Henry, God wont change nor stop hating sin. He has told us in Romans 1 that gays and lesbians will not be in heaven! Where do you get your leaven from? A gay and lesbian church, which should not be Gods!
The entire world is under a curse because of the Christian church. They are trusting the law, when it clearly says in Galatians 3:10 that as many as are of the works of the law, are under a curse. Look around you, if we are not under a curse, then how do you explain what is going on in this crazy world. We have had the gospel of law and sin for 2000 years.
I disagree with all the comments posted here. This bible which we read is for nation of people that are call israelite. The gentiles that paul went to preach to are those who have been scattered and living amongst the other nations. Christ did not come to do away with the law as he sates in mathew 5 vs 17, however the law that is done away with is the sacrificial law. If you dont understand that then you are saying it is ok now to steal, covet, commit adultery. The bible tell us to get wisdom and understanding. Only an israelite can repent because it was his forefather who has received the commandments of God. Dont reply back with John 3 vs 16 either, for the World is still referring to Israel and not the earth as people beleive it to be. There are many examples in the scriptures to proove that. shalom
Supposed Christians don't realize that the entire world is under a curse because in one way or another they are putting themselves under the law and everyone else. God is not angry with the homosexuals or the abortionists. HE IS ANGRY WITH THE CHURCH, AND THINGS ARE COMING HOME TO ROOST SOON.
Well,i think that, Galatians 3 and 13 clearly tells me that Jesus has set me free from the worldly system, the way it operates, that is"i can not be cursed, molested or enchanted in any way,i can now freely use his will for my life without any agitation from the devil.
It is very important for us to walk by faith and not by sight; trusting in Christ's work on the cross, to redeem us from sin, and to restore us to right standing with God!
Its like being in a court room and under the law standing trial and then your turn comes up and the judge gets up after hearing all the charges against you and walks around the bench, stands in front of you and says, I shed my blood for this one and I have paid the price for his sins. He didn't change the law, the law is there but if you love Him and try with all your heart as a child loving Him, He died for His Children that love Him. Always ask for forgiveness and to try to stay within the law.
If you believe in Christ the law and try to walk that path with love the law becomes a guide lines. The blood that He shed for them that love Him and try with love and a good heart/mind and ask God for forgiveness will be saved. With out Him it would be very serious, so, try to convince them that you love to believe tha Jesus was the Christ and is Our LORD. He also came to show us an example and we are to try to see and be a mature Christian.
This chapter appears to be funny to me, but it is full of lessons. Just like chapter 21,God cause fear upon every enemy of his children because he fights for them. TTherefore, enemies of children of God do everything to fight children of God. If you are a child of God, God will protect you in every way. Curse can be reversed on you if you are God's child. Now, tell me why God will not want all those who hate his children not suffer or die. If you are good parent, you might do more to protect your children. So, God will not allow anyone to curse you because you are his child. Perhaps, you are living under curse, this chapter would let you know that the curse could be removed from you. Galatians 3:13 makes it plain that Jesus had taken your curses instead of you. Therefore, if anyone calls himself or herself man or woman of God and is trying to curse you, it will not work in as much you are not sinning and you are God's child. Amen
Galatians 3:16 Now to A'bra-ham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Hebrews 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of A'bra-ham.
I just noticed these comments from nearly a year ago, but feel led to add some.
God's Word is perfect. But, it takes it being translated into the 'perfect' language of a particular language in order for the translation to be 'perfect.' And the King James Version is perfect English. They did not talk backwards, we do, in a way.
While, the Holy Bible mentions the word 'tree' in Acts, which the cross of Christ was, there are many other scriptures withing the contents of the written Word of God; the Holy Bible, that clarify the fact that a piece of wood was attached across it, making that 'tree,' therefore, 'a cross.'
The importance of God's Word mentioning 'the cross' was 'a tree,' is that it serves to confirm what 'the cross' was made from. It also relates to the Lord saying, in the Old Testament, that 'cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree.'
Galatians 3: 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Regardless of that being said, ALL of mankind was already UNDER a CURSE, due to sin, which was why we needed a Saviour to die for our sins. But, Jesus, by 'hanging on a tree,' made it VIVIDLY CLEAR that, while the body in which He had come was flesh, like mankind's, He INSIDE that body was NO mere man, but was the Word, the POWER, and RIGHTEOUSNESS, of God, Who was to, by His Spirit, utterly CONSUME; BURN UP, all the sins that were laid upon Him; ALL our sins, and ALL the sins of everyone of mankind who ever was, and ever would be born into the world.
So, while in this passaage of God's Word, it mentions 'a tree,' saying:
Acts 10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on A TREE:,
there are plenty of other scriptures in the same Holy Bible that clarifies that a piece of wood was attached across it (purposed to nail his hands to it,) in that it is referred to clearly as a 'CROSS.'
Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of THE CROSS.
Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of HIS CROSS, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Ephesians 2:14 For HE is OUR PEACE, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of THE CROSS is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the POWER of God.
The CROSS of Jesus Christ is the POWER of God to us which are saved, because HE that suffered, and died, for us on it is the POWER of God:
1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, CHRIST the POWER of God, and the wisdom of God.
Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in THE CROSS of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was IN Christ, reconciling the world unto HIMSELF, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Romans Chapter 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because [he eateth] not of faith: for whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin.
If you live by the law you will be judge by the law. If you live by Faith you will be Judge by Faith. If you need to preach and practice the law than Christ died in vein. If Christ is truly inside you, he will guide your path, you do not need any law.
My 18 years old prayer request is that the Christian believers from everywhere, some day will understand from Gal.2:16,2:20,3:22-26 as well from Romans 3:22,26 with which faith we have Salvation and in which faith we are living in righteousness in front of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ. For sure with (by) faith OF Christ, Noτ by faith in Christ, as is written in original Greek Textus Receptus, but unfortunately very wrong translated as faith in Christ in most languages. Only the King James and some other English translations are giving correct meaning of this most important bible verse together with only one correct translation from Slavic languages in Serbian Vuk-Danicic translation, and Latin Vulgata and in Spanish Rheina Vallera version. When the Christian preachers and pastors will learn much more Greek language, then they will spread in correct way the Good News of Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus. Amen
Sin is very real as also Christ's amazing sacrifice because of it. If sin is a very real then is not also Christ's holiness? The bible is very clear why Christ died, for a fallen world not a perfect one! If then he died for me and for you, then the enormity of his sacrifice should also produce in us the enormity of holiness. Who then, that is a believer should ever defend sin? Never! Do we not already agree with the law that it is good? Should we (believers) agree that it is not good to murder? Should we agree that even to lust after a woman is adultery? If then we agree, then we say that it is right to keep the law. However we are transgressors and are unable to keep the law perfectly in and of ourselves. How then can we do what is impossible of ourselves? Christ answered that question climatically when he died on the cross. Do not think of yourselves that you are able to do what he did, his life was an example for all those that believe. It is no longer I which live but Christ which lives IN ME. If Christ is indeed in you or I, then does Christ sin?? Never! If we sin even still we have a mediator in heaven who forgives sin but not only forgives but provides that which we ourselves cannot-the holy spirit-or the comforter as it is written. If we say that we don't sin we are a liar so then instead of trying to keep God's eternal law, we should ask for his spirit which will keep the law for you by indwelling you. I of myself am unable to keep the law without the help of the holy spirit and if sanctified wholly, then yes, I will keep the law perfectly and like before the fall of man will be in perfect harmony with heaven above. We are to be a strange people, called out to be holy. I will never defend sin, rather I die instead. Christ tells me I can live a righteous life if I believe I can through faith in him. Amazing gift!!What love for us to contemplate!
then what did Christ die for? Was it for naught? The bible clearly tells us that Christ came not to abolish the law but to uphold it or establish it. The law reveals our sin, if not for the law how would we know sin? Jesus came to destroy sin NOT the law nor did he die so that we, his children should continue living in it(sin). The bible clearly says that faith produces works not the other way around. As I said, love is the law and with perfect love, by the indwelling spirit, you and myself can and should keep the law perfectly, if indeed the spirit is in us. "My will is that they may be sanctified wholly" If God's will is to sanctify wholly, should not we determine to attain that which he desires for us? To live, is to live for Christ, as we cannot serve 2 masters. One master is to sin and the other to Christ. What is Christ but perfect therefor "be ye perfect as your father in heaven is also perfect."
One final thought, why would we shun that which is good? why should we say no to holiness and yes to sin? "Shall we sin because of grace? Certainly not! We establish the law through Christ which strengthen us." I will choose the gift which Christ himself promised, perfect love cast out all fear or sin. Thank God!
Ken, You are right, the law is the only way to know our sin, if there were no law there would be no sin..however Christ also said, 'think NOT that I came to abolish the law (10 commandments) No, I came to establish it" he also said, "not one jot or tittle shall depart from the law." Christ came to re-establish that which sinful man could not do in his own power, keep the law-once he died upon that cross at calvary, all ceremonial laws were abolished and the NEW way ushered in. His spirit (when I am with you no more, he will come, the Holy Spirit) when received by faith will keep the law PERFECTLY in and through us. It is no longer I which liveth but Christ which liveth in me. Go on unto perfection. This is his will, even your sanctification. The law is this, to love thy neighbor as thyself-love establishes the law..if I love someone, i won't steal from them, if I love God, I will keep his sabbath..etc..etc..Perfect love cast out ALL sin. The bible tells me so, no other. Praise God for his wonderful gift!!
Before the law, all the way back in the Garden. Adam had no need for the law because he eat from the tree of life. When he eat of the tree of knowledge he then saw his sin. His sin was disobediance to God. Man then lived by the law of nature.
The Jews were given the law of Moses, the law which showed the Jews of how to live. One question, are you a Jew? Do you live by all the Law or just the ten commandments?
When Christ died, when he hung on the tree, that tree repesanted the law. Paul did not do away with the law, Christ did. When you die to the law you now live by the Heavenly law.
Christ set us free from the bondage of sin. The only way a person new that they were in sin is by the law. One question, if not for the law then how would one know what sin was? To live by faith is to not live by the law. You take the laaw out of your mind and you will not judge others for you will not know what sin is, only faith.
The law reveals our needing help to keep it. Paul does not admonish the law at all. If not for a law, how would we know right from wrong? It is faith in Christ, belief that Christ's spirit in us cam indeed keep the law. This should be every believers goal. To keep the law perfectly. Not by works, no no, faith that Christ will empower us with his spirit to keep it. Every believer should loath their own sin and seek a way out of it, otherwise Christ's death on the cross was of no effect.
A powerful scripture which clearly states that our hope is not in the works that we do, but in our faith toward Jesus Christ. It also lets us know that Race and Gender an nonexistent in the body of Christ. Because we are spiritual beings residing in these physical bodies that will not inherit eternal life.
Hunh........... I guess Eph 2:8-9 must have been a type O then.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ones works are insufficient: Isaiah 64:6
But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as FILTHY RAGS; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Romans 3:10
As it is written, THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, no, not one:
Good works are a manifestation of a born again spirit to be sure. But they did not save anyone. That would mean that Christ's death alone on the cross was not sufficient.
2 Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are SUFFICIENT of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency [is] of God;
2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is SUFFICIENT for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Titus 3:7
That being JUSTIFIED by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
When verses in scripture seem to contradict each other you must do three things.
1. Find out what the rest of scripture tell us about the subject. *scripture interprets scripture*
2. Know the meaning in the original language as some does not translate well from its original. ( 1 John 3:6 and 3:9 are perfect examples) its says one born again is sinless; we know that not to be true it is impossible. A better translation would be to say; anyone born again will not continue in their sinful life style.)
3. Look at the historical context in which the subject was being written about.
Conclusion: Man has no part in his salvation, it is truly a gift to them that believe.
