Did Moses,David,Abraham Isaac and Jacob, all the apostles,Ruth, etc;work by faith in the Lord, for the Lord, and to the Lord? Did Paul work for the Lord to the end of his life?Faith without works is dead faith. Then; within "faith"he is able to do good works, show fruits of the Spirit. "Not of works lest any man shall boast is referring to works prior to salvation, trying to DO works to gain His grace.
Praise Our Lord and Savior when his word says in Ephesian 8 For by Grace you are saved through faith not of works its gift of God.it not of works should any one boast
Praise the Lord Jesus .yes when he call u .u will be going home and that could be Hell or Heaven it where we live to go while we on the earth if we live for Jesus Christ we will go to Heaven if we live for the flesh and sadan we go to Hell but remember no man can come to Jesus unless he draw them and he will draw them when he get ready know when we want him to .
Edna,Eph.2:8-10"Saved by grace through faith" a gift from God. But once the gift is given one must do His commandments, good works.James2:17"Even so faith if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." Please read the whole book of James. Dead faith will not get anyone into His Kingdom. Nothing negates the scripture in James.
Laws are great but they do not give us life. That's why my Lord Jesus came to fulfill the law and bring in Grace. No one can earn buy work his blood for our sins. their way to Heaven. Its Jesus death When he rose he give his life to abid in his children (call out one) because they open the door when he knock. Now life is assured because we have his spirit living in us. He lives as long so do we.
The 12 preached the gospel of the kingdom always to the Jew, Paul preached the gospel of Grace mainly the Gentile but Jew's welcome. Peter did go to the house of a gentile.

Spivey: Everything ends in death because that's what God has decided Heb 9:27 ...it's appointed unto man once to die.... And we cannot choose how long we should live b'cos life is not ours Life belongs to God He decides how long one should live. James 4:13-15 If you are a true child of God, the process of death: long sickness might be scary but not death itself. After all you are going home.
John the Baptist prepare the way for Jesus to the Jews for to repent and be baptize . The Jews were ready for a High Priest, King and Holy City. Now Apostle Paul was to prepare the way for Gentiles, Jews welcome. Paul was showing us, Jesus death and resurrection of the blood that washes all our sins. All we have to do is believe with faith plus nothing. The Bible is simply to understand .
Ray: In a War the enemy put on American uniforms they looked and sounded Genuine But pointed in the wrong direction, to a slaughter! In The Last Days False prophets will arise and deceive many, and almost Those who are Saved. They will look and sound Genuine. But point in the wrong direction. We who are Saved point to The Sacrificial Lamb on The Cross. The enemy will place a seed of doubt!
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Romans 5:19, we have death in the world because of Adam disobedience, but Jesus Christ will redeem us back from the curse. By the way, death is the devil Hebrew 2:14 and he will be last to be destroyed. We are in good hands with Jesus. Glory be to God almighty for our Salvation. .....
My friends, all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine , for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. Genesis through Malachi is for Jews, Romans through Philemon is for Gentiles and Jews can follow grace. Hebrew through Revelation is for the Jews again, but the Gentiles have to follow the Jews law to get saved. Very simple, no confusion. Now
Spivey, It is the whole counsel of God that sets us free. We must believe in all of God's word; Genesis through Revelation. Men's opinions don't matter, God knows the thoughts of men are futile. The word of God is all that matters. If we don't abide in His Word, we cannot enter His Kingdom.
Spivey; I think every honest and sensitive man can appreciate your anguish. It doesn't help to tell someone who is afraid, not to be afraid; unless you can show some understanding and answers to allay those fears. All the story is written in the Bible! Sin makes us Not Fit For The PRESENCE OF GOD! The Son of God Jesus Christ came in the flesh to give His life for our sins, and reconcile us to God.
Spivey: you can choose how long you will live and with a new body, no pain,no hunger, for eternity! Jesus will wash us from our sins in his own blood:Revelation1:5 when you fill a tug your heart and you know you need salvation just ask the Lord for forgiveness John 6:44/ you will be Baptized with The Holy Ghost and Fire: Matthew 3:11/ at the same time you will be made New! 2Corinthians 5:17 (Saved!)
Spivey, don't worry about death. Make sure you know the good news in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Make sure you believe with faith. Death is only a sting 1 Corinthians 15:55, the pain is fast, but the grace of God is power. Just keep reading Romans through Philemon and your eyes will be open. God bless you. ....
Ray:Apostles today are those who have been saved. We are The Light in a Dark World,The only Light. We are sent to preach The Gospel. Not sure what you mean by new, when there is no new gospel. Galatians 1:6-9. What do you mean by Paul is our Apostle today? You began with if you're looking for answers from man,let every man be a liar and let God be true
then you give instructions,What are you saying?
then why r we so scared to die, and why must all things end or in in death, why can't we chose how long we should live why why is all ways the question
O Holy Jesus, preserve us from being servants of man. For we were bought with a price, with your precious blood. We shall not be the servants of man but of God. We shall sanctify You, Holy Father in our hearts. You are our fear and You are our dread. Fear of man will prove to be a snare but he who trusts in the Lord is kept save. We shall have in mind the concerns of God and not merely human concerns.
2Corinthans chapter 5 v17 therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature old things are passed away behold all things are become new.v18 and all things are of God who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ. We become knew from the inside out as the Lord Jesus clean us up we lose the need to do the things we use to.thats the process we are new creature but Jesus gave us free will
To Robt. (B0b) on Matt. 28:19, Acts 2:38, etc. - I'm just curious - what scriptures do you use to back up your opinion? No judging here, just sincere curiosity.
To Bruce - May I ask you an 'honest' question - with no hidden agenda? I just take it from your comments and lack of mentioning it - that you don't believe speaking in tongues as the evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit is for these days? You have the right to your beliefs with no one 'commenting' on them. Jesus is our judge.

To Irene123 Matt. 28:19 - using the words of Jesus (thru Peter) of Acts2:38; Matt. 16:19. Irene did you know that none of these verses that you used were written for you to follow. Look at Acts 9:15, Romans 16:25-26, Romans 11:13, and Gal 1:8-9. After Acts 7 even the Jews could no longer claim them. Their exalted nation status was set aside until the tribulation.
Everett:V:18: then after three years I went up to Jerusalem----.Acts9:26 and when Paul was come to Jerusalem---. Yes, he did see the apostles three years later.
Definition of disciple; one who is taught or trained by another.
Definition of apostle; one who was sent forth by Christ himself, or in the case of Barnabas by theHoly Spirit (Acts: 13,2)
Paul did see the Apostles Acts 9:26-29
Anyone can commit unbelievable sins or sins so small they don't show up on our radar. We all have a dark evil heart. When we are cleansed by The Blood of The Lamb and The Spirit moves in, your heart is changed ! Like night and day, hot and cold ! A heavyweight you didn't know you had will be going! You will know! You will tell others, impossible not to! You are a new Creation! Next Morning WOW !
To Bruce - You've got me curious; at the end of many of your comments you say, "impossible not to know". How is it impossible not to know? And a week ago you said, "changed: 2 Cor. 5:17." what changed?
To Bruce - " ..... let's stick with the B-I-b-l-e ..... "; I like that; good advice. You were right; Paul never saw the 'Apostles', the scripture does say disciples. He did go to Arabia - Gal.1:7. Paul doesn't say why he went there, but one can surmise it was to be alone with the Lord for a time to get some things from God that he needed. cont.
To Bruce - You probably won't answer this, but - how were you baptized? Matt 28:19 ..... ? I was baptized by Matt. 28:19 - using the words of Jesus (thru Peter) of Acts2:38; Matt. 16:19.
Irene?:12:Neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Never saw the apostles, went to Arabia, then Damascus.V:17. ( Let's just stay in The B-I-B-L-E ) 2nd time) "Called" John6:44--, 1John 1:9--, "Will" be Baptized with the Holy Ghost and, Fire. "You will know"! 2Corinthians 5:17. Impossible not to know.
then you give instructions,What are you saying?
