    Dear Fellow Laborers,
Ephesians 6 is connected with 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, and they have given us the full account of what had happened in the Books of Genesis 3, Isaiah 14:12-17 and Ezekiel 28:1-19. It is very important that every believer should have the full knowledge of what the spiritual warfare is all about. It`s very unfortunate that most Christians may not believe that Satan and his demonic forces/spirits are real. But the truth is that they are real, and if they were not real why would the gospels of Mathew 4 and Luke 4 speak about the temptation of our Lord Jesus Christ. The fact is that it is the desire of Satan to defeat us from serving the Lord. But thanks be to God that Ephesians 6 has given us the full details, and stated that we need to wear righteousness as a garment, use the Word of God which is the Sword of Spirit, and talks more about faith and staying in prayers always. With this knowledge, I do think that everyone who loves Christ Jesus with a sincere heart (verse 24), will surely stand against every of satanic tricks. We thank God that the Holy Spirit did not withhold this information from us. And every Christian must accept the fact that this is a true definition of the spiritual warfare.

I John 2:8: Again a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in Him and in you: because the darkness is past and the true light now shineth. 2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things like anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication, envy, hatred, etc; are passed away; behold all things are become new. The light of God in us empowers us to have our loins girt about with truth, and having our breastplate of righteousness, Our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, taking the shield of faith, wherewith we shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And taking the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:10.

It has been my experience that this is about realizing that EVERY thought in our head is indeed its own prayer, and we are to be MINDFUL of God and nothing else, so as to fervently watch that we do not blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Unceasingly means... we hold all thoughts captive to Christ... and CHRIST alone... it is NOT a religious mantra... God is THAT much every moment of every day.

The scripture is talking about powers and dark forces that we cannot see. There is a spiritual fight going on between God and his angels, and Satan and his demons. This is why there is a scripture that says put on the whole armour of God. We have to be equipped with the word and ready to stand.

Looking at this verse again, it is encouraging to think about the word extinguish, which means to really put out and render powerless in this sense. Keep in one's mind's eye a raging inferno that is suddenly put out. There may be quite a lot of smoke damage, and maybe some other damage too, but there is nothing to damage or harm the believer, if your trust is in God.

Paul is explaining perfectly the New World Order, which makes me wonder if Romans 13 is a mistranslation -deliberate? And in fact there has been no authority as are not in accordance with Gods' laws.

High places refers to persons, devices, vehicles, etcetera, who, through pride, vanity and fear, would replace the commandments, the sacrifice of the mass for whoredoms as in drugs, prostitution, porn and adulteries. All the best and in all humility. Peter

Ephesians 6:10-12. ...Be strong in the lord, and in the power of his might, -make sure your relationship with Jesus is mature and your spirit is filled with his divine word. 11-Put on the whole amour of God,...against the wiles of the devil, -take with you all spiritual weapons needed for protection and fighting in times of spiritual battle against forces of darkness. 12-For we wrestle not...flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers,... in high places. Here we discover the kind and nature of war: its a spiritual one against disembodied evil spirits as fallen angels working under the command of Satan, the devil. They are waging war from spiritual space and they cant be seen since they are spiritual. Here we need the blood of Jesus, the word of God and the fire of the holy ghost to win this fight.

We have to walk in faith with the boldness God intends us to do and use the whole armor to stand for righteousness and in faith.

What I find interesting is the efforts people will go to, to avoid this passage, or to do proper research to find out where all this "subjection" started in scripture, as it says in 1 Corinthians 14:34, "Just as the Law also states". The Pentateuch, or books of the Law, is where this commandment is located. People who do not like this doctrine, however, do not want to do the work necessary to figure out where, and when, this commandment was made. They avoid doing any research at all because the very idea presented in this command, is contrary to their desires. Lets do a little research, however, and see if we can trace this commandment down. That this "Law" was in place, from the earliest times is clear, if you look at the other references to women, and submission. ( 1 Peter 3:5-6) " 1 Peter 3:5 For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands; 6 just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear." That women, and many men, do not like this verse, either, as it clarifies that submission ALWAYS results in obedience to the will of the one submitted to, the same obedience as children to their parents in a discussion that includes wives being subject to husbands, Men to the word of God/Christ, Children to parents, and slaves to masters,... as this is the same word, is also another issue: Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Again, while this is the exact same word as Sarahs submissiveness verifies in 1 Peter, shows that the Obedience is the same, and always accompanies biblical submission, but it also shows something else, that submission was in practice PRIOR TO ABRAHAM. This does pin things down a bit. Where, prior to Abraham, did God give this command? Keep in mind that many twist, distort, alter, the meaning of this passage to fit what they want to believe as well, but if we follow rules for interpreting meaning that are common to ALL languages, then we know that If the EXACT same wording is used, by the same author, then the meaning is consistent, ESPECIALLY if the exact same wording is used in close proximity to the previous wording. In other words, if we had a passage that read this: Genesis 4:7 "If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it." And another passage that read this, Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you.", and the wording were exactly the same, and by the same author, and the passages were within, say, 15 verses of each other, the meanings of the two verses would be the same. What is the consistent meaning in BOTH passages? Keep in mind that this EXACT SAME wording is not used anywhere else in scripture. To help, sins desire was to master, or rule over, Cain, and thus have control over him. God said that this was not to be, and that Cain was to be the Master, Rule, be in charge, over it, and not let sin rule over him. A womans desire will be to rule, be in control, be in charge, over her husband, and he is commanded by God NOT TO LET HER, but to be the master, ruler, over her. Like I said, most people really do not want to look. Why would any woman want to give up the very things that the word of God says she will truly desire. Any man attempting to teach these things, and to hold his church, and the men in it, accountable for what God commands in this verse, will find out exactly who is in control of the households in his church. Men, keep in mind that there were 2 reasons for Gods giving Adam consequences in Genesis 3:17. The first is that Adam listened to his wife. The second was that Adam disobeyed God. Any man unwilling to obey Gods command to rule over his household, and not let his wife have control, is, in fact disobeying God at the same time. You are no different than Adam. You are habitually sinning. Ruling in love, and submission being voluntary, are, again, separate issues.

    @ CDFrom,
The fact is that even when we have flesh in front of us, flesh is always behind the spirit that moves it. So flesh is just a pawn, but the real force is spirit.
However, as you have that version, you can time after time copy extracts of the same and search them on Google. You may end up identifying what the version really is.
    Thank you for sharing.
    God bless you

I have an older copy of the new testament in which the cover and a few pages from the front are missing. This passage reads: We wrestle not ONLY with flesh and blood... The ONLY is a striking contrast to all other versions I have seen, and one word with huge implications, like 7 billion now living, not to mention those the memories of flesh and blood since past, that shape our beliefs. I often wonder about the translation, its origin, and which is true. End story remains the same GOD is GOD, I am not and Christ alone has paid the penalty for sin.

Everything indicates that we are in the end-time, woman chasing another woman's husband and likewise men. Chasing after luxurious things which one day, we will leave behind. all these is meaningless. Christians should take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God. Children need to understand that their Godly father will always train them in the way of God and that's why they should listen to their father. Bad children call 911on their parents. Fathers should be Godly in order to be able to train their children. Godly fathers don't get too busy not to be able to train their children. Note that God knows fathers can instill fear on their children and that's why God didn't mention mothers in this chapter. So, fathers should not abandon their godly responsibilities. Amen.

"....against the spirits of evil in the heavens."

There are no evil spirits in Heaven or Heavens (Sky). Thats not to say there no evil spirits transversing thru the sky looking for evil men and minds.....So, in that respect, there are evil spirits in the "Heavens". One view.

"....against spirituall wickednes in high places"

Another view. A more reasonable view when taken with the theme of the entire chapter.

This "High Places" are political offices of Man. Men who work evil in secret. Rulers who spread deceit....

    Taken together,

"against the rulers of the darknes of this world, against spiritual wickednes in high places."

"...to kill with sword..." ( Revelation 6:8)

I find it interesting that the word "sword" here is the same word used for sword in Revelation 1:16; Revelation 2:12,16; Revelation 19:15; and Revelation 19:21. ([Greek #4501 - in a James Strong concordance [cover and pages missing])

In other usages, #3162 is used for sword.

The #4501 is always referencing Jesus and the Word of God; whereas, #3162 seems to reference a physical sword.

Once in Hebrews 4:12, the #3162 is used saying the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword... So the word of God is being contrasted with a physical sword.
Also, in Ephesians 6:17 the #3162 is used; but, the sword we are told to take (the sword of the Spirit) is the Word of God.

I find it interesting that the sword in Revelation 6:8 is #4501.
