of renown", were not necessarily referring to those of giant appearance, but to those of verse 2.
The third view: that the "sons of God" were of those who remained faithful to God (i.e. Seth's progeny), whereas those of Cain's, forgot the Lord & went into evil idolatrous ways.
It would be difficult from such a brief account, be able to give a clear answer - each option having some merit. But to imagine a fusion of human & animal into one grotesque creature would be hard to swallow. I hope that the Spirit will bring us all into a greater understanding of this, as we learn more of man's wickedness & God's graciousness that pervades His Plan for this world.
Hello Roni. Apart from what we read in Genesis chapters 6 to 8, we have little else to help us know exactly what this covering of the Ark was. We do know that in the construction of the Ark, God required a window be made ( Genesis 6:16) - maybe for light & ventilation. This window would have probably been at the highest point of the Ark (a cubit = < 2 ft), below the sloping roof line & may have extended the length & breadth of both sides of the Ark. It could be that a part of this window, or another aperture lower down, was covered (with some sort of skin or wood) that could be easily removed for Noah to view the outside world (or, sea levels). Just a few of my imaginations - others might have other thoughts.

It seems like some translations that call it Nephilim because they made a decision to leave the word roughly as it sounds in Hebrew. But translated is 'giants'. So, I'm not sure if you're against the N word or the concept of there being giants or something else. But this interpretation doesn't appear to be out of thin air and does legitimately appear in scripture:

Actually, this is a myth about the line of Seth. Genesis 4:25 mentions Seth having a son named Enos and then after that men began to call upon the name of the LORD. The Bible does not call them sons of God. Mankind lost that sonship when Adam sinned. It is only restored after the cross when one receives the Lord Jesus Christ ( John 1:12).

personally I think He would be in a light, or see the light.
Prior to the flood, people live nearly 900 years. After the flood, only Noah (and maybe his wife) lived that long. His children (and daughter in-laws) lived around 600, After these people who were born prior to the flood, the average lifespan of people began to fall with each generation. By Abraham's time (10 generations or so later) the lifespan had fallen to about 150 years or so.
I believe that God had his reasons for the long life spans and for shortening them after the flood. But we do not know the environmental or genetic factors that led to these long life spans prior to the flood.

I think it amazing that GOD intervenes on our behalf so many times. Exodus 3:9, Psalms 12:5,
& ultimately gave us Salvation John 3:16-18, Ecclesiastes 5:8,

This is a term used as a direct creation of God.
There is only 3 in scripture that was created that bares this title
1) Angels.
Genesis 6:2.
Job 1:6.
2) Adam.
Luke 3:38.
We're not a "direct" creation. We're sons of Adam until Born again.
3) Those in Christ.
John 1:12.
We are a NEW creation in Christ.
That's why it's called a new birth. "Born again" properly translated, "Born from above."
With Adam being the first Man/Adam created, And then sinned, sin passed on to ALL Men, "Only if ALL Men came after Adam. The ONLY way redemption is available to ALL.

When the Law came everyone in Adam spiritually died.
I believe physical death came by Adams transgression, spiritual death came by the giving of the law.

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

If there were people created before Adam how can they be bought back when Adam transgression has no effect on them being they were never "In" Adam.

There was a calling out as well with a similar small group with Lot and his immediate family. We do well to note Lot's wife and all her privleges meaning nothing as her heart was still in this world as she "looked back" and was destroyed. The final state of the world at the end of the Millennium is similar as the world as the "sands of the sea" in their size will for the final time be led astray by Satan. Again; all the utopian visions or means of escape are useless delusions apart from God's saving grace as our only solution. We need to remember Peter as well; who was saved after exclaiming "Lord save me" when walking on water. Christ is our only solace in this dying world to be judged by fire.

In Genesis, Abraham was promised several amazing things, a son from his 'wife', in their old age, etc. Gen. 12:2,3,7, but also that those heirs would be servant in strange land & afflicted 400 yrs. Genesis 15:12-13, if you read in depth you can find GOD's justice. Genesis 12:10-17, Genesis 16:1-16, Genesis 21:9-19 = it was in Egypt, Abraham's children of Sarah's son Isaac's offspring were afflicted.
Genesis 18, shows great mercy of GOD that if 10 righteous were in that land (Sodom & Gomorrah) it would've been spared. That's his Nephew Lot's friends & family. ?, Right here is proof the GOD interecedes on People's behalf when they obey HIM.

If Adam was not the first man and there were other hominids prior to him, then it raises the question: in what sense was he the first man ( 1 Corinthians 15:45)?
The ground was not only the place of Adam's creation but also his home, and because of his later disobedience, it would become his grave ( Genesis 2:15; 3:19). Adam's value is seen not in what he was made from but rather in the unique way God formed him (cf. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3--4, 139:13-14). The man the LORD God formed is called Adam ( Genesis 2:20; 3:17; cf. 5:1), who is the only human at this point as he is alone, which is not good ( Genesis 2:18. ), until God makes a helper who corresponds to him
( Genesis 2:18-22).

The importance of the lineage of Adam & Eve was it led to the Messiah Jesus CHRIST. Luke 3:22-38. Therefore when Eve is called the mother of all living CHRIST even addressed this as "let the dead bury the dead" pointing to spiritual death. You don't need to look far to see disregard for life of babies, abortion kills millions & who spares a single child from it? And then we have the view: that Genesis 6:1-3 (of the sons of God coming to human women) as a separate event to that of v4a, "There were giants in the earth in those days". In other words, that the appearance of giants were not associated with this abnormal procreation between spirit beings & human beings; that they were simply tall people (maybe of both men & women) that were like that because of gene abnormality. And that (rest of v4) the progeny of that union became "mighty men of renown", were not necessarily referring to those of giant appearance, but to those of verse 2.
The third view: that the "sons of God" were of those who remained faithful to God (i.e. Seth's progeny), whereas those of Cain's, forgot the Lord & went into evil idolatrous ways.
It would be difficult from such a brief account, be able to give a clear answer - each option having some merit. But to imagine a fusion of human & animal into one grotesque creature would be hard to swallow. I hope that the Spirit will bring us all into a greater understanding of this, as we learn more of man's wickedness & God's graciousness that pervades His Plan for this world.
It seems like some translations that call it Nephilim because they made a decision to leave the word roughly as it sounds in Hebrew. But translated is 'giants'. So, I'm not sure if you're against the N word or the concept of there being giants or something else. But this interpretation doesn't appear to be out of thin air and does legitimately appear in scripture:
