Yes Glenn - very sad but very real. And you probably remember that the first sign of divisions took place in Corinth (see 1 Corinthians 1:10-13).
Here the Corinthian Church began to factionalize, probably emphasizing certain teachings, or even the preaching abilities that were seen in those mentioned (Paul, Apollos, Cephas, Christ). Briefly, these factions looked at Paul (as the Liberty Party: Galatians 5:1); Apollos (as the Intellectual & Eloquent Party: Acts 18:24-28); Cephas (as the Judaizing Party, clinging to many Jewish ceremonial duties, unlike Paul: Galatians 2:11-16); and Christ (as the Exclusive Party, having contempt for all human teachers bar Christ - allusion to this in 2 Corinthians 10:7).
Even though some may not agree with the above very general description, the fact remains that divisions based on personality & teaching began to develop even in the early Church. Should it be any wonder that two thousand years later, things would not get any better? As you study each denomination, you will see this common thread running through them, which has brought about separation, declaring 'we are the only ones with the Truth'. If it were not for the Holy Spirit indwelling only the truly saved, we could well think like them & believe that we are the only holders of Truth. But God has His own people in every place & in every denomination & for some there, they are still being exercised in mind & spirit to learn the Truth by reading God's Word for themselves & to leave when falsehood is preached or the Bible disregarded. We ought to pray for one another that we will not fall prey to the deceptions of the evil one & in forgetting to search the Scriptures.
Most know God is good , and so is his Holy Spirit .
But are we Good trees or bad trees ?
If we have the Holy Spirit we have the power to be good trees .
A Good tree can not bare bad fruit , a bad tree can not bear good fruit . Said Jesus and Apostles .
A few examples , of good fruit ; love others Be kind , merciful to others , even enemies , give to those in need , time our money , etc . Share the truth with others . Live a spotless or holy life . Not exceptOmg evil as good or be indifferent to it , no compromises. The list is longer but this should be the character of our lives in general , can we make errors and mistakes? Yes but they do not characterize our life . Confession to the Lord of these is always excepted when sincere.
I'm not correcting you just adding to what fruit is in the believer .
I am come to set a man at variance against his father. This was not the Savior's object, but the effect. The conversion of individual members of the family would cause variance. In nearly all quarrels, except those about religion, the members of the same family stand together, but in religious feuds the family circle is often broken and its parts arrayed against each other.
Wesley's Notes for Mark 7:22
Wickedness - The word means ill natured, cruelty, inhumanity, and all malevolent affections. Foolishness - Directly contrary to sobriety of thought and discourse: all kind of wild imaginations and extravagant passions.
One sign that you have received the holy spirit is the presence of the fruit of the Spirit. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. ... Growth takes time, and you can be patient with yourself as you grow in the fruit of the Spirit.
12 FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The 12 fruits are charity (or love), joy, peace, patience, benignity (or kindness), goodness, longanimity (or long-suffering), mildness (or gentleness), faith, modesty, continency (or self-control), and chastity.
Gods Nature=
Omnipotence - God is all-powerful - everything consistent with God's nature is possible. Omniscience - God is all-knowing, of past, present and future. Omnibenevolence - God is all-good/all-loving. Omnipresence - God is present everywhere.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
This creates a environment free of Jealousy, hate, and debates etc. all the things that can cause health issues. Also, people will feel this. Show love; people will since this.
Jehovah's is a spirit ( Psalm 83:18; John 4:24). and he made his Angels spirits ( psalm 104:4);
and he blew his spirit into Adam nostril "the breath of life." when a men or human dies, his breath goes out. and the spirit returns to God (not the flesh itself.. because the body is flesh made from dust - Genesis 2:7).
the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, these qualities is his spirit. this he has created men in his image to display these qualities to take care of the earth. -
Galatians 5:22,23
According to Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus said go therefore baptizing in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit (the accurate term is holy spirit because John 4:24 accurately says spirit). Also, Jesus is not God ( John 5:19) but he was raised up as a spirit again; and he is a Angel.- John 14:28
Point: God can give his spirit to anyone to serve his purpose- Luke 1:35. if we worship God, we must worship with spirit and truth- john 4:24. anyone who want to worship in truth...should believe in the word of God ( 2 Timothy 3:16,17). by this God will give his spirit and truth will speak.
To illustrate: person 1, person 2, and person 3 are all different people. God will and can give his spirit to person 2 to carry out a particular task. God may want person 2 to completes that task fully. he may use person 3 or person 1 to do something completely different or accomplish the same purpose. (so yes the spirit basically belongs to God, because he is a spirit and the source of distributing that spirit to accomplish his purpose.- Genesis 1:1,26,27 ). no human can force God to do this or that. he is the boss of the spirit.- Isaiah 43:11-13
I enjoy our dialogue on scripture although we my have differences in the interpretation.
You state: NOW 1 JOHN 2:3-6. This is not the 10 commandments,
I see it clearly as the 10 Commandments.
You state: If so consider Galatians 5:3-4. and if you are under the law you'll need the temple built to do vain sacrifices that could never save.
The 10 commandments DO NOT include the old laws such as circumcision and temple sacrifice.
So in essence you seem to say that you do not believe that you need to follow God's 10 commandments. Is this true? Please consider the following scripture of Jesus coming to judge all of us.
Revelation 22:12-16
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city
So, Jesus says:" Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city". Do you believe this scripture?
quoting you: "Yes, we need to commit as Christians to walk with Christ and are instructed to in many various scripture throughout the bible." WHERE DID YOU GET THE IDEA I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THAT?
The portion you pulled out of my comment was the first sentence of part 2. You should have considered the 1st sentence of part 1 as well then we would be keeping the discussion in a direct orderly fashion.
Here is the opening sentence of part 1. Is our atonement forever or once Christ freed us it's up to us to Atone for ourselves? Here is part 2. Some would argue once Christ saved us it's up to us to remain saved. My question to that group is can you do that and How? The emphasis here is if Christ offered the perfect sacrifice "ONCE" and for all to atone for our sins, If one believes the atonement isn't once and for all and sins again "which we all do"
How do he re-atone himself when there is no more sacrifice? Can he offer Good works when works of the law could never cleans you. Brother Dan I posted a lot of Scripture that you seem to bypass, If those scriptures doesn't mean what I seem to believe why don't you start off with each one of them and tell us what they do mean.
you've posted 2 scriptures, I will deal with Revelation 22:12-14. first.
HERE IS THE WORK.
John 6:28-29. Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Jesus answered and said unto them, ( This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.)
When that's done then this happens. Philippians 1:6. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: And this. Philippians 2:13. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
NOW 1 JOHN 2:3-6. This is not the 10 commandments, If so consider Galatians 5:3-4. and if you are under the law you'll need the temple built to do vain sacrifices that could never save.
Thank you brother S. Spencer for your very worthy comments & the Scriptures you cited. Indeed, our salvation is all of Grace, only through His Blood, & we're kept secure till we see our Saviour; 1 Peter 1:5, "Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
Our obedience & faith-generating works are manifest by the indwelling, out-working Holy Spirit. Romans 8:1; Galatians 5:16, 25.

Precious Billy, I will pray for you. Please prayerfully and carefully Consider God's Word:
God's Will, Today, Under HIS PURE GRACE? Very Simply, To "know you're going to heaven":
(1) God Establishes HIS Eternal Relationship With those who humbly:
believe, 100% trust, place Total faith, In The LORD JESUS CHRIST, HIS Death {Precious BLOOD}, Burial, And HIS Resurrection, According To The Scriptures! ( 1 Corinthians 15:3-4) ( Ephesians 2:8-9) ( Romans 3-5)
"GRACE Through faith" In The Merits Of HIS Precious And ALL-Sufficient BLOOD Results:
All sins Forgiven, HIS Eternal Life, And, Peace With God! {This Is Eternal DELIVERANCE From the PENALTY of sin!} ETERNAL Justification First, And, THEN:
(2) The believer SHOULD do "good works" {Which will NEVER EQUAL CHRIST's PAYMENT For the above PENALTY of sin!}, for Which we Are Created In CHRIST JESUS, to perform for HIM, having "been Called into fellowship With HIM!" Amen?:
We "work out OUR OWN salvation" {This SHOULD Be a lifetime of DELIVERANCE From the POWER of sin!} Sanctification:
(2a) Fulfil ALL Of His Law, In "ONE Word: LOVE your neighbor as yourself!" ( Galatians 5:14) ( Romans 13:8-10)
(2b) Study HIS Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided, to show yourself Approved Unto God! ( 2 Timothy 2:15) - Have Plenty of examples of this, if you wish...
Eternal Results: reward {or loss} ( 1 Corinthians 3:7-15), ruling and reigning With CHRIST, Which Will FINALLY Be At The Judgment Day:
(3) CHRIST's GLORIFICATION of All "members" Of HIS Body!! {This Is Eternal DELIVERANCE From the PRESENCE of sin!} = "Going TO HEAVEN!" Amen?
Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, and Edified!
On the surface it seems that Love is what we are told to do, Actually it's what we are "CAUSED" to do!! This bond is only accomplished by the Holyspirit.
By this we function.
By this the law is written in our hearts.
By this the Law is fulfilled.
Romans 13:8-10. Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
LOVE WORKETH NO ILL TO HIS NEIGHBOUR: THEREFORE LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW.
Galatians 5:13-14. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
FOR ALL THE LAW IS FULFILLED IN ONE WORD, EVEN IN THIS; THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF.
1 John 4:21. And this commandment have we from him, THAT HE WHO LOVETH GOD "LOVE HIS BROTHER ALSO." By this the commandments would be fulfilled ( LOVE WORKETH NO ILL TO HIS NEIGHBOUR:)
If we Love God we ( WILL ) Love our Brothern.
Isn't it amazing we tare one another apart about whether we should keep the commandments or not and we neglect the spirit behind the task.

Precious friend, Ron, I will pray for you; since you asked: "What are we to do? I'm not sure any more"? For this confusion, here are Three Scriptural things "to do":
......................................... The Gospel of GRACE:
God Establishes HIS Eternal "Relationship" With those who humbly believe, 100% trust, place Total faith, In The LORD JESUS CHRIST, HIS Death {Precious BLOOD}, Burial, And HIS Resurrection, According To The Scriptures! ( 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3-5) = "GRACE Through faith" In The Merits Of HIS Precious And ALL-Sufficient BLOOD Results:

(2) The believer SHOULD do "good works" {Which will NEVER EQUAL CHRIST's PAYMENT For the above PENALTY of sin!}, for Which we Are Created In CHRIST JESUS, to perform for HIM, having "been Called into 'fellowship' With HIM!" Amen?:
We "work out OUR OWN salvation" {This SHOULD Be a lifetime of DELIVERANCE From the POWER of sin!} Sanctification:
(2a) Fulfil ALL Of His Law, In "ONE Word: LOVE your neighbor as yourself!" ( Galatians 5:14; Romans 13:8-10)
(2b) Study HIS Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided, to show thyself Approved Unto God! ( 2 Timothy 2:15) {Several helpful "studies" available, IF you wish...}
Eternal Results: reward {or loss} ( 1 Corinthians 3:8-15), ruling and reigning With CHRIST, Which Will FINALLY Be At That Judgment Day:
(3) CHRIST's GLORIFICATION of All "members" Of HIS Body!! {This Is Eternal DELIVERANCE From the PRESENCE of sin!} Amen?
Precious friend, Ron, Please Be RICHLY Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, and Edified!!
Job Auta Fruit is an indicator of spiritual growth and spiritual growth is determined on what you keep in your mind and act on. Things to put in mind Philippians 4:6, 4:8, Ephesians 4:22-32, 2 Peter 1:1-8 notice verse 8 for if these things be in you and abound they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Look at Galatians 5:22-25 is the product of what we put on in the mind and walk in with believing action. In His Service

I would like to offer another perspective to your comment: "And once you are saved, you cannot lose your salvation no matter what you do!"
I ask, is this true? If true, I would love to commit sins tonight just for fun, because no consequence. Would love to do drugs, have an affair, go to certain clubs to party, maybe even get in a fight, because if we're saved no matter what it wouldn't matter and God would still reward me?
So, is this true that it's from God and not from satan? Before I do that I would first need to find it in clearly scripture and no other scripture would contradict it. So, if I look through the Bible for evidence, I find the following:
1 Peter 1:13 "...hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"
This suggests grace won't be given until Jesus comes- maybe even after we're judged. But people are telling me I'm saved and have grace now, so which is true? Does anywhere else in the Bible say that?
1 Peter 1:5 - "...salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
Ok, I guess it does. So, we're not 'saved' yet, huh?
Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"
James 2:14-26 "...faith, if it hath not works, is dead..."
James 2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."
So, believing alone isn't enough? So, maybe faith and actions matter?
Romans 11
John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
Matthew 12:31-32
Romans 14:12
1 Cor 9:24-27 "run the race", not the 'race was already won.'
But many people are telling me the race is already won and that I can party. So, who is right: God's Word or man's word?
2 Peter 3:17
Luke 8:5-18
1 Timothy 4:1
2 Peter 2:20-22
Hebrews 3:12
Galatians 5:4
1 Corinthians 15:2-8
1 Corinthians 9:26-27 - this suggests 'trying' is good.
Evidence showing I should NOT commit sin. God bless...

RLW: "we will be here and we must be prepared":
Now, this is quite interesting, what is your take, RLW, on three of your so-called "prophecy Experts," who Will Be Here, and the "way THEY teach to be prepared"?:
(1) says to {SELFishly?} "hoard UP SEVEN years worth of food for the coming famine"
(2) says to "FLEE from the cities to the protection of the RURAL areas"
(3) says to "FLEE from the U.S. To the safety of Ethiopia"???
(4) maybe you have "another idea" for preparedness?
--------------------------------
Now, those of us, In The Body Of CHRIST:
(A) who are looking, watching, and waiting patiently For The LORD JESUS CHRIST ( 2 Thessalonians 2:1) ( Romans 8:18-19) ( Romans 8:23) ( Romans 8:25) ( 1 Corinthians 1:7) ( Ephesians 6:12-18) ( Philippians 3:20) ( Colossians 4:1-3) ( 1 Thessalonians 1:10) ( 1 Thessalonians 5:5-11) ( Titus 2:13)
(B) To Take us home to Heaven ( 2 Corinthians 5:1) ( 2 Corinthians 5:2) ( Ephesians 1:3) ( Ephesians 1:20) ( Ephesians 2:6) ( Philippians 3:20) ( Colossians 1:5) ( 2 Timothy 4:18)
Believe OUR "preparation" should be to:
(1) Stay where God Has Called us, preaching The Gospel Of GRACE ( 1 Corinthians 15:3-4) ( Ephesians 2:8-9), to the lost,
(2) "studying" God's Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided ( 2 Timothy 2:15), avoiding ALL of the above Confusion, And:
(3) Using our {God-Given} resources to, In "ONE WORD - LOVE our neighbor" ( Galatians 5:14) ( Romans 13:8-10), and {UNselfishly!} teaching/helping those in need!! ALL in "preparation" for:
(C) Judgment ( 1 Corinthians 3:7-15) for "rewards" for these! Amen?
Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened,Exhorted, and Edified!
Technically, faith has always been in existence. The bible tells us in Galatians 5:22 that faith is a fruit of God's Spirit. In other words, a human being cannot produce spiritual faith. There are two types of faith, human faith which every human being has, and then there's faith that the bible speaks of which can only produced by God's Spirit. in our own human effort, we cannot produce spiritual faith. I say that faith has always been in existence because I believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit.
The word faith in the bible comes from the word PEITHO, and it literally means persuasion. It is the presence and activity of God's Spirit in a believer that persuades them to do the things of the Lord. That's what faith is, persuasion! You can ask 10 people to describe faith and what it means, and you will probably get 10 different answers. But if we understand that faith means persuasion, and we say we have faith, what we are saying is that we are under the persuasion (Faith) of God's Spirit. When He persuades us to do something, that's faith!
In Romans Chapter 4, we see Abraham and Sarah were past the age of bearing children, but God made a promise to Abraham and Abraham was persuaded that God would keep His promise as we see in Romans 4:21.
That's what faith is. It's believing God, that if He says it in His word, that He's going to use us as His people, He is perfectly capable and has the ability to do it. We believe God because it is His Spirit in us that persuades us to believe. Faith is not me doing it. That's works. If it's in my own human effort, that's religion and it's works.
If we keep in mind that faith literally means persuasion, once we take that approach, all the frustration of trying get our walk with the Lord right will fade away. The more we trust the Lord to do it (Faith/Persuasion), the better off we will be. When we fully trust in the Lord, God's Spirit moves in a great way!
The Lord didn't send his disciples out until they were filled with the Holyspirit!!
The Lord "GIFTED" His church with ministers. (branches) and he is filling them with fruit to prosper "THE" Ministry.
Galatians 5:22-26. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
IF WE LIVE IN THE SPIRIT, LET US ALSO WALK IN THE SPIRIT.
((( LET US NOT BE DESIROUS OF VAIN GLORY, PROVOKING ONE ANOTHER, ENVYING ONE ANOTHER!!!.)
The lust of the flesh and vain Glory keeps us in contention.
The Lord "gifted" the Church with ect.
Ephesians 4:11-12. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the PERFECTING OF THE SAINTS, for the work of the ministry, FOR THE EDIFYING OF THE BODY OF CHRIST:
Are we edifying the body on the site?
I'm not much of a teacher compared to some on this site, that's why I differ to them by not trying to answer all the questions right away.
BECAUSE I know there's some more GIFTED to answer. SOME PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ON THIS SITE FOR YEARS DOING A GREAT JOB. This is why I refresh questions to bring it back to the top of the page Knowing they can provide a better answer.
UNITY.
Ephesians 4:13-14. TILL WE ALL COME IN THE UNITY OF ( THE )FAITH, AND OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SON OF GOD, UNTO A PERFECT MAN, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
It's Sad to witness this attack from within.
The only one to receive Glory is Christ!
Let's conduct ourselves orderly in the truth and let the truth divide, Not our fleshly VAIN Glory desires.
This comment room is a discussion, not a competition; which is a spirit. The opposite of reasoning is dissension.
Let us be spiritual and discerning.
I do not know Hebrew and Greek, and I appreciate those who do. I defer to their competence.
1 Peter 1:22
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1 Peter 3:8
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
Galatians 5:13
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
1 John 3:14
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
1 Thessalonians 5:25
Brethren, pray for us.
I find it helpful to read Commentaries to see what others thought, on certain passages. In the Book of Genesis, it greatly helps to be studying out of a KJV Bible Study/Reference Bible. The ones with a CENTER OF EACH PAGE reference column.
I pause and read the references to other like references for additional information and prophecies (fulfilled or yet to be fulfilled). It takes inner resolve to do extra studying to see the Whole Picture of a certain event. THEN I ASK the Holy Spirit to teach how it applies to the Church today. I don't buy books written by individuals. We've been given God the Holy Spirit to teach us. That's one of His Ministries to the Body of Christ: teach, reprove, convict, comfort, heal, oil of joy.
Precious friend, James, I would suggest Main Focus to be on this, while lying "prostrate Before God":
Is not the Solution to Confusion recognizing God's Differences Between "HIS Relationship With us," And "our fellowship with HIM!"?
God's Will, Today, Under HIS PURE GRACE? Very Simply:
Eternal Results: reward {or loss} ( 1 Corinthians 3 : 7-15), ruling and reigning With CHRIST, Which Will FINALLY Be At The Judgment Day:
(3) CHRIST's GLORIFICATION of All "members" Of HIS Body!! {This Is Eternal DELIVERANCE From the PRESENCE of sin!} Amen?
----------------------------------
Conclusion:
BIG Differences Between God's Relationship And our fellowship! Correct?
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. - Galatians 6:7-9
I personally believe that's a law of God, just like the law of gravity. If a farmer sows corn, you can be sure that he'll reap corn. If he sows wheat, he'll reap wheat. My friend, as a believer, if you are sowing to the flesh, you "will of the flesh reap corruption." There is no way around it.
Now, the child of God does not have to produce these things. We can produce the fruit of the Spirit. God has another principle:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. - Galatians 5:22, 23
You can't produce these fruit by following the Law; in fact, there is not one of these lovely fruits that you can produce on your own. We are totally incapable; it can only be produced by the Holy Spirit."For the fruit of the Spirit,"Paul says in Ephesians 5:9,"is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth."You can know whether you are living by the flesh or living in the power, in the fullness, of the Holy Spirit by seeing if He is producing these fruits in your life.
Jesus said,"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."- John 15:4, 5
If you were not raised in the country, you may not know that in every fruit orchard, there is always something else that tries to overcome the fruit. In nature, slugs and bugs and stinkweeds all attempt to crowd out the fruit. And in the life of the believer, there are always things that will attempt to crowd out the fruit of the Spirit. In other words, it's quite possible that the weeds grow and the fruit will not be produced. Paul spoke of that very thing in Galatians 5:17-
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
The flesh wants to have its way and is actually in competition against the Holy Spirit. So there is a danger of producing something besides fruit. And that which the flesh produces is not something that God can use; it's not fruit at all.
Paul himself experienced that struggle and described it in Romans 7:15:
For what I am doing[the new man wanted to produce fruit], I do not understand[the old nature would not do it].
You can be a child of God and be producing works of the flesh in your life, and if you are, you are not living by the Spirit of God. And I can tell you, if the works of the flesh are appearing in your life, you are a discontented and troublemaking child of God.
Hi Norman, I believe that these would be some of the words we all need in our lives on a daily basis, God bless
Galatians 5:13-26 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
Oseas I have yet to see a reply from you that's all positive and shares scripture like Phil. 4:8, James 3:17, Galatians 5:20, I'm very aware of our enemies tactics and our spiritual warfare, I choose not to give Him any more attention than He's already got besides people need to Hear more about the love of God in Christ. Remember Romans 2:4 its the goodness of God that leadeth to repentance, Jesus Christ taught and displayed Gods Love and light, that was the attraction, not if you don't believe this your toast. Something to consider. He loved the unlovable, I at one time was in that category. By His Grace I've been spared. God Bless
John 2112-17 WHO DO WE LOVE - In Reply - 3 years ago
I was responding to the posts about 1 Thess: 4:17, 18
The Rapture; Caught Up; In the Clouds
End of Days
I am an Evangelist. I see lambs, sheep, wolves, hirelings and those called to be shepherds.
I'm just going to leave it at that and ask God to raise up more shepherds who care for the Sheep. To guide, in one accord, all those who want to know what the Caught Up is, and how to be a participant in that?
Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another
Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Peter 4:9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. All of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and gives grace to the humble.
Ephesians 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.
Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love & good works.
The desire for Jesus is in you already. The Bible is the Word of God. Like these following scriptures show us: with your own spoken words, ask the Holy Spirit to make His home within your heart, To be your Teacher. Thats his ministry to you. You will know He is teaching you. Open your mouth and speak: "Holy Spirit, come alongside and teach me what this passage means?"
Begin in the Gospels and stay in there until you know who Jesus is to you; what he likes; doesn't like; listen to his replies to people. How does he love?
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remem-brance, whatsoever I have said to you.
Luke 12:12
For the Holy Ghost shall TEACH you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
2 Timothy 2:24
And the servant of the Lord must NOT strive; but be GENTLE unto all men, APT TO TEACH, PATIENT,
1 Timothy 6:3-4
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
If we often reprove our own children; point out errors, short comings, lazy worthless etc. Their hearts will be hardened, and stolen by the Devil. Don't be that kind of teacher.
THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRT
Galatians 5: 22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
1 Corinthians 13: 12-13
What Kids Want: Transparency.
NOW we see through a glass, DARKLY, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I AM KNOWN. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is Love.
I agree with Dianne that Christ never leaves us. Guilt and shame can be one of two things: God's Spirit in you bringing conviction to your heart about the sin you are/were involved in, or God's Spirit is bringing conviction to draw you closer to Him, and to cause you to surrender your life to Him. I don't know if you've received Christ. Only you and the Lord know that.
The bible teaches that a person who's been born of God's Spirit can no longer sin (Habitually) because the Spirit in them prevents that from happening. 1 John Chapter 3 Verse 9 says, and I'll give it to you literally from the Greek text. It says "Whosoever has been born of God does not (practice) sin; for God's seed remains, or abides (Permanently) in him: and he cannot sin, that is, he does not have the capacity to sin because he has been born of God.
A person's considered a sinner because the spirit of the devil energizes them to fulfil the desires of their flesh. But once that person is born of the Spirit of God, they no longer have the capacity to continue to satisfy a lifestyle of sin. It's impossible for them to continue in sin. Paul explains it partly in Galatians 5:17 where he says, "For the flesh lusts against God's Spirit, and the Spirit is against the flesh."
That tells me is that I have this conflict going on. In my spirit, I'm saved. But my flesh is not redeemed and still has the same desires it had before I was saved. For believers, there's constant conflict between the flesh and the Spirit of Christ in them. If God's Spirit did not live inside of me, I'd be gone! And that's why God puts His Spirit in a believer's life.
It's more than just in our mind that we believe the truth about Jesus. When we are born of the Spirit of God, His Spirit comes into our life and makes sure that we remain His until He comes for us because our propensity is to go out and do whatever we want. That's why people don't surrender to Christ. It's because they can't do what they want to do anymore!
Thanks .
Omnipresence - God is present everywhere.
variance mean..?
Galatians 5:14 (KJV)
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
This creates a environment free of Jealousy, hate, and debates etc. all the things that can cause health issues. Also, people will feel this. Show love; people will since this.
Good reminder for all ( John 3:16,17)
Is the Holy Spirit a person?
Jehovah's is a spirit ( Psalm 83:18; John 4:24). and he made his Angels spirits ( psalm 104:4);
and he blew his spirit into Adam nostril "the breath of life." when a men or human dies, his breath goes out. and the spirit returns to God (not the flesh itself.. because the body is flesh made from dust - Genesis 2:7).
the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, these qualities is his spirit. this he has created men in his image to display these qualities to take care of the earth. -
Galatians 5:22,23
(so yes the spirit basically belongs to God, because he is a spirit and the source of distributing that spirit to accomplish his purpose.- Genesis 1:1,26,27 ). no human can force God to do this or that. he is the boss of the spirit.- Isaiah 43:11-13
hope these scriptures help.
God Bless.
quoting you: "Yes, we need to commit as Christians to walk with Christ and are instructed to in many various scripture throughout the bible." WHERE DID YOU GET THE IDEA I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THAT?
God bless.
Our obedience & faith-generating works are manifest by the indwelling, out-working Holy Spirit. Romans 8:1; Galatians 5:16, 25.

God bless.

IMKane, hope this was helpful answering your Great questions.
Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, And Edified!

Amen?

Ephesians 4:11-12. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
It's Sad to witness this attack from within.
The only one to receive Glory is Christ!
Let's conduct ourselves orderly in the truth and let the truth divide, Not our fleshly VAIN Glory desires.
God bless.
God bless us, Mishael
Is not the Solution to Confusion recognizing God's Differences Between "HIS Relationship With us," And "our fellowship with HIM!"?
God's Will, Today, Under HIS PURE GRACE? Very Simply:

Conclusion:
BIG Differences Between God's Relationship And our fellowship! Correct?
Part 2 of 3.
Paul was speaking to believers when he said:
Part 3 coming.
Part 1.

The desire for Jesus is in you already. The Bible is the Word of God. Like these following scriptures show us: with your own spoken words, ask the Holy Spirit to make His home within your heart, To be your Teacher. Thats his ministry to you. You will know He is teaching you. Open your mouth and speak: "Holy Spirit, come alongside and teach me what this passage means?"
Begin in the Gospels and stay in there until you know who Jesus is to you; what he likes; doesn't like; listen to his replies to people. How does he love?

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remem-brance, whatsoever I have said to you.

For the Holy Ghost shall TEACH you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
2 Timothy 2:24
And the servant of the Lord must NOT strive; but be GENTLE unto all men, APT TO TEACH, PATIENT,
1 Timothy 6:3-4
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
1 Corinthians 13: 12-13
What Kids Want: Transparency.
NOW we see through a glass, DARKLY, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I AM KNOWN. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is Love.
Mishael
