    We have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places, where Christ is at the right hand of God the Father. We have an inheritance that will not fade away, because we have been sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise. It is like buying a house, you put down earnest money, and that guarantees you that no other buyers will get that house until you close the loan. The Holy Spirit guarantees our inheritance, until the redemption of our bodies. So we are chosen in Christ to be holy, and blameless in Him in love before the foundation of the world. We have been filled with the mystery of His will for us, and all wisdom, revelation, with understanding that we are accepted in the beloved, by the blood of Jesus that He shed at the cross for our sins. We have eternal security by what Christ has done for us, and when He comes in glory, we will receive the reward of the inheritance. Praise God!!!

    @Athony,
    At creation and at mans fall, God is using us (plural), God where there was no man may mean a plural of majesty, which shows Gods grandeur and the grandeur of the work He was in; creation.
    It may also mean God speaking to other living creatures that were present there, like the angels of God.
    Some say God was speaking to Jesus, but I dont believe that. Because sure Jesus Christ is the firstborn of every creature ( Colossians 1:15); but that is in Gods prescience, Gods foreknowledge, just like God hath chosen us before the foundation of the world ( Ephesians 1:4).
    I hope this helps.
    God bless you.

    The Word of God is the will of God, and where there is a will there is a way. This letter of Paul to the Ephesians has always been a great blessing to me, and that has been through several times. In this commencement of Ephesians 1, Paul affirms that God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings, in the heavenly places. And that connotes that as Christians, we should not fight one another. And that is because godliness does not fight godliness, neither does righteousness fight righteousness. As a matter of fact, looking at it very well, they are meant to complement one another. And If you dont know what God has been doing, or that he has done, in and through another, then you cant fall into assumption and think that is appropriate. And that is one of the reason why Paul wrote the way he did, to remind us, as saints and believers, that we are already blessed. And if we are blessed, then what is the fight with others that are in in the things of the Holy Spirit? Honestly, if we know who we are as individuals, in the LORD, based on the covenant we wont get into any fight with one another. What we have been called into is to fight the good fight of faith. He did not say that we should end the good fight of faith. Some of us perhaps, instead of reflecting on the Word of God, are reflecting on the letters of the Word, and that is not right. As matter of fact, you cant talk about others carelessly or anyhow, that is because righteousness has its semblance from the Holy Spirit and does not do whatever he likes. And hence the import of true discernment. The truth is God does not reveal His secrets to His enemies, therefore the carnal nature is an enemy of His creature. If we are truly saints, then sanctity and uprightness have been imputed in us through the Holy Spirit. I thank the LORD, that I know who Im, in Christ Jesus. and that is through the grace of God that has been bestowed upon me. And that is what stirs me up, into rejoicing, in the Holy Spirit; for it is not by power nor by might but by the Spirit of God. You see, where there is no true fellowship, there cant be genuine relationship. And hence you cant expect real friendship, in that type of situation. I believe that is worthy of note. And that is because, every relationship that must stand the test of time, must be first based on love and truth. On a personal note, I love the Word of God and that is the reason for this; and truthfully in all genuineness, I have never seen anything like the things of the Holy Spirit before in all my entire life. God is good and He is forever faithful. Therefore it is imperative we have total dependency on Him and His dictates.

    Ephesians 1:17-20, these 3 positions offer us the spirit of wisdom, revelation, knowledge and understanding if we know our positions in Christ. The hope of our calling is heirs. We are justified in this position as sons and have heavenly birthrights, thus the "ring" of the prodigal son. "Our inheritance" is our adoption as the "eldest son" under the Abrahamic covenant. In this position we are "sanctified" and have earthly birthrights, the "shoes" of the prodigal son. Seated in Christ. The third position is the position of "knowledge for" healing. We are royal priests in the body of Christ; this is our position of "our power". Putting on Christ in his full stature (power, Acts 2), we are a sweet savour of Christ; and he cannot deny himself...we have "priestly" birthrights", 2 Peter 2:9. This is the "robe" of the prodigal and we come before the father as a church; head and body of Christ with "all power and all authority of Christ. Standing in his image (holy spirit) pure, clean and holy without spot or blemish. So call the elders (pastor and men) and have people healed, a church that is a spiritual Christ, before the father.

    Ephesians 1 just confirms in my heart and soul that my Lord and Savior is in total control. This chapter tells me that had he not have chosen me I would never have chosen him. Predestination and election are very difficult concepts for our finite minds to comprehend, nevertheless they are the word of God and I thank and praise him for it. Thank you LORD for saving me!

    We are enlightened by the truth that there is a vast difference between 'of Jesus Christ' and 'IN CHRIST' Because the first is the Person Jesus and the second is a PLACE and The Anointing.
  • Biodun Williams on Proverbs 4 - 12 years ago
    God's wisdom has Fatherly instructions, corrections, admonitions, information and guidance in them. As a matter of divine fact, His Wisdom originates from a heart of love, mercy, and compassion that are beyond human comprehension. Therefore, they are meant to stir you and I, as it were, into the favours and strength of God. And because God is God, and there is none compared to Him, it means that He can't lie. Hence, it is worthwhile and wise to give concentrated attention to His Word. God's Word is His Wisdom and His wisdom are His dictates, and they are meant for the good of whoever believes ( 2 Corinthians 12:9; Hebrews 4:16). Truthfully speaking, the fact that God does not do evil, but that He only does what is good and right, should encourage whoever cares to listen, to plunge into His truths, and also into His wisdom- and that must be through Jesus Christ, and also through the Holy Spirit, the Eternal Spirit ( 1 Corinthians 5:10; 2 Corinthians 3:5). The nuggets of truths, in this Proverbs 4, like others, are godlike precepts and instructions that are incomparable, good and right for the human soul, and for the spirit man, the hidden man of the heart, - and that mainly refers to the recreated human spirit. They are facets of biblical truths that are encouraging and also excellent for the godly type of life that many are craving and thirsting for ( Psalms 1:1-3, Psalms 37:4; Ephesians 1:17). Interestingly, depending perhaps on what background, a Christian comes from, the fact is that for the really genuine and committed type of Christian, a time will or must come that he will come into the knowledge that this God of Israel, the Father of our LORD Jesus Christ deserves to be magnified, glorified and worshipped; for there is none like Him ( John 4:23; 1 Peter 1:25). Thus, the place of wisdom, in the lives of whoever desires and dares to love and honour the Living God ( John 1:12; 3:16). He is, all that matters- and when you and I key into His love and faithfulness, He will do great wonders through us to the glory of His name. In view of these and many other things vis a vis the Word of God, wisdom dictates that we give ourselves committedly unto the LORD, and to His Word ( Matthew 6:33,34). There are challenges upon challenges that confront us, as individuals, and that is why, these truths and instructions, as contained in Proverbs, and throughout the pages of the Holy Writ, demand that we be faithfully committed to them. Remember, we have been accepted, into the family of the Beloved, and that refers to Jesus Christ ( John 17:3; Romans 8: 15; Ephesians 2:18; Galatians 4:16,1; Hebrews 9:14; 1 John 4:3; 5:13). And that is where the grace of God comes on board; His grace is more than sufficient ( 1 Corinthians 15:10; 2 Corinthians 3:5; 2 Corinthians 12:9). God has abilities no matter what task or assignment He has called you and I for. When you commit yourself to God's dictates and function in line with them, Angels will go on assignment for you ( John 15:7; James 4:16.). There are levels and degrees of encounters with God, that we can't get into except through daily obedience and practical submission to the Word of God. In fact there is nothing, as far as I know that can surpass what God has given. He has given Jesus Christ, who is referred to biblically, as the Wisdom of God, - and that is for the salvation and redemption of humanity. And when you belong to Him through the agency of the new birth, you automatically become joint heirs with Him. And with that you are sorted if you know how to walk or function in love, and then take advantage of what He has given through Christ Jesus, the Saviour of the World. The essence of these is that we should give attention to wisdom, embrace it, reflect upon it, and practice it. God's instructions and precepts demands heartfelt obedience ( Psalm 119:6; John 14:15; John 15:120; 1 Corinthians 7:19; 1 Peter 1:25; 1 John 5:3). It says whatever you do in word and deed, do it heartily as unto the LORD. Hence, in the things of the Spirit, and that refers to the Holy Spirit, high level of commitment should be the norm, and that is because God cannot lie, - and His Word is forever infallible ( John 1:1-14; Hebrews 4). Truly, God is forever trustworthy.

    Matthew 16:13-18 When Jesus came into the coast of Caesarea Philippi he asked his disciples, saying whom do men say that I the son of man am? 14 And they the disciples said some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. You notice the word they is two are more of the disciples answering Jesus. 15 He [Jesus] saith unto them, but whom say ye that I am? Now Jesus would like to know who the disciples think Jesus is, the word [them] implies he is asking all of the disciples who am I? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, thou art the Christ, the son of the living God. You understand Peter was the only one to answer Jesus. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, [Peter] blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: [Why was he blessed?] Because flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee but my father which is in heaven. The word reveal means to uncover, to make known through divine inspiration or revelation. Peter had a divine revelation from God the father that Jesus was the son of God, all the people thought Jesus was a prophet, just a man. 18 And I say also unto the, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Okay what is the rock that Jesus was talking about? The answer has to be the reveled knowledge from God the father. Satan would have no way of stopping a divine revelation from God the father to a disciple. This is what is wrong with the church today they do not know about divine revelation, and that it is available to the church today. How do I get it? Remember Jesus said whatever you asked the father in my name he will give it to you. I would pray this prayer; Father, teach me something about your word in the name of Jesus. Now if you do not believe this is right, go ask Paul in Galatians 1:11-12, and 2:1-2, and Ephesians 1:16-23, and 3:1-21. Paul had a encounter with Jesus own the road to Damascus, Paul received divine revelation about who Jesus was. In the book of Galatians, Paul talks about receiving revelation knowledge from Jesus, and he says he did not receive this knowledge from man. Remember Paul wrote two thirds of the New Testament, where did he get it from? Jesus Christ gave him.

    @Elizabeth Lee,
    This is why Christians need to study dispensational truth by Clarence Larkin. I Timothy 2:15, Gods plan of salvation for all mankind has never wavered, Ephesians 1:4, Matthew 25:34, Gods method may change, but not his plan. Jesus first purpose was the Jews and have the Jews to have the oracles of God and to evangelize the world, but the Jews rejected him as their messiah John 1:11. So the kingdom of heaven was postponed and ushered in the church age (kingdom of God). The responsibility has now been given over to the gentiles ( Ephesians 3:1-10) until the time of the gentiles become in ( Romans 11:25), at the rapture of the body of Christ. When Christ stated that it is finished on the cross of Calvary, salvation was available for mankind and extended to whosoever would invite Jesus into their heart as savior, Romans 10:9-13, I Timothy 4:10.

    It is the blood of Jesus Christ that He shed to wash away all the filthiness and shame of this present world. It is only by His shed blood that the price of our atonement, the redemption could be paid.

    Isaiah 9:6 Tell us his name shall be called wonderful counsellor,The Mighty God everlasting Father prince of peace.God said in ( Isaiah 43:19) Behold I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth shall ye not no it? well I guess that being proven.As far as Christ being a man and God at the same time and not! being able to govern the Universe that's a misconception of the human mind. Jesus said to Nicodemus a man who was confused like many here today StJohn 3:12 If I have told you of earthly things and you believe not how shall you believe if I tell you of heavenly things and no man hath ascended up to heaven but the same that came down from heaven even the Son of Man which IS IN HEAVEN!!hello. The Bible dose not say God the Son because The Godhead is not divide because the Son is only the (Word) which is God's prophetic description of himself which he incarnated into flesh. Not another person!! bur the expressed image of his!! person.Hebrews1:3( John 14:9-11) Jesus did not say he that seen me hath seen God the Son he said hath seen the Father ( Colossians 2:9 for in him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily Christ is not a fallen man like us. We can't limit what he can do; because of what we! cant do or don't understand that's why 1Tomothy 3:16 say's its a mystery. Not every one will understand; that's the book that is called the Revelation of Jesus Christ says blessed is him that readeth and understands.( Philippians 2:19)say who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God; But made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant. Yes he dose pray to his own spirit Deity!( Ephesians 1:9 says Having made known unto us the Mystery of his will according to the pleasure which he purposed in himself. Hello!!11th verse who worketth all things after the counsel of his own will.( Isaiah 40:10)Behold the Lord God will come with a strong hand and his arm shall rule for him. verse 13 who hath directed the spirit of the Lord; or being his counsellor hath taught him? with whom took he counsel Who instructed him and taught him in the path of Judgment and taught him Knowledge,and taught to him the way of understanding. Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered to me of my Father and no man knoweth the Son but the Father neither knoweth any man the Father save the Son and HE to whom THE SON WILL REVEAL HIM. So there you no nothing of the father but what Jesus has revealed blessed is he that readeth and understands.
