Galatians 1:11-12 "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, (Peter nor any other Disciple taught the Gospel to Paul)but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." Jesus told Paul what to Preach to the Gentiles. On the other hand, Paul taught the Gospel which he preached to the Gentiles to the 12 Apostles, including Peter. Galatians 2:1-2 "Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. 2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain." And it was at least 14 years after the resurrection. THERE YOU HAVE THE SCRIPTURE, NOT MY WORD BUT GOD'S WORD.
So, taking a little more time and looking into Acts 9:26-27 and Galatians 1:17-18 it does seem to be the same experience. It just got a little confusing as it goes directly from Paul preaching first in Damascus and getting let down in a basket by the disciples to save him, not saying he went to Arabia or three years passing, then saying he came to Jerusalem in the next verse in Acts 9:25-27.
This does seem to be where he only saw Peter and James, only noted as apostles in Acts 9:27, as Barnabas took him to them. A little detail we don't get in Galatians.
This is getting interesting from what I'm finding in the Scriptures. As I agree Paul received the Gospel from the Lord in revelation. As the original disciples/apostles of the Lord were first hand witnesses and lived with the Lord.
So it seems, I believe this is mostly Peter in these verses, that the Gospel he preached was also for the remission, forgiveness, of sins and our salvation through Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:38
Acts 3:19
Acts 4:12
Acts 5:31
Acts 10:43-44
Maybe the point you are trying to make is that he(other apostles) did not exactly say it was that He "died" for our sins? As I can't really be sure of that as the early preaching in Acts, that I posted, was only of Peter. There also being ten other original apostles preaching around. It could be though.
This is interesting what I came across. In Acts 9:26-27. As this seems to be not long after Paul's conversion. After his first preaching of the Lord in Damascus. Being saved by other disciples of the Lord ending up in Jerusalem. Then in verse 27 Barnabus took him to the other apostles. As I can't be positive but I don't think Peter was there at this time as a couple verses later it states he was in other places.
This does not seem to be the same trip to Jerusalem as Paul spake of in Galatians 1:18. As in Galatians 1:19 he states "of the other apostles I saw none". Interesting how in Galatians 1:17 stated that he didn't go to Jerusalem after he was saved or converted. Lots of stuff going on.
Just to expand on the year "around 55 AD" when Paul writing the epistle to Corinth. Also you stating that the time between the Death of Jesus and His appearing to Paul on the road to Damascus being 8-9 years or 36-37 AD. I have never heard of that number. So you have learned the death of Jesus to be around 25-26 AD? I have learned that the Lord appeared to Paul sometime around 2-3 years after His death.
As also hearing lectures from Dr Gary Habermas who expands on this timeline. Which agree with several other sites of the chronological studies of that time. As I'll just leave a simple timeline and some verses of "around" times. As no one knows the exact year of the death of Jesus Christ I will be using the year 30 AD as most like to use.
30 AD Death of Jesus Christ.
32-33 AD The Lord appeared to Paul on the road to Damascus Acts 9:1-20.
35-36 AD After three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter Galatians 1:18.
49-50 AD Then 14 years after I went up again to Jerusalem Galatians 2:1.
50-51 AD Paul arrives at Corinth
51-52 AD Paul was in Corinth 1.5 years and brought before Gallieo Acts 18:11-12.
54-55 AD Paul is in Ephesus, staying there 2-3 years, which is where some believe he wrote the epistle to Corinth.
As there was a first letter, or "previous letter", written to Corinth, from Paul, which is no longer extant. Paul noting he wrote them and epistle previously in ( 1 Corinthians 5:9.
With all of these dates I'm sure they can be moved around a little as all being "about". Things we know of are the reign of Gallio to be of 51-52 AD. Which has been inscribed in stone.
Skip also did quote ( 1 Corinthians 11:23. Stating that Paul did "receive of the Lord that which I also delivered unto you". Which I'm sure Skip knows. In Galatians 1:13 the word "see" is the Greek word G2477. Meaning "to find out, learn by inquiry" or "to gain knowledge of by visiting".
Just to give some friendly information. God Bless.
Skip Vought, You said this: Paul, writing the the church at Corinth in about 55, records how he had DELIVERED to them what he had RECEIVED: received many years earlier when he had visited Peter and James in Jerusalem some 3 years after his Damascus Road conversion.
Paul disagrees with you, Read this: Galatians 1:11-12 "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." Jesus gave Paul the exact word of the Gospel that he preached to the Gentiles.
The amount of time between the death of Jesus, and His subsequent appearance to Paul would be 8 or 9 years around 36 or 37A.D.). so Paul would have been in his early 30's when Jesus appeared to him, and he became a Christian.
Galatians 1:18-19 "Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. 19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother." Galatians 2:1-2 "Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. 2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain." So, 8 years plus 3 years plus 14 years, would be 25 year after the resurrection of Jesus that Paul had the big Bible conference in Jerusalem with all the Apostles when he told the other Apostles of the Gospel that he was preaching to the Gentiles. The 12 Apostles had been preaching a different Gospel for 25 years. They never preached "how that Christ died for sins" Not once. Although the Gospel that the 12 Apostles preached to the Jews are found in about a half-a-dozen scriptures, they are basically all the same. John's Gospel is perhaps the clearest and best one. John 20:31 "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son
Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles by God's choice. The Lord Jesus declared that He had a specific mission for Paul: "This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel" ( Acts 9:15). Paul had been set apart from birth and called by God's grace so that he might "preach [Christ] among the Gentiles" ( Galatians 1:15-16).
Are you a Gentile? Then you need to go to the Apostle Paul to find out how to be saved, what we cal "born again".
This passage of scripture is 1st Corinthians 15:1-4, but verse three and four, is the Gospel, the good news that Christ took our place so that we might have live everlasting.
Jesus commanded his 12 Disciples NOT to go to the Gentiles, in Matthew 10 1-7, and then about eighteen years later, he sent Paul to the Gentiles, WHY? Because he had a different Gospel for the Gentiles, "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. John 20:31. That Gospel is for the Jews. And Paul's Gospel is for the Gentiles. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" You can plainly see they are different. Peter, nor any of the 12 apostles preach that "Jesus died for our sins" as Paul did. Check out these two scriptures John 20:31, and 1st Corinthians 15:3,4.
You seem to believe in your own doctrine in that only those who can speak in tongues have received the Holy Ghost. I am sorry to tell you this but you are wrong. Others have posted much Scripture on this that you seem to want to ignore. Nit picking verses like Mark 16 and thinking Jude 1:20 is the same as speaking in tongues. Seeming to have more zeal for different tongues than the teachings of Christ and the Word of God in the Holy Scriptures. God knows when we pray to Him no matter what, of the thousands, of languages it is in. God reads hearts not just an angelic tongue.
. 2 Corinthians 10:7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.
Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
God Bless those who have the gift of speaking in unknown tongues. Like I stated before I see no use for this gift and am not interested in asking for it. My Father and Lord Jesus Christ know when I am speaking/praying to them.
We're introduced to Paul (then known as Saul) from Acts 7:58 onwards. Saul, by his own claim, was a Jew & a Pharisee (a religious leader, studied in Jewish Law), from the tribe of Benjamin ( Philippians 3:5,6). He also hailed from Tarsus, Celicia in Asia Minor (now Turkey). If you're keen to see the city & you have a map of Turkey, Tarsus is located between the cities of Mersin & Adana on the South coast.
Then from Acts chapter 9, you can read of Saul's mighty encounter with the risen Jesus Christ & from that event, Saul believed on Jesus, was baptized & later he was also referred to as Paul ( Acts 13:9). We generally hear the name Paul being used from hereon.
Paul wasn't one of the 12 disciples who walked with Jesus. However, since Paul had seen the Lord, received teaching from him (from Heaven while in the deserts of Arabia: Galatians 1:17), & called by Jesus to be His apostle ( Romans 1:1), the other apostles after some initial hesitance acceptance him. And of course, we know that God used Paul mightily to preach to both the Jews & the Gentiles of His saving Grace (his mission however was primarily to the Gentiles). Paul went on several missionary journeys & established several Churches, even in his own country. How very sad though, that Turkey now has Islam as its predominant religion, when at the time of Paul, he would have "turned the world upside down" with the power of the Gospel even in his home country.
So, if you read the Book of Acts, especially from chapter 7 onwards, you'll learn more of what I've shared here. And then his letters to the Churches are filled with wisdom, that which he learned from Jesus to teach Christians on how to live the Christian life victoriously.
Paul was called by God from his mother's womb ( Galatians 1:15), but Paul was apprehended by God for God's exclusive service on the road to Damascus. From that moment onwards, Paul was aware that his life was not his own; he'd been bought with a price, the precious BLOOD of the Lamb.
We die to self and it is He that works through us by faith, we do not preach our words but the Lords, we can not change it , and why would we want to when it's all truth
As long as we seek the praise of men, we can not live exclusively for Christ. Christ gets all the glory because he is the one who accomplished our salvation. Do not conform to the world but be transformed and live for and through Christ.
After this many of his disciples TURNED BACK and no longer walked with him
(Jesus).

The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and not for any private interpretation ( 2 Peter 1:20). If it records in Rev. 12:9 that this whole world has been deceived, it did not speak of a particular country, group of people, person or religion, it meant the whole world.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God ( James 4:4).
The believers are not of this world. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith ( 1 John 5:4).

The believers and followers of the true Christ do not involve themselves in the affairs of this world.
God cannot be received by this present world and so-called world evangelization (global unity) is a deception at the highest level and the workings of the spirit of this world ( John 1:5,10; 8:23; 14:17,22; 15:19,20; 17:9,14,16,25; 18:36; Rom. 8:7; 1Cor. 1:20; 2:4-8, 12-14; 1 Thess. 3:3; 2 Tim. 3:12; James 4:4; 1 John 2:15; 3:1; 5:4,19; 2 John 7).
It should be noted that in over 36 years of service we have never collected/received, solicited or requested donations. The gift of 'Life' was freely given and freely do we give to all those that believe ( 2 Kings 5:16; Matthew 6:26; 10:8).

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. "The doctrine of Jesus Christ is the word of the heavenly Father. The doctrine of the Son and the testimony of the Holy Spirit is above (excels) all the teachings of the prophets, and it contains all that is necessary and conducive to salvation.
Nor can the will of the heavenly Father be found anywhere so clearly as in the words of Jesus Christ, by whom he has in these last days spoken, made known his will, and fully expressed it; hence all that is contrary, or not conformable, to the words of Christ, is not God's word or will; for "no other foundation can be laid, than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ"

The believers and followers of the true Christ do not involve themselves in the affairs of this world.
In their Doctrines and Covenants of the Mormon faith they teach that Jesus is the brother of Satan.
Do you understand that means your savior is the brother of Satan.
The Bible teaches Jesus created all things, including Satan in
John 1:3 All things were made by (Jesus) him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Mormonism is a denial of the King James Bible since Jesus said:
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is FINISHED finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Mormonism is another testament, another gospel so basically this means it was not finished as the work of Christ.
Galatians 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Ask yourself if this means Mormonism is cursed?
Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel (MORONi) from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Do you really want to trust an angel named MORONi
Do we really believe that Christianity was lost till Joseph Smith found some golden plates that no one knows where they are and an angel named MORONi visited him?
Are you prepared to tell Jesus your savior that he is the brother of Satan?
That is what Mormonism teaches. That the King James is full of errors and that they have another gospel.
Please consider this carefully.
Funny how the archaeologists of the USA can not find any traces of the Nephites or Lamenites civilizations Smith wrote about.
Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
The book of Mormon is not from God. It comes from a fallen angel. So you should stop follow Mormonism. Bible is enough.
Jesus christ always remind us the existence of Hell. But the book of Mormon says there is no Hell. And they also equal themselves with God which is unbiblical. Once upon a day Satan wants to equal himself with God and want to sit above his thron. It is the reason he fall from heaven.
Revelation 22:18
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Whether they are spoken of separately or combined, the "Jews" ( 2 Kings 16:6), the "Gentiles" ( Genesis 10:5), and the "church of God" ( 1 Corinthians 1:2) make up the three-fold subject matter of the word of God. Every part of the Bible is, in general, written concerning one of these three classes or divisions of persons. Therefore, what is written needs to be appropriately interpreted and applied to the class or division of people to which it was written for!
The misappropriation of these three classes of people; "Jews," "Gentiles," and the "church" of God, into Scripture where they do not belong is one of the foremost reasons why the word of God is misunderstood, look at Galatians 1:13, Ephesians 1:22, 5:23, Philippians 3:6, Colossians 1:24.
From a Greek word signifying (1) a choice, (2) the opinion" "chosen, and (3) the sect holding the opinion. In the Acts of the" "Apostles (5:17; 15:5; 24:5, 14; 26:5) it denotes a sect, without" "reference to its character. Elsewhere, however, in the New" Testament it has a different meaning attached to it. Paul ranks heresies with crimes and seditions ( Gal. 5:20). This word also denotes divisions or schisms in the church ( 1 Cor. 11:19). In " Titus 3:10 a "heretical person" is one who follows his own" "self-willed "questions," and who is to be avoided. Heresies thus" came to signify self-chosen doctrines not emanating from God ( 2 Pet. 2:1).
Improper understanding of heresy will condemn you to hell.
Heresy is not the same as Error. It is a Choice to abandon widely accepted teaching on an essential doctrine (such as the Trinity of God) and embrace one's view (yours being that the Holy Spirit is FEMALE / the Mother of the Godhead.
Heresy is to preach ANOTHER gospel, as Paul stated in Galatians 1:9.
You are deceived most likely by some militant female teaching or cult of them.
If you google CULTS, even google knows it probably involves religion. I speak for myself: you don't need to come here seeking converts. Twitter is available for heretics. I'm sure there are Facebook groups that are heretic.
I hope you rethink what's best for you? The Antichrist will make you offer up your hand or your forehead for the MARK of the BEAST. Then you will be forced to bow your knee to WORSHIP him as GOD. You won't have choices anymore! If you take that Mark, you will still go to hell. If you kill yourself, you'll go to hell.
The only option that offers Life Eternally, is renouncing heretical beliefs and receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
For informative: APOSTASY is leaving and renouncing religion; renouncing Jesus as Savior.
If I can jump in and maybe shed some light on this. In Galatians 1:12, Paul says:
"I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ."
When John wrote the Revelation, He received it from Christ Himself. But if there is a question as to whether Paul met the qualifications to be an Apostle proper, we are told Paul went to Jerusalem, met with the Apostles and they, themselves, approved him as an Apostle to the Gentiles. Peter also refers to what Paul writes as "Scripture" 2 Peter 3:16.
Acts 9:5-7, "Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied. "Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do." The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone."
This event is also recounted in Acts 22. So what are we to believe? Did Paul see Jesus? Well, He says he did. Others can attest to the fact that what Paul said on the Road to Damascus was True. Ananias was also a witness. And the Apostles confirmed it and appointed him Apostle to the Gentiles, as Christ told him. Furthermore, Pauls life, work, letters, sacrifice all testify to the fact that he did see Jesus and was taught by Him. In fact, the Bible says he was "told" by God and Jesus what to say.
If we doubt everything the Bible says, we have nowhere to go. If we doubt what Paul said, we have to doubt the entire New Testament.
Paul is not an apostle of Jesus, he doesn't even saw Jesus face to face, drink or ate with him...But he is a murderer since the beginning....The only way that linked him to Jesus was his alleged vision which also a big fabrication because of the inconsistency of his statement....Pls. read Acts 9:19-29, 26 :19-21 and Galatians 1:15-23 and see the inconsistency of his statement
You've gone to far about my arguments, I've only qouting John 16:10 because Jesus said you can't see him no more but Paul suddenly saw him in his alleged vision on his way to Damascus....Now, in Acts 9:19-29 according to Paul he had preached at Damascus in the name of Jesus and he was with them (disciples) coming in and out at Jerusalem and continued in Acts 29:19-21 that he had shewed unto them of Damascus and at Jerusalem and throughout all the coast of Judea and to the Gentiles......and then contradicted by him in Galatians 1:15-23 it says " But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother...Can you see the lies of Paul now?...
Jesse, a little while is his 2nd coming and it doesn't mean it only limited to Paul's vision.....If Jesus has something to say then why he didn't tell his disciples before his ascension?....Despite the fact that Paul's letter is the majority of the New Testament
And here's another proof of fabrication about his alleged vision, in Acts 9:19-29Acts 26-19-21 contradicted by Galatians 1:15-23 is quite obvious of contradiction, can you see the fabrications now?...
Paul an apostle (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
See ACTS chapter 9
After Paul hit the ground; he said, Who art thou, LORD?
The men traveling with Paul, heard an audible voice, but saw no man.
Saul stands up, but now he is blind. He is blind 3 days and does not eat or drink.
Keep reading; by verse 20 Paul is preaching Christ in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.
By verse 23, the Jews are plotting to kill Saul.
We need the full account of Bible events without JUDGING them. Read the full account first; even the whole chapter.
Paul was struck blind but he and some other guys ALL HEARD with their ears, the VOICE of the risen Christ. Paul was a chosen vessel. Verse 15-16 (written in the red ink)
"Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)"
Jesus is not a man he is the Lord God.
God Bless.
God Bless.
I wish you well on your journey. God Bless.
After this many of his disciples TURNED BACK and no longer walked with him
(Jesus).
HEBREWS 10
How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?
Hosea 14:4
I will heal their apostasy; I will love them freely, for my anger has turned from them.
Revelation 3:16
So, because you are lukewarm, and NEITHER hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
2 Timothy 2:18
Who have SWERVED from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already happened. They are upsetting the faith of some.
Book of Jude 1:
For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Matthew 10:33
But whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.
Hebrews 9:28
So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, NOT TO DEAL WITH SIN, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
2 Thessalonians 2:3
Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction
Hebrews 3:12
Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.
Galatians 1:8-9
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I SAY AGAIN, If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you (first) received, let him be accursed.

The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and the scriptural references we use serve as confirmation that it is not us that speak, but the Spirit of our Father that speaketh in us ( 2 Samuel 23:2; Matthew 10:20; Acts 4:8; 6:10).

Avoid such people.

And here's another proof of fabrication about his alleged vision, in Acts 9:19-29 Acts 26-19-21 contradicted by Galatians 1:15-23 is quite obvious of contradiction, can you see the fabrications now?...
Paul an apostle (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
