Larry Jacobs Gen. 3 There are those that believe that Eve had sex with the serpent, that's not possible because of physical law spirit cannot have sex with five senses flesh. That being said cain committed the first murder the shedding of innocent blood, then look at the punishment Gen. 3:11-16 cain became cursed from the earth and when you tillest the ground it will not yield its strength, he became a vagabond or wanderer no place to hide. Just as we are born again of Gods seed holy spirit, cain was the first man spiritually born of seed of the serpent spiritually totally corrupt. In the bible they are known as men of belial, the word belial means worthless reckless lawless wicked men, men of the earth and many other names, In the gospel of John 8:44 Jesus Christ went up against these men verse 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot here my word. Next verse Ye are of your father the devil and the lust of your father ye will do, it is not flesh and blood it is spiritual which is why they will die in there sin it is seed. Remember Ephesians 6:12 this is a spiritual battle not senses. I've met Christians that got born again who were satan worshppers but that doesn't mean they were born of the devil.

Yes, put on the WHOLE armour ( Ephesians 6:11-17), and Also:

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known The Mystery of the Gospel,For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. ( Ephesians 6:18-20). Amen?

What Mystery? Is it not This?:

Now to Him that is of power To Stablish you According To my Gospel, and the preaching of JESUS CHRIST, According to The Revelation Of The Mystery, which was kept secret since the world began( Romans 16:25)

    Which Gospel?:

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the LORD JESUS, to testify The GOSPEL Of The GRACE of God.( Acts 20:24)

Is THIS not part of the WHOLE armour, "And your feet shod with the preparation of the GOSPEL OF PEACE" ( Ephesians 6:15)?

This MYSTERY And GOSPEL Of GRACE/PEACE, to Paul, found in Romans Through Philemon, and Directly to us, The Body of CHRIST, is {to Avoid Confusion} to be:

Rightly Divided ( 2 Timothy 2:15) From "Things That DIFFER!":

Prophecy And Law, gospel of the kingdom, to the Twelve And ISRAEL!

Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, and Edified!!

    Hi.

    Part 1 of 2.

For our friends during their recovery we didn't depend on our own ability. We humbled ourselves and prayed and asked for prayer. We didn't demand anything or perform anything. WE PRAYED.

Now concerning Satan, There's several scripture that I keep in Mind.

    Here's just a few.

1 John 4:4. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU, THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD.

James 4:6-7. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. RESIST THE DEVIL, and he will flee from you.

    And

    Romans 8:28-39.

    Ephesians 6:11-18.

I don't quarrel with Satan if I do I relieved myself of my Armor.

I don't mimic what Jesus did When he said

Matthew 4:10. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Jude 1:8-10. Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Jude 1:16-20. These are murmurers, complainers, WALKING AFTER THEIR OWN lusts; AND THEIR MOUTH SPEAKETH GREAT SWELLING WORDS, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

    But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

THESE BE THEY WHO SEPARATE THEMSELVES, SENSUAL, having not the Spirit.

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Nice sharing bro Another point I would like to share is that he was incarcerated so much that people started to get tricked into not believing what he taught anymore. Others were telling them that if Gods working in Him why is He always getting in trouble, they were looking at it buy the senses not spiritually Ephesians 6:12. He preached to all asia minor in acts and by 2 Timothy 1:15 He writes almost everyone turned from Him. That's an unbelievable verse when you think about it. With all the signs miracles he did by Gods power and they witnessed it they were still tricked out of the truth.

  • S Spencer Persecution from within to hinder the gospel - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Hi brother Jesse.

    Part 1.

If you don't mind I would like to add to the timely comment you posted.

"So the Lord says I myself am Jesus whom you yourself are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the prods, and He's telling him that's what it's like to get stung by a bee, every time you come across a Christian, and that sting just irritates you, and you just want to "rub them out." It brings things into perspective when we are the ones being persecuted, but Jesus says it is Him they are persecuting. Why? Because they are not attacking us, they are attacking Christ who is in us!"

When Saul was accused by Jesus of persecuting Him, I think we need to be certain we are not doing the same and/or get drawn in to this organized scheme of Satan.

Ephesians 6:11-12. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the "wiles of the devil."

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

    Here is my point.

What was Saul on his way to do while he was on his way to Damascus? He was going to stop the spread of the Gospel!!

A message that is the accomplished by the cornerstone of our faith. ( Jesus Christ.). A truth important to be ministered Paul and all the Apostles died getting it out.

    1 Corinthians 15:1-2. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

NOW THIS PERSECUTION IS FROM WITHIN THEW CHURCH! We argue about viewpoints in eschatology, ect.. And the message where in we stand has ceased! "Wiles of the devil." Notice the strife here lately? This persecution and scheme is global! Notice the attacks is not on you, its on your beliefs. Its on truth, Its on the Lord.

    Part 2 They're Manifested.

    God bless.

    Good Evening

I wanted to share my testimoy so that it may bring hope to someone.

I went through a period of rejection and isolation at times it seemed as if a dark cloud was over me.

I lost most of my friends and references and everyone was seperating from me and I did not understand why.

I was lied on and I did not understand why, then I began to understand that Jesus went through some of the same things.

I have been in several abusive relationships and I have even been raped but GOD has kept me through it all.

I am understanding more than ever Ephesians 6:12 and though sometimes I may get weary Jesus will never leave or forsake me.

    Amen Lauren.

There's a lesson to us all,

The Power and virtue is in Christ distributed by the Spirit.

We can't manifest it with our intellect or delivering anything what we " Think" is powerful by our delivery or shout something into motion whether it's bringing someone to Christ or running off demons, we're in the flesh when we think more of ourselves than what we ought.

The only weapon we have is a sword

Ephesians 6:17. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

And we use that sword to point to Christ and the cross in the manner Paul did with the Corinthians!

John 12:32. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

    " There's our strength."

1 Corinthians 2:4. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, BUT IN DEMONSTRATION OF THE SPIRIT AND OF POWER!:

Here's another point to take notice in these verses. We know wisdom is made over unto us by way of the cross.

And we know our redemption is by way of the cross.

But we sometimes forget that our

" Imputed Righteousness " and sanctification is by way of the cross.

1 Corinthians 1:30. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, WHO OF GOD IS MADE UNTO US wisdom, and RIGHTEOUSNESS, and SANCTIFICATION, and redemption:

1 Corinthians 1:31. That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

    God bless.
  • Put on Christ even though we may not want to - In Reply on 1 John 4 - 3 years ago
I had problems like that when I was younger. Now I'm a bit more wiser. Evangelizing complete strangers works that out of you. Because you see with Jesus's eyes and heart.

We are to be the Body of Christ when we are confronted with those feelings. The heart of the Lord is Mercy.

Usually, it is Who is inside of you, that is being repelled by What is in them. It will help if you google: The Armor of God, Teaching. Do not read Wikipedia posts as they are google teachings.

Ephesians 6: If a person, Christian or Unbeliever, has an invisible evil spirit at work, in the vicinity; trying its best to bring enmity into the situation:

That is your enemy. It's invisible but you can see, feel and experience the FRUIT that spirit is revealing it's presence. It may be trying to shoo you away from telling that person anything about Jesus.

You need to put each piece of your Armor on and know what each piece does. Read in the Gospels, what Jesus said and how he responded to spiritual confrontations.

Sometimes it really helps if we make an appointment to run by the Church at lunch and have a prayer with Pastors wife. It's private and confidential. I know she and Pastor will pray for me later. It's cool.

We're all called to be likable; not necessarily 'like' everyone we meet.

The Holy Spirit opened up JOB 1, to me concerning satan and his bad angels. He accuses us right and left. The sneak around observing what we do, what we say under our breath about bad drivers and grumpy people. Satan saw that Job was afraid his kids were not worshiping God right so Job did it for them. Satan sees our fears, our actions, mean mumbling, our wealth and luxury's we like; knows all our friends with "loose mouth", not comforting, speech. Satan destroyed everything Job had, and left Job sitting in the dirt.

It's best to be silent and trust God even more than we do now. I think you have this under control, you just don't like it. No one does.

Dear Lex. You've shared a couple of things that are very concerning. You wrote that you were, "not faithful when trying to research and prove to yourself that Christianity is true." Though not knowing what was going through your heart & mind, I believe that if a person is a Christian, he has already confirmed in his heart of the reality of his sinfulness, his need of a Saviour, of Christ's full & complete Work on the Cross for him, & that by accepting & believing that Truth in repentance, he has not only proven the reality of Jesus, but also of the inward change in him.

Christians can have all types of intrusions into their lives as Satan creates fears, doubts, temptations to sin, etc. All these things God forgives on the basis of His Son's death as we come in repentance for our folly & sin. But you have stated that you might not be fully convinced that "Christianity is true". So, I would ask you, with great care: 'have you truly repented of your sins, been born again & have God's Spirit in you?' And secondly, 'if you have come the Way of the Cross, then what is troubling you about your faith or God's Word?'

Before you can even concern yourself with Hebrews 6:4-6 (which was a specific warning to those who were wanting to revert back into Judaism) & about apostatizing, I feel you need to attend to the other matter to find out why you are having doubts about 'your faith' & to prove the truth of 'Christianity'. However, if you truly believe you're saved, then it could be that you're not spending much time in God's Word, in prayer & receiving wholesome teaching in a Fellowship. Maybe, you need to ask questions (even here on this Site), seeking answers that will clear up your doubts & fears. And remember, when God's Word assures us or gives us an answer, we can fully trust it & use it against any doubts or fears we may have. Every Christian must daily put on God's Armour in readiness ( Ephesians 6:10-18). May the Lord lead you especially in your matters of concern.

    Hi Yohan.

If we have any strength at all it's by He that's in us.

1 John 4:4. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

We're told to submit ourselves to God and do something our flesh don't want to do! "RESIST THE DEVIL "

James 4:7. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We have 3 enemies, Our flesh, the world, and Satan,

Satan disguise as an Angel of light wouldn't have no trouble with us if we're not barring Gods armour.

Ephesians 6:10-13. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

We hear people in prayer trying to bind Satan,

If we could bind him we would be proud and loose him again!!

Look what Jude say about them.

Jude 1:19-20. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

During the Millennium the devil will be chained a 1000 years, when the devil is loosed man will rebel again in this perfect economy!!

    And again.

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

    2 Timothy 2:4.

You can't "reason" a person to a changed heart.

So don't be like Jonah. Go out preach Christ.

The Holyspirit spirit have to convict a man,

Be the instrument by which the message is relayed.

The World is at odds with itself.

we don't join there battle. "Man against Man"

Our fight is what's behind them.

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I Preach the cross to Democrats and Republicans alike. I pray for them and hope they receive Christ.

The Nation of Islam don't believe in abortion, Same sex Marriage, Homosexuality ect..

and neither do other Muslims. Are they saved? NO!

Jews follow after the Law. Are they saved by the Law? No!!

Can a person be saved by agreeing with you and I from a moral perspective and not receive Christ be saved? NO!

John 4:21-23. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

There's not a place or day we do this.

Colossians 2:16-17 (KJV) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

The sabbaths was given to Israel.

    Jesus gave us rest!

    We rest in him.

Ms Doe , the commandment to honour our parents was given to the children of Israel and i believe it assumes that the parents are God fearing and bringing up their children in the fear and love of the Lord ,my parents were violent mentally ill alcoholic atheists ! As far as im concerned God and Jesus are my Father and Mother and i belong to them ,my dad is dead now but my mum still lives and is horrible to me on a regular basis ,she seems to enjoy it so i let her have her fun and just ignore her , she has helped me in so many ways by teaching me patience and calmness and how to ignore unpleasant people and not let them upset me even slightly , Mark ch 3 verse 31-35 , Matthew ch10 verse 34-37 , Luke ch9 verse 59-62 , i thank God for my parents ,they taught me many valuable lessons ,i was aware from a very young age that people are capable of great cruelty for no reason other than they enjoy being cruel and i learnt how to spot these kinds of people quickly and avoid them , i hope you can learn from your parents without allowing them to distress you too much ,its not easy but if you lean on God and Jesus and recognise them as your family who you can trust with all your heart you will be on the right path ,lean on God ,He is your Heavenly Father ,He feeds you clothes you keeps you safe and sane and cheerfull ,may He always do so and may He draw you closer and closer to Him every day ,tell Him how you honestly feel ,He understands your pain and sadness ,He is the very Best Father any one could have ,surrender your heart to Him ,He will keep it safe i promise .

    Hi Michael,

I agree with you on not having to keep the "7th day Sabbath". Another verse I came across tonight to back that is Galatians 4:9-11. I don't know if I understand correctly your statement of "we are commanded the opposite". As I stated, my feeling, that to follow Christ is to be Holy as He is Holy as in 1 Peter 1:14-17, Hebrews 12:14. To strive to keep every day Holy retaining the Lord in us. That following love from a pure heart is what makes God our Father and Christ happy 1 Peter 1:22-23.

To the Ten Commandments. Like I stated I believe they are good and are throughout the NT, as to follow them, though all spread out. Here is one actually discerning it as a commandment of the OT Ephesians 6:1-2. Here are the rest in different places. Romans 1:28-32, Galatians 5:19-21, 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Colossians 3:1-10. As you are able to go through all those epistles of the NT and see it notes the same things the Ten Commandments tells to us to stay away from. Even more as some are in the Mitzvot laws. As stated there are a lot that are void though just letting the Spirit guide you, you can see the ones that are moral and righteous.

Love from a pure heart is above all and shall never fail Colossians 3:12-17. Walking in the Spirit producing good fruit for the Lord. To keep us from the temptations and lusts of the flesh which leads to sin. Which no one is perfect and may slip and fall. To be vigilant and confess our sins in prayer they shall be forgiven. Though we are to strive to stay away(repent) from sin in our walk with the Lord to be Holy in this temple He has Blessed us with.

Just to make clear if anyone may perceive I'm stating that "good works" is what saves us. That is not true and not what I'm stating. Though we are called by God through Christ to good works Ephesians 2:10. Showing our faith and newness of life in the Lord. All glory to our Father and Jesus Christ. Amen.

    God Bless you Michael.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your comments!

God tell us not to be conform to the ways of the carnal world!

Just because the people in the world speak a certain way doesn't, make it right!

"Therefore come out from their midst and be separate, says the Lord, and touch nothing unclean, and I will receive you." 2 Corinthians 6:17

    Romans 13:8

You give more glory to The Lord, Jesus Christ, when you greet people with "LoveO". God Is LOVE.

Faith worketh by Love." Galatians 5:6

The powerful armor God works by Love. Love never fails!

    Ephesians 6:11-17

    11. "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes."

    12. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

    13. "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."

    "

    14. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place"

    15. "And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of Peace."

    16. "In addition to all this, take up the Shield of Faith, with this you are able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."

    17. "Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is The Word of God.

    Hi James,

As I can't tell exactly your detail of "stand up for the Lord". Of coarse we are to keep our faith and hope till the end and never deny our Lord as in 1 Peter 3:15-17.

The state of this world is much worse than many can plainly see. The things done behind the scenes are far worse than many people would believe. The deception going on in this world is huge.

If you are implying maybe it's time to stand up and take our world back by force? I believe we are past that and that is what the "powers" of this world want. As their plans of "divide and conquer" are again deeper than any really know.

I myself have come to peace with what is going on in this world. The only thing that matters, to me anymore, is being with the Lord Jesus Christ and our Father. Even though the earth, and the things in it, are so beautiful it is all vanity. We are all going to perish, our physical bodies, one day and to me that is my destiny and what I wait on daily. To be with the Lord where He is. Not in this world full of evil that is deeper than many know.

I believe staying peaceful no matter what happens is a way of showing the Spirit of Christ in you. Did Jesus Christ or any of His Apostles fight when they were arrested, persecuted, then put to death? As I'm sure you know, no. They stayed innocent and when put to trial just let the Holy Spirit flow in them when asked questions. As Christ probably was the most quiet in His persecutions. 1 Peter 2:21-23.

So as I just felt to write you this reply to show that violence is never the way and nothing good ever comes from it. It is better to stay innocent than to get involved with fighting. Of coarse this does not mean "don't speak the truth" or keep quiet when you see something wrong. Just don't let anger get you riled up too much. God knows everything that is going on. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.

My reply to you is from the heart. Keep the full armor of God, Ephesians 6:11-17.

God Bless you in these tough times James.

    Customizer 2021,

Verse 8 says be sober, be vigilant. It means to be sober-minded. Vigilant means be on guard. It's the same thing Jesus said to the disciples in Matthew 26:41 when He said can't you wait and watch with me? They kept falling asleep. Be sober thinking, be alert, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks around seeking whom he may devour:

That's to Christians. The Jews would know that the term lion represented the enemy. Seven times in the Psalms David used the word lion as an example of his enemies. In Ezekiel 22:25, Ezekiel used the lion to describe the false prophets.

So Satan takes on this ravaging lion that's going around seeking whom he may devour. This is where the attention of the mind comes in. He roams around and scouts. Job Chapters 1 and 2 tell us that Satan scouts God's people. The fact that he's roaming around is continuous.

Every day, we're being scouted as to what it is that Satan can use to occupy the attention of our minds. He can't take our salvation away from us, but basically, his attitude is "Oh, the Lord saves you and now He wants to renew your mind? Well, I'll just keep you busy!"

So he occupies the attention of our mind. We're too busy, too tired, and we got too much going on. When he devours, he devours mentally, not spiritually. He cannot devour me spiritually but he wants to occupy the attention of my mind.

James says to resist. In James 4:7, he says to resist the devil, and he will flee from you. We don't have to fight him. He's already been defeated.

In Ephesians 6:11, Paul says put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Stand against is the word resist. He's to be resisted.

Verse 9: Whom resist stedfast, or solid in the faith, doing this, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished, or fulfilled in your brethren that are in the world. Every single brother and sister in Christ around the world is suffering or going through the same thing!

Ephesians 6:10-18.

    Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

    And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

    Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Hello and good afternoon! The LORD is your employer. Do all things as unto the LORD and not for man. Colossians 3:23. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12. Continue to pray for yourself before you walk into your work place. Put on the whole armor of GOD. Ephesians 6:11. Proclaim that no weapon formed against you will prosper. Isaiah 54:17. Ask the LORD to have mercy on you and to move you to another place quickly and in the meantime give you patience and endurance. I know how terrible it is to have a job where the environment is awful but the LORD is with you. Don't let your enemy steal your joy. Continue to praise the LORD for this job and thank HIM for the job HE will give you next. Psalm 34. Be encouraged! I will be praying for you!

I love this chapter but learned something this morning through the Spirit. Would love to share it. In verse 14:This was a belt worn by Roman soldier made of metal and thick heavy leather and was the carrying place for his sword. What drew my attention was the word "sword". He has a special place for (his) sword. This was so he could be ready for action at any given moment. We should have that same readiness. Now remove the letter "s" and you have "word" we have a special place for our "s" word. That place is called our heart and we must keep it there.
