I do not believe in these theories about Nephilim, aliens what not. I feel it is more likely that the term giants are referring to dinosaurs and the sons of God simply referring to the lineage of Seth. Sons of God are anyone who chooses God as their father.

I was wondering if the "sons of God " were from another place, another planet, aliens perhaps, because it refers to "the daughters of man " that would be women of planet earth why doesn 't the bible call the men " sons of man " and there is alleged to have been a giant race of men see Goliath as an example and I think over the years they have found some bones that were huge?????

I don 't think he is talking about man when it says sons of God, because if you keep reading in this passge it also says "...Noah was just a man, and perfect in his generation. " There would be no need to point out that Noah was only a man. I believe that he sons of God refer to angles no longer residing in heaven. Just my opinion.

In acknowledging the position Man occupies in the hierarchy of creation, he is Called Son of God. while woman that was form from the man, is described as daughters of men. Angels have never been described as son of God. for unto which of the angels saith he at any time, thou art my son? the angels are created as servants or ministering spirit and have no male or female organ. man is created as son, Lk 3.38

Mr. George Hartwell, I believe that the Holy Spirit did not mince His Word referring to vs 9. Vs 8 is also the 1st time the word grace is mentioned in the bible. Similar statement in Hebrews 11 by faith Noah...if only we can see as God sees. He sees our beginning n end. Wateva happens in between the devil highlights. In verse 9, it says that Noah is a just man and perfect. He doesn 't seem quite so perfect in Genesis chapter 9 verse 21. He was drunk and naked in his tent. Was this acceptable behaviour in biblical times? I find this quite offensive. My wife, however, thinks that I am being a little harsh since what a man does in his own tent is his own business. Listen, when it talks about Giants in the earth in the bible it 's talking about demons not angels because I guess some may not realize but Hell is in the earth and also are demons and guess what some demons are very big.

I believe that the sons of God referred to in Genesis 6 are angels that were in the process of falling from that status to demonic They are fallen angels who were trying to deceive the whole humanity and that are also referred to in Jude 1 6 7

In verse 7 especially it appears quite clear what God s intent is In addition it is quite clear that this would of necessitate a whole earth flood and not a partial flood

Hi Kiganda I have referenced the sons of God in the book of Job Everyone of them are angels not necessarily fallen angels but sons of God none the less When we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal savior with our whole heart We become sons of God and we are born again into God s family through what is called adoption Job 1 6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD and Satan came also among them Job 2 1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD Job 38 7 When the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy In the new testament the book of Jude verse 6 speaks of the angels that kept not their first estate This is a strange statement All angels mentioned in scripture are males Jesus implied that angels are not given in marriage but that does not mean that rebellious angels did not have the power to change their bodies to procreate

i am still doing research about Genesis6:1-4,but i don't believe that it was angels that came from heaven and get marriege,cause the angels can't have sex! ok,if they did it,are they still sons of God? and why the writer used the word "sons of God and yet we have in mind that those were rebelious angels?

To reply to Jason about Gen.6:2. I would say I did not believe that angels could transform themselves to procreate with women, but now I do. I found that Gen.3:15 indicates that the serpent (later to be revealed as Satan), had seed (DNA). I found that interesting considering that the beast of Revelation is some kind of genetic being brought about by Satan. We know that Satan can transform himself into an angel of light. God himself is doing the talking in Gen.3:15 when he said to the serpent "thy seed". So I don't see heresy in this teaching. The first 4 letters of Genesis is where we get the word genetics which in our day has a lot to do with DNA. I also would agree with Sprig's comment about verse 2 on 9/17/2013, 1:08pm...

Noah set an excellent example in obedience to Jehovah God. Even though he was given a new task and instructions that he may not have understood fully, he showed complete faith and trust in God. God's thoughts and ways are higher than our thoughts and ways and so some of the things that God may command us we will not fully understand. If we want to have God's blessing we must fully trust in Him and obey his commandments.

to jason, the bible clearly teaches the sons of God were angelic beings, read job,jude,2peter, they left there first estate,heaven,and went after strange flesh,folly,angels naturally dont have sex,but these chose to do so against nature,in the book of job the sons of God appear before God with satan,its heresy to believe the sons of seth theory as its not in the bible,along with evey other civilisation recording celestial beings coming down and mating with women,just read the bible n believe what it says not what you want it to say

I fell into this trap by thinking it was the angels that slept with women, it was there in my face, i argued with people cause i was so convinced that i was right and that angels did have sex, but then i actually started to study and look it up for myself, with prayer and study, God has shown me that angels having sex is a false doctrine, theres loads of scripture that will prove this doctrine wrong. when Jesus drove out demons, does the bible say He drove out Sons of God..nope. It is heresey!! Seek and you will find.

I am deeply stirred at the thought of Almighty God, Creator of everything, being grieved in His heart (as only a Lover can be). How grieved, then, must He be today; with every part of the world filled, again, with ever-increasing violence. I can only say, Come, Lord Jesus! Come quickly!

There are two arguments here. Seth and cain's kids v.s. angels and man's kids. For those who have chose a view i entreat you to ignore your opinion and read the verse in genesis, then fully study out the view point of the one you DO NOT believe. Read every pro-argument against your standing on the subject then and only then compare your original belief. By then regardless of your original standing you will be an expert in both views as well as obtaining the blaring truth of which actually took place...christ said the truth will set you free. Only the earthly creatures were created as male and female, not the angels. Devils are fallen "angels" who were neither male nor female in the worldly sense. Therefore neither the angels in heaven nor the fallen angels have any sex interests. Moreover, the rebellious angels can never be called "sons of God". The men of Sodom and Gomorrah wanted to have "sex" with the angels who visited Lot, not because the angels desired so, but those brutish men thought that they were real men. So the only rational explanation is that the lineage of Seth was described here as the "sons of God" that of Cain as the "daughters of men".
