I use Galations 5:22 and 23, as a test for me, in relationships and experiences, especially when dealing with family. We can not lead, where we do not walk. As a radio operator calls in heavy artillery when the battle rages against us by the enemy of our souls, so must we remain in conscious prayer for our own responses and standing,to be effective in our service, as, Christian, to all.
My dear works alone don't save anyone, neither does faith alone. Grace is what saves, but a person is saved by grace through faith Ephesians 2:8 . And how does one knows that one is truly a partaker of grace through faith? By one's works. Faith without works is dead, Works alone won't get anyone into Heaven, but no one will be in Heaven who didn't have "faith which WORKS by love." Galatians 5:6
My dear, works don't save anyone by itself , neither does faith by itself . Grace is what saves, but a person must lay hold of grace by faith. And how is it one knows that a person is, through faith, a true partaker of grace? By their works. Faith without works is dead. Works won't take anyone to Heaven, but no one will be in Heaven who didn't have "faith which WORKS by love." Galatians 5:6
It exposes the lies we tell each other regarding the sins we commit. No sin is okay and another is wrong. Jehovah abhors all sin regardless of man's acceptance and practices! His doctrines will not change. Be you, drunkard, homosexual, liar, thief, pedophile, murderer or indulgent in other sins, you are against God and can not enter into heaven! People saying otherwise are fools for Satan!
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith..... What is your interpretation of longsuffering??
I know, but if Jesus himself says follow the commandments if you want eternal life. Secondly, you quoted that Jesus died on the cross for our sins rejects Galatians 5:6 where it says every man shall bear his burden responsible for his deeds, sins .
there was a between these statements. people run here and there looking, running well. but if you run the wrong direction, what hinders you? Satan leads us down the wrong path. truth leads us the right way.
Kevin Pfaunmiller, read from the KJV Bible these scriptures, Matthew 5:28Leviticus 7:15 18:6 1 John 2:16James 1:14-15Galatians 5:16. Lust is mentioned 19 times in the King James Bible.
scriptures the married women paster had mentioned, it was about giving 2 others building up the community that she lived in. also using her paychecks 2 help others so they can grow up. she was teaching 2 not think that she was above others in her community but she felt she was there 2 serve. she discussed every part of galatians how she used it to help serve her community.

My brother is going through the same thing that I went through in 2013. Although his addiction is slightly worse than mine was with a different drug, it s all the same. This chapter brings it all into perspective, with my new outlook on life.I hope my brother is able to push through with the help of his family and friends, Amen
this a very wonderful scripture. nowadays, believers don't bear fruits because sin has centre stage their lives. we are living ungodly lives. how can God reign where there is sin. the is clear verse 25. if we live in the Spirit let us also also walk in the Spirit.
Being led of the Spirit means that you have no license for self-serving behavior. It does mean that the Holy Spirit within is listing to war against the works of the flesh. You must take up arms in the battle of love and holiness
One that Looked Good and now babbling about no oxygen from smoking all them cigarettes hoping to find The Fountain of Youth: There's no Such fountain / There is a Fountain at The Cross, Where All Can be Made New( 2 Corinthians 5:17) Works of The Flesh( Galatians 5:19-21) Thou Shall Not Suffer a Witch to Live( Exodus 22:18)
I have attained some of the fruits of the spirit through prayer. One must put on armor to defend ourselves from the sins of the flesh. coming from all directions and facets of life.I have seen both sides being a bit of a fencesitter but Jesus is the Truth and the only way.
For Brethen ye have called unto Liberty. Only not use Liberty in all occasions to the flesh but by love serve one another. Thank you Jesus for your love and mercy help me Jesus to forgive and forget for you my Jehovah is Love remove any hatred that sometimes played in my mind let your Holy Spirit cleanse me oh Lord for you are the one who made me victorious deliver us from the defeated enemy amen
I find Galatians 5 to serve as a blueprint, in many ways, because Paul reiterates on what Jesus taught regarding the things we must do, and not do, to inherit the Kingdom of God. In this chapter, the Word is made plain with no parables to decipher, plus, Paul identifies each vice separately, so there should be no confusion as to what's acceptable and what is not. Thank you for fixing the volume
How do we know its an Apple Tree, or an Orange Tree? Because of its fruit! How does God know that we are saved and really in the Good Tree? By the fruit! Not every one who says, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of God, but he that does the will of the Father. If we love Jesus we will necessarily also DO what He says. If we have His Spirit and grace really working in us, then we will reflect it!
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." A law is a rule or set of rules for good behavior which is considered right and important; a law is a natural process in which a particular event or thing always leads to a particular result. We do those things that ESTABLISH the rules of good behavior.
I had some thoughts I wanted to share with you. I hope they come over clearly enough as I had kind of a hard time finding just how to put in words. I think the point has to do with where we place our faith... on outward observance of the Law, and putting ourselves under a yoke that actually can misrepresent the character and nature of our grace and peace in Christ, with respect also to our place won by Christ's shed blood and sacrifice to redeem us to God and enact our Adoption as children, over servants that we were before.
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." The Lord Jesus said many times about how "...you shall have whatsoever you say " and in the minds of most of us, that tremendous word has been a great inspiration and encouragement both for every trial and difficulty that we should encounter and for the unsearchable wonder of His open invitation to ask WHATSOEVER WE DESIRE when we pray! In the context of what the Apostle is teaching here, our speech and confession coroborates our very standing in God's sight by the form of our religion. As with all of God's truth, the "tip of the iceberg" as we may first come to see, is still part of the whole, which is far greater and deeper than can immediately be seen. The power and authority that God has given to man to pronounce in faith, to bring things about, we are still far from fully grasping. But this is what is implied in the things and manners we take as our religion.
"If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." We ARE under Law to Christ: The Law of the Spirit of Life! We are in a war against the lusts of the flesh, which work to deceive us into sinning. We LIVE IN THE SPIRIT! Our weapons are not carnal, but mighty through God TO THE PULLING DOWN OF STRONGHOLDS! We are under Charge of God to CAST DOWN IMAGINATIONS and to control our thoughts!
