Dear "Sonia", In peace, I believe you are a believer and you need to take up the sword (God's Holy Word) every day to expose the devil's evil deeds.

Since we are living in the last days, the days are also evil. 2 Peter 3:3

Be faithful to Jesus Christ, He will deliver you.

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

    14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

    15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

    18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Stay blessed and remember Jesus Is The King of all Kings! Love u in Christ.

Dear beloved "Marie Fair", there are no Angels coming from heaven to lead any of us into the jungle or the forest or to the mountains. This is nonsense. Do not follow them dear ones, but stop by here on the web. As long as we have the opportunity without and put our names on any contract. And learn the Word of God every day, fill yourself with Him who can fill everything in everyone. Ephesians 1:23

But the people of the righteous God in Jesus name will join in the fight against the evil one and his evil spirit army. In a way, we are already in it when we pray and do His will. Ephesians 6:13-18

    Hey Love of Jesus

Satan is a created being, what does he look like? Isaiah 14:12-15 morning star, translated Lucifer, the morning star/day star is the planet, Venus, it is brightest just before sunrise, 2 Corinthians 11:14 an angel of light, 1 Peter 5:8 a roaring lion, Revelation 12:3 great red dragon seven heads ten horns and seven crowns. There are many descriptions of Satan, but he is a master of disguise.

The horrific almost cartoonish description of Satan comes from the Middle Ages. If the understanding it is covering Satan, Ezekiel 28:14 says Satan was a covering cherub. There are seraphim we see in Isaiah 6:1-6 and in Revelation 4:6-9 called beasts, and cherubim, is in the bible more times, seraphim six wings, cherubim four wings. The biblical descriptions, I believe if we came face to face with, we would faint from fear.

Satan is not omnipresent; he can only be in one place at a time. There are evil spirits and evil angels he controls on this earth, we see in Daniel, battles that we cannot see, Daniel 10. The devil and his evil spirits can affect our life, and it can be vicious, Ephesians 6:12 but we far too often use that to excuse our own bad choices (the devil made me do it). Galatians 5:17

We also have been told, James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

    God bless,

I am currently going through the fire of my life experiences as my daily trials are literally encouraging and gravitating me towards taking more time out of my busy schedule, to READING the Bible, especially during work "at my workstation". I am challenged with leaning more towards focusing on GOD'S WORD, versus, wrestling against flesh and blood, because my fight is spiritual and not carnal. ( Ephesians 6:10) ( 1 Peter 5:8) ( II Corinthians 4:8-10) ............. Pray for me as I continue learning how to NOT do things my own way, but instead, following the examples set by my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • DOMINION, AUTHORITY, POWER in the Holy Spirit - In Reply - 2 years ago
Jesus did not become the Son of Man until he was born HUMAN.

The teaching is, that earth and creation was made for man (translates as male or female).

Only Humans had Been given DOMINION; power and authority to use it. Satan stole it when Adam and Eve sinned. Satan was created. He had no authority to be on earth as Human. His first form was as a serpent. His fallen angelic form, took possession of that serpent to deceive the humans.

Jesus Took Back the dominion ( Genesis 3:15) from Satan at the CROSS. He crushed Satan's head (power).

Please understand this. Satan has no authority or power over BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS.

We don't have to lay down and suffer Satans threats or oppression. He cannot get inside of Believers in Jesus. We have the Holy Spirit indwelling inside of our born again spirits given to us through Jesus.

We have the authority and the power to command Satan to GET OUT of our lives, our family, our homes, job opportunities, relatives. Our prayers have power, but we have to accept it and use it. Our relationship to Jesus needs to become close. We can only do that by getting into the Bible and soaking up scriptures for ourself.

If someone hands you a billion dollars, and you only use it, one hamburger and French fries at a time__you can't see what Jesus provided for you. Scriptures are your weapons. ( Matthew 12:43-45). The evil spirits come back ever so often to see if you really meant for them to move out. Reaffirm As Needed. Ephesians 6: they are invisible, but when "all hell" breaks loose, in your world: it's time to fight back with your ARSENAL OF WEAPONS. Memorize the scriptures. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring them to your mind; in the heat of battle.

Walking free of hidden sun, or forgotten sin, can be dealt with at 1 John 1:9, 1 John 2:1-2 + 2:20. The Holy One is the Holy Spirit.

We are HUMANS and beloved of God. Let's walk in the provision Jesus purchased in Blood.

Good Morning Heaven Peach and good to meet you.

Everyone who is a believer has the Holy Spirit within them. He regenerates us and implants faith at the time of conversion so that we can assent to the truth of the gospel and believe in Jesus. therefore, every new believer has the Holy Spirit in them and the Spirit remains within a believer throughout their life of faith in Jesus and on into eternity.

    Hi Raymond.

I have grown by the examples of others on this site.

    I'm a work in progress!

It's heart breaking to see the things that has crept into the Church.

I believe all false doctrine is inspired by Satan himself, So I try to look past the person and deal with the doctrine they're presenting.

    I believe that is when

    Ephesians 6:10-18. is applied.

I sometimes want to know a persons take on salvation. Perhaps I can get an Idea of who's inspiring them.

But we have to be careful not to entertain it further than need be.

    God bless.

    Thanks and God bless.

In a court of law Mary the mother of Jesus would be jailed. The account of her pregnancy was also not logical.

In a court of law Jesus saying he was the son of God wasn't logical, apparently, and he was hung on a cross at Calvary. When did the Bible become about logic? I thought it was more about faith God does what he wants either you believe it or not.

Matthew 28:19- (Words of Jesus about baptism)

    Matthew 3:13-17

Jesus set an EXAMPLE of baptism for us and all three (tri-unity) were there. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, all together, at the baptism. Jesus always led by example.

    I am not seasoned in the word YET as are most of y'all, but I do know enough to know that the Bible says this;

    Revelation 22:18

    Revelation 22:19

With emphasis on revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

    Hello again, Sola Scrip

I guess we will just have to differ on this because I do not wish to "x" out commands of Christ to fit a specific narrative about practices in the church we do not know about. Just because the book of Acts has a handful of examples of baptisms being done in Jesus name, we do not know the EXACT words the apostles used in these baptism, nor the practice of the other 12 apostles and hundreds of disciples from the Upper Room Pentecost, nor the leaders of the churches that were planted by the apostles. However, baptismal practices are reflected in the writings of the bishops the apostles appointed over these churches, so I will base my position on the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:19, the silence of the epistle writers as to the exact words used in baptisms, and the witness of the writings of the bishops appointed by Paul and John and others. You can think what you wish. I do not wish to comnend on this matter any longer. Have a good day.

What we know, and can prove with scripture, is that there are zero examples of anybody being baptized into the trinity formula of father, son and holy ghost. And there are multiple examples of people being baptized into the Name of Jesus Christ.

On top of THAT, we have this:

"Be it known unto you all, and to all people of Israel, that by the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand before you whole. ... Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

    Acts 4:10, 12

Pretty strong words there by St. Luke on the subject. I refuse to believe that Luke, or any of the other disciples of Christ, completely ignored a command from Jesus' mouth about how to baptize. And they all baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

Do you wish to be right in the eyes of men, ... or do you want to be right in the eyes of God?

"... let God be true, but every man a liar; ..."

    Romans 3:4

'father, son and holy ghost' isn't even a proper NAME. It's a general TITLE, and multiple titles at that. Matthew 28:19 does not follow logic, reason NOR scripture as a whole. We are to judge all teachers, as well as scripture itself, BY scripture. The Bible defines, confirms and justifies ITSELF.

In a court of law, the trinity doctrine for baptism would not be found legitimate at all.

Couldn't tell you exactly when, but it is believed by many that the Catholic Church is responsible for changing the baptismal formula. We have one single solitary verse in scripture that states "father, son and holy ghost" in Matthew 28:19, but interestingly all of the descriptions of the actual baptismal events, in the chapters after, use the name of Jesus Christ.

Did Jesus really tell His disciples to do it one way and every one of them completely ignored His Command and did it differently for every baptism ever recorded after in the Bible? Or has somebody changed the verse in Matthew to read something that Jesus never spoke there?

It is a fact that there are no accounts of baptisms anywhere in scripture that use the Trinity formula of 'father, son and holy ghost.'

Thought I'd share a perspective about prayer requests. I recently saw a comment about someone asking for prayer for her pet. And I think someone may have responded inappropriately. I don't recall where I saw it or who they were so I thought I'd just offer my input in general about prayer requests in the off chance that they see it.

Philippians 4:6 says to ask God for things. I don't think anything is too big, or too small to ask.

    1 Thessalonians 5:17 - pray without ceasing

    Ephesians 6:18 - pray always

With these verses in mind I think we are welcome to ask God for all things, but I do think they should follow God's moral law. And some things I will ask God for, but may not feel comfortable asking others to pray for.

For example, I don't want to ask God to help me commit a sin, and I wouldn't feel right asking God to help me hurt someone else, etc. Some things may seem small, but may not be to someone else. Pets to some are their family members they love. And I think they are gifts from God to allow us to have that unconditional loving attachment and feeling of joy. So, I understand how people want to pray for them.

I also respect that others may feel differently. Some have been terrorized and attacked by dogs for example and that could be hard for that person to genuinely pray for someone else's dog, for example, so I think that person simply should pray for other things instead. I personally don't feel right praying for material things or anything that can easily become an idol and puts an emphasis on treasure on earth, rather than treasure in heaven.

I feel more comfortable praying for a strengthened relationship with someone's family or to learn how to trust God more. Etc. So, I think in some circumstances if I cannot genuinely pray for a certain thing then I simply pray for those I can and maybe someone else is willing to pray for someone's specific challenge.

Also, some want their exes back, but I instead pray for God's will. God bless.

    Hey Dennis,

Satan is permitted, for a time, to rule over the majority in this world as we see when he tempted Jesus, Luke 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

We see again Satan who deceived the whole world when he is cast down to earth permanently, Revelation 12:7-9. He then gives his power, his seat, and authority to the beast over the world, Revelation 13:2. But Satan is limited in accordance with God's will and he dwells in darkness and that is the boundary of his territory. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

That is why we must do as in Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

If we walk in the Spirit and the true light is in us, darkness will have nothing to do with us, we have victory in Christ. The time is coming when Satan is cast down and gives his authority to the beast, those of us who are still living will see the darkest time and go through it, Jesus does not return until after the tribulations of those days, Matthew 24:29-31 Mark 13:24-27.

So, walk in the light and not in the manners of the world where there is darkness.

    God bless,

    Hi Dennis.

    Ephesians 6:12.

Just wanted to bring clarity to what I posted and what has been presented. I used 2 Corinthians 4:4. You see the work of Satan that hinders the mind of most of the world.

All the blessings mentioned in the other post is offered to the "whole world" but few will receive it. Mathew 7:13-14.

The Lord is calling a people OUT of the world."His Church" starting with the Apostles who was to be a whiteness but to be separate from the world where Satan is the prince.

Here is just a few scripture references of the Lord and our relationship to the world as we stand.

    John 17:9-16.

    John 12:31.

    1 John 2:15-17.

    John 1:6-12.

In Revelation-12:9. Scripture says Satan deceives the whole world. You see by then the church is taken out of the world Gods children Will be with him, They're children of the light. Satan is the ruler of darkness. Ephesians 6:12.

When a person is not born again "Born from above", He is what is called "In the flesh" and that flesh is controlled by principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness. His father is the prince of this world! Satan rules in his heart.

The Lord came to give you a NEW heart and a new spirit as he promised the Jews in Ezekiel 36:26-27.

    More references:

Beginning with Luke 4:5-7. Here you see Satan tries to temp Jesus to bypass the cross where he will bruise Satans head and have the final climax in Revelation.

Did you notice, Jesus never refuted satans claim?

This is why Paul stated this in Romans 8:19-22.

This is why Abraham pitched tents looking for a land who's maker is God.

Peter says we are strangers and pilgrims.

When Christ come set up his literal kingdom he will rule with a rod of iron and rule in mans heart.

    That has not happened yet.

    God bless.

What I do know is that God didn't lie:

Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"

Titus 1:2 "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;"

    -

The Bible says to trust Him, and not lean on our own understanding of how things should happen, or if certain promises should have applied to him, but didn't:

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

    -

Only God knows the "hidden things of darkness" in the hearts of men (we can't know everything):

1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

    -

And God's thoughts and judgements are infinitely higher than ours:

Isaiah 55:6-9 - 6Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

    -

The Bible also shows us there are things that can shorten our lives - I obviously don't know if this specific verse applies, but as an example, having certain things in his heart and actions (even if it's not this particular verse) wouldn't be honoring the parents who raised him:

    Psalms 55:23

"But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee."

Recently, I was pondering in my mind with the LORD about this account & I knew there would be a discussion about this. For some of us it's easier to fight, much more difficult to submit to circumstances beyond our control; especially when it's unjust. I relate with Peter. I was thinking how Peter had come to the realization the Jesus was the CHRIST, MESSIAH. Jesus had just said : Luke 22:27-30.

Is there much more knowledge we're supposed to get from this?

Luke 22:36, Luke 22:38, 2 swords enough? Do you think Jesus was being literal or testing them? Do you feel the act of aggregation saved the Disciples? John 18:8-9, ( I've thought that) but look at: John 18:10. "Then._." it seems to be after Jesus had already set their pardon.

    Luke 22:40,42, Luke 22:43-46, Matthew 26:36-44, Mark 14:33-39, Zechariah 13:7, ( Mark 14:27 , Matthew 26:56 )

    Matthew 16:15-27,

    * Mark 14:27, offended? Matthew 26:33-35,

Mark 14:42-50, Luke 22:47-51, John 18:10-11, Matthew 26:50-52, Were they offended because Jesus didn't fight, nor let them? after He had said to get swords? Would we be offended if Jesus healed our enemy, we thought we were defending Him from? Then rebuke them/Peter or us openly? John 18:6, Matthew 26:53,

Luke 22:54, John 18:15, Why did Peter follow? Luke 22:33, Where is our strength? In our flesh & resolve, or GOD & HIS will?

    Mark 14:29-31,

    Luke 22:55-62,

    Matthew 10:17-22, Matthew 10:28-34,

    Acts 12:1-12,

    Romans 8:34-39,

    Ephesians 6:10-18,

Do you think it was much easier to fight? Matthew 26:41, Luke 22:32,

    Isaiah 55:8-9,

I felt led to tell you personal experience. 1st time I saw something in resemblance of what you said. I was working 110 hours weeks + taking care of small children. Totally sleep deprived. I was driving after leaving work little early, right before sun rose. The freeway was well lit & from median, I saw dark shadow dart across freeway, in front of my vehicle, going aprox.60mph. It really rattled me. I actually watched it trying to figure out what the image was. Fear gripped me, I prayed. I chalked it up to sleep deprivation but even then, that was rattling. I felt in that moment danger. I stopped working as many hours. I may have seen a few more dark shadow creatures during my life, seems to be during dangerous situations.

Here are some scriptures I hope will be helpful.

Hello Lee. If you're referring to Eutychus (from Acts 20:7-12), we don't know anything about him except what is given in that passage. He is not referred to again anywhere else in the Scriptures. He was a young man, a part of the disciples (believers) gathered there in Troas, to listen to the Apostle Paul share from the Word.
