Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
4 Such confidence we have through Christ before God. 5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.
  • John on Galatians 4 - 6 years ago
3 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? 2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

As a christian we should always follow Christ our savior because we are free children of God. We should never follow the slave children path which means we should not follow the anti- Christ people, we should try and help them to be Christians so that they can receive the gift we are receiving as a child of God.

By faith isaac was formed in Sarah,NOW Christ is gonna be formed in us by faith, its like a spritual pregnancy But in the spritual realm the fetus is th H.G.Y He always refers to himself as the son of man,When a woman is pregnant she has the substance of things hoped for the EVIDENCE of things not seen which is the fetus, but now the fetus is the H.G.That which is born of the SPIRIT IS SPIRIT GBU.

Alex; Brother, I can see that you are thinking a lot about what you read, and are very serious about seeking to understand the Scriptures; but there are some things you're not getting right just yet. We ARE the Heirs with Christ. The Holy Spirit is the Paraclete given into our hearts to sanctify us, and to lead and guide us into all Truth; so that we can be Jesus' witnesses to convict the world.
  • Alex on Galatians 4 - 7 years ago
Gal 4 speaks of the heir.but we are NOT the heir, its the H.G that is the true Heir, Jesus said that which is born of the spirit is SPIRIT which is our new innerman that has to be born in us via his seed the WORD, WE ARE JUST A JOINT HEIR IF WE BIRTH CHRIST IN OUR LIVES, THE SON OF MAN, which is the essence of the new covenant,i will put my Words in their hearts and minds initiating a New Birth.
  • Alex on Galatians 4 - 7 years ago
Gal 4 is the new covenant which is christ in you via that good seed, the word the very essence of the new covenant. we are gonna birth christ in our hearts which is the H.G. THE CHILD OF PROMISE,thats y the new birth is so important, being bornagain of an incorruptible seed etc CHRIST is gonna be formed in us via that good seed, them that are BORN of God CANNOT Sin,THUS THE LAW IS FULFILLED

Thank God for the new creature in Christ that never sins inside us that are born again child of God. Now the flesh will always sin because of its nature. If we feed the new creature by reading the Word of God, it will cleanse us. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. feed the new creature of God and be cleanse of sins.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 4 - 7 years ago
Galatians 4:14 And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus. If Paul wants us to think of him like a Angel of God, that is saying a lot who Paul is. The Word speaks for it self. Praise the Lord.

To be free from the condemnation of the Law is not an "opt out," or as if we can say a password and get let into the Club while the rest have to pay. If there is no real deliverance from the power of darkness, and of sin's dominion over us; then there can be no release from the condemnation of the Law. Jesus did a complete and perfect work on the cross, to save us FROM our sins, not IN our sins!
  • Lyle Lee on Galatians 4 - 7 years ago
:21-31 reveal the allegory of Abraham, being God the Father, Hagar being the Ten Commandments in stone, Sarah being the Ten Commandments in the heart, Ishmael being God's first born son Israel and Isaac being God's second born son Christianity, this allegory is repeated in Romans 9 when using the same typologies for the law of God in stone is bondage but in the heart it is libtery.
  • Lyle Lee on Romans 9 - 7 years ago
These are the two sons of God, Israel his first born and Christianity his second born, each physical child reveals the spiritual child, the first born to Abraham Ishmael the second Isaac, God's first born son Israel, his second born Christianity, this is what is being taught here as the Apostle also taught in Galatians 4:21-31 in an allegory
  • Bruce on Genesis 2 - 7 years ago
Ed:(NO) it's their-our own dark hearts! From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members. James 4:1 / I assume Abraham and his two sons may have helped a little. Galatians 4:22-31 / washed:Revelation1:5.

Vikki Mumford, Yes, it is possible to loose salvation. This is the warning of Exekiel 18. Matthew 22:14"For many are called, but few are chosen."Also: 2 Peter 2:21,2 Timothy 3:5, Galatians 4:9, Romans 8:28-31,etc. Believe God's word, and let no man deceive you. God loved Solomon a righteous man and he lost his. I hope this helps. Let scripture interpret scripture. Man's opinion means nothing!
  • Vireen on Galatians 4 - 9 years ago
Just to add to what Scott said, being free from the Law also means not under its condemnation, and that can only happen when Christ is living in us, only Christ can bring freedom from the condemnation of the law.

  • Bro.Davis on Galatians 4 - 9 years ago
Paul's writings are hard to understand if you do not understand the "law" and what the "curse" of the law is. Being under the curse was when you broke the law or did not keep it. keeping the law was not a curse to you and the law in itself was not a curse to anyone. Paul is saying that the law must be kept to not be under the curse of the law. That the Messiah Yushua Jesus came to redeem those that were under the curse of the law which was "Sin". He did not come to take away the law, but came to take away the curse sin's of those that had not kept the law. He died for our sins to be taken away, not the law to be taken away as some may believe.

In this chapter the divergent path of is explained. Will we trust in the Law given by God thru Moses, the oracles, or do we obviate the law thru Faith in the Son of God. Our faith, does it not depend on the law, for God heareth no sinners. He is a God who loves righteousness and hates the worldly man. Jacob have I loves but Esau have I hated. I think will must be ever mindful of our actions and perceptive of our inner most being so that we are acceptable in his sight. Our Faith is strengthened as we endure the hardships put in our path and still not falter in our Faith. Let every aspirant work out his own salvation by staying in the Word of Good, thereby being approved of God, the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ.

Agar born of the flesh persecuted Isaac born of the spirit . The verse ends saying- Even so it is now. Does this mean that the flesh continues to persecute the spirit even today. I would say YES. Does it have any reference to Paul 's persecution of Jesus? The flesh verses the spirit? Or am I correct on both accounts?
  • John Matlala on Galatians 4 - 9 years ago
Our Beloved Apostle Paul was more radical when writing this Letter, the question of Ten commandemnts was addreseed by His Lord, Our Lord Jesus Christ on his first public Speech, Mat5:17-18. He Said i 'm not here to put end to law but to add. And not even one letter from law will be removed until the end comes. we therefore need to be cautious about not breaking Ten Commandments which were given to Moses in Mt Sinai.

So it doesn 't mean the pastor has an excuse to rip thru the flock yelling screaming and bullying because it is how he interprets "change my voice ", perhaps there is room here for spirit o meekness?
