We are in a "siege" our selves. Regardless of which group in the city we are in, we all suffer. There seems to be no end in sight, however the right path for us to choose is in our Savior and Lord God Jesus Christ. Scripture and our own history reminds us of the grace and mercies from the Lord. Let there be no doubt in the loving hand of our God. Job 13:15 "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him." Ephesians 2:4 "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us..."
We must not despair for the promises of GOD are before us. Even the king of Israel tried to kill Elisha, blaming the prophet. The one counselor of the king doubted the Word of the LORD and paid for it with his life.
Let us "trust in the Lord and lean not onto our own understanding."
Look up for our redemption is nigh. The prayers of the saints are powerful and most needed; and our God is faithful and righteous in all His ways.
Numbers 6: 24 - 27
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.
God bless all, who are in Christ and love His coming. May 27, 2022
Leviticus 13:45, Leviticus 14:2-3,32, Leviticus 14, most of the chapter discusses the law of strictness, sacrifice, isolation, cleansing, hinting the severity. Leviticus 22:4, Numbers 5:1,2, Matthew 8:2-4, Mark 1:40-44, Luke 17:11-19,
2 Kings 5:1-14, note 2 Kings 5:15-27, Luke 4:14-27,
2 Kings 7:3-11, (the whole story started previous chapter/s & continues after verses I noted)
The providence of God is amazing. He chose to allow four diseased, discarded, disregarded souls to be the instruments of good news -- thank God that they did not allow their condition to dictate their behavior.
God's Word is yea and amen. When God is on our side, we will conquer all enemies. If we are on the Lord's side, victory is sure. The Israelites witnessed this clearly in this chapter. God used his prophet Elisha to convey His message to the Israelites. The man who doubted saw the repercussion. The lesson here is that should not doubt what God has promised to do.
Omologe Eseakpevwe John on 2 Kings 7 - 8 years ago
"According the word of the Lord" was all that was needed for breakthrough to manifest. No wonder Moses said "Would to God all His people were prophets". If you start hearing from God, your breakthrough has started. If God says anything, no matter how impossible it may seem, it will surely come to pass. Because God can not lie. We need to yearn to hear the voice of God and depend on Him to lead us
The "do nothing strategy" is the worst kind of strategy. You cannot be in a state of Inertia and expect things to happen. The 4 lepers took a bold step regardless of the consequences and saved a whole nation. Let us fear not, and take a bold step today for the Lord is with us.
God can make a way when it seems like there is no way. People should always walk by faith and not by sight. God can use anyone to deliver his people and god always provide.
2 kings 7 talks of spirit of faith.it 's out of their faith that caused live and not die.their blessing affected the whole nation is real out of hunger.if you don 't take a risk in life is risk by its self
If the lepers had not taken a step of faith, a risk that they would have not got the good news. Let's rise up from our fears and get the desire of our hearts.
I might be mistaken but I am thinking that the 2nd question in the Test Your Knowledge that they might have got confused about the lord on whose hand the King rested. I think it was the lord that went out into the gates not the KIng.
God is good to everyone all the time.He raises the poor from the dust and the need from the ash heaps and set them with kings.God wants to use the despised, rejected or looked down upon to show his Glory.Noone could assist the lepers nd were rejected in the community.Take a stand ,rise from your situation and God will intervene. He sent confusion in the camp of the enermy and they fled. When God wants to deliver his people he works in a mysterious way.Remember his works, ways and thoughts are different from ours and beyound our imaginations.
the lepers didn't have much to lose - so they took their chances and went into the syrian camp.
For some reason - this reminds me of what Jesus said "many last will be first"
We are all sinners, (Rm3:23) And because of sin we will die. (Rm.6:23) (Heb.9:27) Regardless of what choices we make in this life we will die. That is, physically. However. Christ has promised us new life through His blood if we'll but repent and believe on Him and accept His sacrifice for our sins. (Rm.5:8) Rather than give up and give in to the circumstances around us (whatever they may be) We have a choice we can choose life eternal and die to ourselves and put ourselves in the hands of the One who died for us.
Everybody is a product of his previous decisions. In life, we need to make risky decisions in order to succeed. For instance the 4 lepers risked their lives by going to the Syrian camp. Little did they know that their decision could rescue the whole of Samaria! So God can use anybody or situation to save his people. Christian should not despise themselves because God uses those willing to go for a mission. More over God respect positive decisions.
THIS CHAPTER MAKES ME FOCUS ON "sin of omission and sin of commission.
IN THIS CASE "SIN OF OMISSION". THE LEPERS KNEW WHAT TO DO THAT WAS RIGHT, AND DID IT. OTHERWISE, THEY KNEW - FOR TO KNOW WHAT TO DO IS RIGHT AND NOT TO DO IT, IT IS SIN. THEREBY, A SIN OF OMISSION COULD EASILY BE TURNED INTO A SIN OF COMMISSION.
THE KING COULD HAVE LATER FOUND OUT OF THEIR GOOD FORTUNE AND ACCUSED THEM OF STEALING FROM HIM. FOR THE ENTIRE LAND IN HIS EYES, WAS HIS.
WE AS CHRISTIANS, MUST REALIZE, IF WE KNOW WHAT TO DO, AND DON'T DO IT, OUR CONSCIENCE WILL EITHER ACCUSE OF OR EXCUSE US. I PRAY, WHEN YOU FELL TO LOVE SOMEONE, YOUR CONSCIENCE, (OUR CONSCIENCES) CONVICT US.
God's Word is always true, and the things that His prophets foretold always came to pass - 100%! Problem is most people, and sometimes professing Christians doubt its veracity, to our own detriment
you concerning a specific situation that you cannot know by the five senses. Example 2 KINGS 13-16 VERSE 16
you will embrace a son. another example in 2 KINGS 7:1 was stated at the time when there was a famine so great
that there was cannibalism 2 Kings 6:26-29 and the king blamed the man of GOD. iN 7:1 basically Elisha says
thus sayeth the lord revealed knowledge or word of knowledge in 24 hours there will be great abundance in the city
and of course the ones he talked to thought he was nuts! This also operates correctly with scripture and must
Glorify the true God and bless the body of CHRIST. Last in Ephesians 3:1-4 Paul was given in the church epistles
all knowledge concerning the Body of CHRIST no other man was given the abundance of the revelations that Paul
was given that's why the adversary wanted him dead. Everywhere he went and taught the freedom in Christ Jesus
there were unbelievers right behind him trying to talk people out of the walk via the spirit. Things haven't changed
there is nothing new under the sun.
